"I had thought that after everything that had happened between us, you would at least be willing to talk and open up to me, and we would be like every other couple. I had hoped that we could address what had just transpired between us."

 But before I could continue, he cut me off with a sharp, almost dismissive tone.

"Get up and go back to your chambers."  He said to me. 

“Wait, what?” I blinked, not sure I had heard him correctly. 

But his expression remained cold, his eyes were hard as he repeated himself, this time with even less patience.

"I said, leave." He said in a clipped tone. 
His words cut through me like a knife, it felt so freaking sharp and unforgiving.
