He walked towards me until he pressed me against the wall, roughly grabbing my throat and squeezing his hand on my neck with force. 
"I will kill you, like the rest,"" he growled in my ear as I struggled to catch my breath.
"But the problem is, I can't kill you." His head rested on my shoulder, and his grip on my throat loosened, sliding down my body. 
"Because I love, you and I hate this."

I can't continue reading this.... The author may not be a native English speaker but the first chapter is atrocious.
