    This book is not romantic in any way, he is, a stalker,creepy, obsessive, and controlling in a extremly toxic way. He controlls her friends, her family, and even her job. She are not even doing anything at her job, she said so herself. And she, she is a spinless dweeb. Can't finish the book cause it is just toxic.

    I am in love with this story ....to know a man loved you so much hepushed you away during his darkest hours to keep from dragging you down when you where beginning your life path....then to get himself better just for her so he could continue to better himself to win her love back and to go through so much hurt heartache and grief trying .....I'm glade she's starting to see just how great his love is for his rosebud

    I'm like maybe a quarter of the way through.... I'm enjoying but I'm finding it hard to enjoy it at the same time. I don't understand why every single book I have read makes the main character so weak and easy. Book would be just as good if not better if she had a backbone. There's no way in hell I'd except the Apology from her sister without an explanation. Every chapter just makes her seem weaker and door mat. smh

    This story is seriously in need of being edited. At first I thought I was typing errors but the more I read it is like the person writing the story either speaks English as a second language or the story was translated to English poorly. My second problem with the story is the over the top jealousy by Ace as he insists he owns Emerald when they have not even been on a date. Really needs to tone down the jealousy and “obsession”. Perhaps the author is very young and this is how they see love but it comes off more as scary and makes you wonder if he would have harmed her if she had turned against him.

    I like the story fine. Actually I like the story a lot but what kills me is all the mental editing I find myself doing. Is a lot of it rather naive on Em's part? Yes. Are we left in suspense as to what is actually going down? Yes but that makes it intriguing. I want to keep reading for the sake of the story but I find myself putting down the story because I've become weighed down by all of the weirdly ordered words in phrases, or just wrong words. I wish the author success. A good story is hard to create.

I feel she should be able to be upset without being told how she should feel or understand Ace, but no one will understand her p.o.v.

    Couldn't finish it, only read about 10 chapters. So many words and phrases we don't use in the US made it difficult to understand parts of the story. Clearly written by someone not familiar with US high schools (unless you're extremely wealthy/famous, you wouldn't transfer from Cali to high school in NYC at 15/16). The writer is clearly unfamiliar with the locations used in the story. One has to assume when Em is pursuing a career in textiles (is this supposed to mean fashion?) she would be in NY CITY. If that's the case, she would NOT have a car, nor drive in Manhattan/NYC. I prefer to read stories where the writer is familiar with the places, people, jobs, and phrases appropriately used where the story is supposed to take place.

    For the most part I really like this book. But I hate the fact that Ace disrespects Em’s wishes/feelings. It’s as if he doesn’t respect her at all. What woman wants to feel like she doesn’t have a voice? He’s basically forcing his feelings on her without truly regarding hers. That’s really bothering me.

I’m just SO sad it’s over! I stayed up into early hours of the morning one day, only getting three hours of sleep and then going to work a 12 hour shift at work because I couldn’t put it down.     this book has so many wrong contractions that it is frustrating to read. I liked the the storyline in the beginning, but Em is really clueless and the secrets everyone is keeping was also getting annoying. it happened over and over again without very much insight as to why. to me I would like the book better if it moved faster instead of dragging on and on with the same plot line of finding out what secrets everyone is keeping for 30 or more chapters.
