She tries to deal with her wolf-like violent self and strives to assimilate into the human world. It wasn’t as easy as she’d thought it’d be. She couldn’t completely suppress that part of her, such that she’d curse at herself. She even as much as started taking pills to suppress the unconscious part of her that would want to change.

not quite sure what to think, I was enjoying the book but up to chapter 6 is continuous. then it seems to be the relevant part where they are caught by Damon and taken somewhere. 
chapter 7 they’ve killed all their guards and disappear.
Where is the relevant part in between?
