Growing up in the MC, Sons Of Morning Star, Marlowe Mills has never received respect from her dad, the club's president.
Treated as just another one of the stable girls for the club, she dances for the drugs she has become addicted to because of the Club Mother, a woman who rules the stable girls with an iron fist. Ordered to dance for a customer within a private room, she finds herself performing for Torin Montero, a member of SOMS, as well, the man she has been in love with since she was fifteen.
Torin, realizing her addiction, and hating the fact she dances for the pleasure of other men, locks her away in his room, where he helps her beat the addiction, then during a confrontation with Marlowe's dad, Torin kills her father. Marlowe's brother witness's the killing, and orders Torin to leave the MC, as well as to stay away from Marlowe.
Afterward, Marlowe's brother tells her that Torin and their dad died in a confrontation with a rival gang and orders her to leave the compound. For four years, Marlowe makes a new life for herself as she copes with the loss of the man she loves and becomes friends with a biker named Rook, who introduces her to the impossible.
