I didn’t like Lexi at all here. she hides a lot and was broken and enough is enough. he has warned enough and something has to be done. I’m surprised it was so mild. Lexi needs to toughen up and stop whining like she can be abused but no one can stand up do her ugh how annoying and unappreciated.

I love that these are adults and not kids going to school, I think it reflects very well the fact that even when older, people don't stop being judgy and still gossip.. a very well written book and I enjoy it a lot! Lexi and Blake are so cute 😍 together, the build up between the two is soo well done!

I’m about 41 chapters in, and while I do like the book, I’m starting to feel fatigued by how much certain ideas are overexplained. For example, Blake spirals into the same internal monologue about studying Lexi--reading, note-taking, analyzing--and it’s often reiterated in multiple ways within one paragraph. We don’t need that level of repetition each time, especially when it mirrors thoughts he had just a few chapters earlier. Pacing needs to be better as not much has honestly happened yet.

Usually you don't know about the man lead at all. You got nothing and he's just existing for being violent and pretty, same old stuff. But your's has depth, misconceptions around him. I love the fact that she passes more time with him in the beginning than anybody else, that they began as friends and you can see them getting comfortable. any how I'm giggling all the time. it's wholesome. I wouldn't thought I needed it until I read your work.

DNF. The tiktok ads did me dirty. They insinuated the novel was spicy but nary a whiff is to be found. 40 chapters for a kiss and some hand holding. Beyond that, the writing style is just not for me. The incessant repetition of "not___, not____. Just" and all its variations, every single chapter, multiple times a chapter has me, not interested. Not enthralled. Just....irritated. Completely. Totally. Done. The chapters that dont overuse this phrasing are actually quite good though.
