One day I'm dealing with cranky toddlers and parents who work too much to actually parent, the next my life is turned upside down and I'm working in a bar for supernaturals. I might not know how to mix drinks, but strangely enough the skills needed to deal with misbehaving children seem to work well enough on vampires, werewolves and even witches. The good news is this job is interesting and hey, my boss might be a demon but I'm pretty sure that under all the grumpy expressions he is a total softie. The bad news is that humans aren't supposed to know about all this magic stuff and so now I'm magically bound to this bar until I can convince them that I won't go telling everyone. Or I die, whichever comes first. Sadly dying is seeming more and more likely because someone is after me. I don't know who or why but they are dangerous and they have magic. So I'll domy best to survive, and if that means spending some extra time with my scary but gorgeous boss then so be it. I'll convince him to trust me if it's the last thing I do.

I freaking love this, the main character actually has some common freaking sense!!!

Fair warning. This book is PG13 and the slowest burn YA romance I've ever read. Chapter 163, 4 kisses, MCs just started to date. FMC is supposed to be 27 but feels no more than 17 most of the time, the way she's written. The fantasy plotline of the book is nice though, but it drags and repeats the more it goes on.

I actually like in depth honest reviews. Whether they are good or bad, helps me decide if I want to actually start reading the book. so thank you to the original commenter for your thoughts. :)

this book is so good so far. I've been waiting for them to get together. because the Sparks have definitely been flying in a small way. some of the other books of this kind that I've read get super spicy steamy and it makes me blush. this is more to the pace of natural friendship to relationship.
