Please, please don't use abbreviations, especially POV at the beginning of chapters. Using Just the name in italics or with punctuation is better grammatically. Abbreviations have several different meanings. They can confuse the reader or convey the wrong tone for any work. Publishers I have worked for have literally sent submissions to the trash for using abbreviations. You are too good to let yourself be sold short like that.
