Tessa's Wolves Comments

I don’t normally go for werewolf stories but I guess this was one of those rare occasions where I liked it — very well written and very interesting storyline.

Hey, your friend ShanteHincey1980 from wattpad asked me to take a look at this book. It is not really my type of book, but I quite enjoyed it. The inner dialogue is really good when it comes to grammar and the rythym of the sentences. Yet, for me the issue is that it is mostly, almost only, inner dialogue. What I mean with this is that I miss a lot of description between it. You sometimes describe a new place or a new person and you do that really wel (and in this last unlocked chapter you do a very good job with the mate scent) but I miss the smaller descripitions in between like when she is doing something. Sometimes the lack of smaller descriptions make the writing dull and can result in a weird jump between paragraphs. (However, you still managed to make it work without it, so props to you!) In addition, I saw someome else in te comments mention the pov issue, and I felt the same way about that. Lastly, what I struggle with too is the "lack of action": as I said, those type of stories are not completely my type, so the goal for an author would be to pull people like me in, which mainly has to be done within the first (couple of) chapter(s). I honestly did not think that was the case here. The first chapters are mainly the main character giving explanations about the different creatures and what happened to her that caused her to leave. Her leaving is the only bit of action for me. For the rest the first chapters are a bit "mild for me", not giving me much excitement, not yet thrilling, etc. But, I have to say with this that I only read the unlocked chapter since I just downloaded this app for this story, so I can not say how much you improved in the next chapters (but I believe you really did). Since the main character now found her mate I assume that the locked chapters will contain much more action, plot enhancers etc.(chapters are called the battle). So, I guess the lack of action will change in the later chapters, so that is good! Anyway, I hope you did not find me comment/review too critical in a bad way (this is just what I think). It is only positive feedback, because I did enjoy reading it nontheless! Despite the feedback, you did great job! When I have more coins, I probably will also read the other chapters, because I do not want to stop when the real plot is going to begin! Goodluck with your story! Your writing has a lot of potential!

I would suggest you to post this on Wattpad. you will get good response there. besides, most of the chapters are locked here which may cause an abrupt stop to read farther since I've no coins at all😑. plus, I saw many negative feedbacks regarding this app. it'll be amazing if you post this book on Wattpad. readers will be able to read this without any complications.

Ok. I like the story so far. The main thing that is bothering me is the POV. It could be just me since I'm used to reading 3rd person, but the transition of first person and then to her brothers POV is a bit strange? I don't know. When were introduced to him you went from I in the same chapter to he or his. If your book is mainly in first person there's no way she could know the little details of how they met. I'm not sure if I'm making sense lol. If your are mainly doing a first person point of view stick with that and don't use others, or use them sparingly. I like the book so far, a bit cliche to be honest, but still good. So witches have heats? Interesting, but why? Is Haldir and elf or fae or something? What kind of immortal? It seems our girl is quite open and is willing to try different things once she gets into a relationship, which is good since she's going to be dealing with werewolves. Also, why werewolves, vampires and witches? The grammar and pacing of the story is good. I didn't notice anything wrong when reading. Keep up the good work!

Such a beautifully written story. Love that plenty of detail was put in, and I can tell a lot of thought was put into the characters and their personalities. I normally avoid reading werewolf stories, but I was pleasantly surprised and I really enjoyed this. ^ ^

Nicely written, I especially liked the way you describe their feelings. A bit fast-paced but not distractingly so. I might have to check more of your works. Keep up the good work!

I'm going to go ahead and be extra because I am a bit of a nit-pick when reviewing literature and I tend to get very detailed . I am apologizing before-hand for the on-slaught of jumbled rambling >~< First of all, I love the author's take on the supernatural. My tastes in literature are all over the place but werewolf fantasy tropes hold a special place in my heart. I have read a lot of them and I must say that this is different from what I usually read. It's still there but with a unique twist. It's very nice. Second, I love the fact that sex with no strings attached are normalized and not seen as something shameful. The fact that promiscuity is not looked down on but not entirely so that it makes it seem unreal is something I don't see often in books. I applaud. Third, although the book is fast paced and the first few chapters are information packed, it paces itself and settles in a pace that isn't too fast or slow. It's pretty hard to digest all the information the readers are immediately given on the first chapters but I understand that it was necessary. Another thing, the writing style is a bit different from most of the literature I read. It's not really that focused on action detail and the chapters don't drag on. It gets right to the point which I appreciate. The best way I can describe the writing style is... uhm, it's more true to the thought process of an individual. Does that makes sense? ANYWAY, this book is an easy read that stabs you right in the feels when you least expect it. At first, I was kind of iffy because the writing style and pace threw me off but eventually, I realised that it was all a trap. I find myself invested in the story and the fact that I am reacting and getting emotionally attached to the characters means that they're written well. I am warning all the future readers now that the characters will frustrate you to the point of ripping your own hair out but that's what makes it so good! (or maybe that's just my masochism talking) The on-slaught of emotion you will feel will mess you up LOL Over all, it's a really good book. An easy read and something someone can definitely go back to.

Hi Readers. Thanks for checking out my story. I have another I’m writing about Haldir and his life before, with and after Tessa. It should be completed later this week. He plays a role in the lives of the Mason/Hexom family for a long time.
