Chapter 10
April
"Hugh, are you sure that this is the right place?" I asked in confusion.
I heard him tap on his keyboard before replying.
"Yes. That's the exact place. Why do you ask?"
"It looks like a party down there. I can see many people standing in the back with a paper stuck to their clothes with a price." I mumbled more to myself.
"Wha--" Hugh trailed off before an assumption popped in both my head and his.
"Do you think it's..." He started.
"I don't know." I replied. "But if that's the case then this whole war isn't just about two packs attacking one another." I finished.
I saw a couple of fancy looking cars park near the warehouse and fancier looking men stepping out of the vehicles.
I focused my hearing to know what was going on inside.
"This is a young, healthy, unmated girl of the age eighteen. I can assure you all, she's the healthiest there will ever be and very suitable for pregnancy." I heard a man announce in a microphone.
I couldn't believe what I was hearing and a part of me refused to believe it.
Those bastards were selling their prisons. They had no right!
"We're starting the auction with a ten thousand." The man called and I soon heard the bidders laying their bids.
The last one offered a million dollars for the girl and no one dared go higher.
"A million going once." The speaker called.
"Going twice."
Oh no you won't.
I quickly hopped to another tree that was right above the warehouse where a window was opened in the ceiling.
I heard the girl scream and protest as they dragged her to her buyer.
I swiftly entered through the window and landed on my feet right in the centre.
"Let the girl go." I ordered angrily as I looked at the man holding the girl's arm while holding the mic in the other.
He was wearing black pants, a black under shirt then a purple jacket on top with its collar and sleeve ends in purple glitter.
He reminded me of the people you see in the Hunger Games movie and he didn't look pleasant to me one bit.
I heard a series of growls erupt from all around.
"Who the hell are you?" A man whom I recognised as the alpha of the Silverstone pack asked angrily.
He obviously didn't like how I interrupted his sell.
I scoffed.
"Do you know how many times I've been asked that question?" I asked cooly.
"You think I give a shit?!" He yelled. "You better leave this place or else you're as good as dead!"
I let out a mocking chuckle.
"I don't think I can help with that." I replied as I started walking slowly towards the poor girl. "Cuz you see, you have something that belongs to me." I finished.
The alpha along with everyone else looked taken aback by what I said and their faces contorted into that of confusion.
"What do you mean? I took nothing from you!" The alpha replied loudly.
"Oh, but you did." I smirked before grabbing the arm the was holding the girl and strongly twisted it to the man's back.
He screamed in pain as I added pressure before kicking him in the back, making him fall on the ground.
"Run." I ordered he girl in a low tone but of course everyone else heard me as another series of growls echoed around us.
"Get her!" I heard the alpha bark out.
I watched as the girl sends me a thankful smile before running away along with the rest of the prisoners.
I smiled widely when I saw Mrs. Witmer running along with them.
I didn't dwell on my happiness for long as I felt the approach of many men.
I raised my leg and twirled in my place, easily kicking the one nearest to me before drawing my beloved friends. My Dragon swords.
I smirked one last time before running towards the group of assholes.
They were all easy kills as I swished my swords in every direction, effectively slashing through their bodies and killing them.
I noticed two men running at me from different sides. I waited for the right time before jumping high in the air to fall a couple feet away. They clashed into each other as a result.
Even though they were very weak compared to me, they were too many and it was only a matter of time before my muscles became sore.
I placed one of my swords back and replaced it with my Desert eagle.
I fired away with one hand as I slashed with the second. My legs didn't fail to help though as they kicked the men whenever possible.
Sweat was rolling down my face and blisters started hurting my hands. But I couldn't stop. They'll kill me if I did.
I retracted my sword from one man's body and was about to turn around to continue my fight only to be kicked in the back by someone.
I noticed that I've slowed down a notch and I was running out of breath from my excessive movements.
The man that kicked me took the opportunity of me being on the ground to blow a kick to my ribs. I heard a sickening crack.
I watched as the other men started approaching and as the man near me was about to kick one more time, a black figure descended in front of me and kicked the man away.
This gave me time to get back up on my feet and stand back to back to the person that came to my aid.
"Whose side are you on?" I asked, even though I knew the answer, I had to make sure.
"My side." He replied. His voice sent tingles to run down my spine but I shook the feeling off.
"What about you?" He asked as we watched the men growl at us before attacking.
"Definitely not on theirs." Was my only answer as we both ran in opposite directions, killing off the enemy.
He too had his own sword and was nearly as skilful in his blows as I was.
I couldn't see his face though and to be honest, I was too busy to just stand there and watch him fight.
With this mysterious man's help, we were able to finish off the rest of the men sooner than what I would've done alone.
I took in deep breaths as I tried to hey my breathing back to normal. My muscles hurt when I moved and I was drenched in sweat.
I looked around only to notice the obvious, the alpha and the bidders have already fled the place.
A bunch of puny cowards.
I turned my head towards the man that helped me only to gasp in shock.
His chocolate brown eyes stared down into mine.
Lucian.
"Mine!" He growled possessively.
