Maria has always dreamed of freedom, but her life has been shaped by decisions beyond her control. It was tormenting, but everything changes after she becomes engaged to Rico. She can’t have the life she wanted but at least, she gets to be with the man she loves.
Or so she thinks—until she witnesses him mercilessly kill someone in front of her. Her whole world collapsed.
