Jason POV

The rays of the sun drenching my furniture in its wondrous glow, illuminating the dark corners of my office.

I took a quick look at my watch with my coffee in my hand and arched my brows in curiosity as to why my own personal assistant is late.

I sipped on my coffee. ''She's going to be fired,'' I mumbled.

Barging in, Nora came in with a file and approached me with a worried look.

'' Mr... Mr... Vella, um I have a file for you...''

''--Where's the personal assistant?'' I interrupted.

''Uh, sir, I can not answer that for you, I'm sure she's running late due to traffic and whatnot.''

''I don't care about traffic, she either has sixty-seconds to be here or else,'' I chided at the end.

''Yes, sir,'' she whispered, handing me over the file slowly.

Groaning, I raked my hands through my hair in frustration.

I shuffled to the bathroom and cleaned myself up quickly.

Today was going to be a day of working like a maniac. I had to do a video conference call with the stockholders of the company, and there were also two very important phone calls I'd already rescheduled twice. Everything is on my plate including my sister's wedding this week.

I came back to the office again and check the time to see if that girl shows up.

''-- Five... Four... Three..Two..''

BAM

I was shoved down on the floor and saw that my suit was spilled in with my coffee. I got myself off of the floor and arched my brows towards her.

Violet Johnson.

Yeah, I knew her name but I always preferred saying Ms.Johnson because A she's my P.A. and B it's better to keep it that way, for personal reasons.

''I'm so sorry. Are you okay? I'm so sorry...'' She spluttered.

Does it look like it?

Why are you late?

You should be fired right now

''--- It's fine really,'' I replied with a lie after she was jabbering and fidgeting to me.

After switching to a clean shirt, I took the coffee cup off the floor and shoved it to her. ''Now Ms.Johnson, I think you owe me some coffee.''

''Pardon?''

"Did I stutter? Give me coffee, two vanilla creams on top of it.''

"I don't understand, it was an accident."

"Oh I know, but this is your way of me to save you for coming late to work. I suggest you don't do that again. Capisce?"

'Yeah, Capisce,'' she whispered and left the room.

--

''Sir, there's no possible way we can transfer the money within two days,'' said Rodger, one of the board members.

I was briefly giving my own thoughts and deadlines to the company's money to transmit it to a photography company for their Fashion Week in London.

''-- Mr.Vella, it's impossible. Maybe we could place a hold and transfer the money by Friday, in that case, they could receive it by Monday morning," another board member added to the conversation.

''The answer is going to be no, this meeting is adjourned--''

Everyone chirp under their breaths and rolled their eyes at me. I knew that I pissed off everyone on board but I didn't care. It was my decision to do it now and move forward.

There's no such thing to hold things back in my company. It wasn't a suggestion it was something we had to stick to; I wasn't going to break my father's regulations to the company.

''Mr. umm Vella,'' a soft-voiced pitched and I turned my head to that voice.

It was her. Violet.

She adjusted her reading glasses and cleared her throat lightly. I arched my brows and looked around and saw each person pressed their lips in fear towards her.

"Ms. Johnson? You have a question?" I asked, drumming my fingers on the table.

"Um according to the statements from our finance committee, it's best to have the money sent out on Monday. Our market would increase by 5%."

"She's right," one of the members mumbled under their breaths.

I sighed and stared at her for a split second then looked around to everyone who was waiting for me to answer back.

"Fine, Monday it is," I said.

"Yes!" Everyone said in a cheering tone.

"Thank you, sir," Rodger said.

"Don't thank me, I was doing you a favor."

He frowned drastically as I turned myself to Violet. She clears her throat lightly and adjusted her glasses again timidly.

I took a deep sigh "We need to talk," I said.
