CHAPTER 4

Kapittel 4

Days have passed since Hades' encounter with Allison. They've only met once, but she'd tattooed herself in his mind, in his heart. He couldn't forget her exotically innocent face that matched her flaring red locks and sweet voice that made him feel embraced tightly by an odd, warm feeling. As every moment passed by, his mind joined the tick of the clock by constantly thinking of nothing but only her. It made him insane, mad. He couldn't stop thinking about her every single day, and worse, she even showed up in his dreams!

For the sake of his waning sanity, he couldn't afford another sleepless week, and his only solution was to see Allison again. He wanted to see her. He needed to see her. He was going crazy about her. He's getting insane. He hired a private investigator to search for her profile. He wanted to know more about her, more than just her name. He's curious about her, very curious to the point that he wanted to know everything. Everything. Even the tiniest detail.

'How old was she? Where did she attend college? What was her degree? Where did she live? How many friends did she have? Was there a guy in her circle of friends? What were her favorite cuisines? Places to go? Countries she wanted to travel to? Music genre? Was she single? If not, who was her boyfriend?'

He was growing obsessed with her.

"Sir," he heard someone speak, making him stop woolgathering and turn his head to give a heated glare to the person fearfully standing at the door. Jarred.

"You should have knocked," he coldly scolded his secretary who shivered in fear but managed to bow his head down instantaneously to apologize.

"I...I'm sorry, sir. I have been knocking a few times already but I heard no response and it made me worry," he reasoned to his boss that stunned and made Hades wonder: 'Have I been thinking of her that deeply?'

But he quickly shrugged it off, "What do you need?" he inquired, entwining his fingers from both hands and resting his chin there, his eyes eyeing Jarred with such sharpness, keenly observing his secretary's moves.

The young secretary stood straight and raised his arm, giving his boss a good view of a thick manila envelope, "I have the report submitted by the private investigator, sir."

'Finally!' Hades mentally celebrated as the news painted his whole system red. He extended his hand, trying to act serious and cold though he was feeling like a child excited to ride a Ferris wheel, "Hand it over," he demanded, and Jarred immediately submitted, taking long and fast steps towards him. Every step Jarred took was making him itch to stand and grab the folder, but of course, he knew he must keep his cool, and he's completely losing it!

"Thank you, you may leave," he told his secretary as soon as his fingers reached the ends of the folder. Jarred took his leave shortly, leaving Hades who sighed in relief for finally having his privacy since again.

The man gave off another deep sigh as he wore his rectangle-frame eyeglasses. He massaged his temples first before opening the thick manila envelope that was filled with various stolen shots of Allison along with a portfolio that contained the woman's personal information. It took his private inspector sleepless days to submit to him a thick profile check about her. He opened the portfolio and read the whole content.

Relationship(s) : Adams, Dane (ex-boyfriend,October 5, 2016 - September 19, 2017)

His eyes smoked in anger and jealousy as his face got dark in lividness. Like a spoon twisted by a psychic, the paper suddenly crumpled by his huge hand as he ripped it off from the folio and threw it into the trash. He entwined his hands together tightly, controlling his raging anger that was warning to explode anytime. God knew how his employees fear his short temper.

SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE SHE IS SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. SHE IS MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE. MINE! He muttered repeatedly over his jealous head.

He couldn't let another man have her. He couldn't let any man. She's only his. Only his. His. Even her childhood friend Brent Dawson Kane wasn't excluded. But what provoked him most was that Dane Adams. No wonder Allison looked like a terrible mess when he saw her! That man hurt his woman, not her body but her feelings. He won't let any man hurt her. No one should dare. No wonder she looks like a sick kitten on the streets the first time he saw her. Dane made her feel miserable. He sneered at a sudden thought; 'I'll make Dane feel miserable too, but how? Bring down his father's business? Beat him to a pulp?' But before he would make a move, he needed to know his enemy first, then he makes an attack.

Hades picked up his phone from the desk and dialed a certain phone number. After a few rings, someone answered his sudden call. But before the person in the other line could say anything, he already spoke.

"I need you to do something for me."
