It was good, but changed directions in the middle. There was a big embarrassing reveal at the gauntlet and heartbeak when he found out her real identity, followed by arranged marriages. Then suddenly the chapters were back in the academy after the hunters (apparently before the gauntlet) and he knew her identity but there was the new threat that revealed her identity and her mother's bloodline and inherited powers.
