this story reminds me of another one I read except the girl was a lawyer estranged from her dad as well to avoid an arranged marriage. She too was gifted a blue Bentley and was staying at a hotel, her childhood friend was besotted with her as well picked out the gowns bought the beautiful ring and she bought him the watch to similar indeed

This book started off well. Towards the tail end of the book it seemed the author didnt want to write anymore and just ended it in the most ridiculous way to get it over with. You forget that its even a shifter story at all.

And the story has started off very well. Seems like she’s going to ultimately become more empowered. I’m glad she’s finally standing up to her mother-in-law, but this is starting off very slowly.

sables gotta make nice with the sister she's trying to be nice and friendly. even if she's the product of an affair its not her fault. daisy is gonna grow up and resent you if she doesnt and yall are gonna start an unnecessary sibling rivalry that never needed to happen from a girl that just adored Sable even when she barely knows you

As a whole I really enjoyed the book. What an emotional rollercoaster. I would be lying if I said wasn't devastated by the ending. Really hoping the writer will reconsider and write more for this book, there is so much left that can be explored and shared 🤞🏻
