My eyes were open, but all that lay before me was darkness.

My heart jolted like a broken pendulum, slamming against it's cage of bone, stuttering at the realization that I couldn't see. I slowly raised a shaky hand to my face.

I saw nothing. No hand, no nothing.

I was blinded. I was a failed lab experiment.

Just all seems so wrong, Mare ends up getting double betrayed if you really think about it. Makes me hard to like Theo and Artemis.
