Chapter Nine

Marcus

Leaning closer, I pressed the button to open the garage. Smiling as Louis gasped at my nearness.

I liked that even after all this time, I still had this effect on him. The confined space smelled of his arousal. It made me hard. Knowing that he wanted me just as much as I wanted him.

Louis pulled the car forward, parking in the garage. His fingers shook as he pulled the keys from the ignition and turned to look at me.

I drew my hand over my seatbelt, pressing the button as it pulled away from me as I leaned over the center console. Close enough to kiss him as I pressed the button undoing his seat belt. His violet eyes darkened as they moved to my lips and I smirked.

Watching him shiver, his tongue darting out to moisten his lower lip as he tilted his head up towards me. His eyes slipping closed and my smile deepened.

Leaning closer, I breathed in his scent. Watching his pupils change beneath his eyelids. The glowing that showed through the thin skin making him look like something long forgotten. I brought my hand up, tucking a lock of blonde hair behind his ear.

The strands were silky beneath my fingertips. He needed a haircut, but the length suited him more than any other. It reminded me of when I had first seen him.

It was at court, a ball held by the elders as they searched for mates for their offspring. I’d only gone to appease my parents when I found him.

His beauty had shown through his sadness, and I knew that he was meant to be mine. Just as I was meant to be his.

“Marcus.” he whispered, as I trailed my fingertips over the shell of his ear and down his neck.

“Hmm?”

“Please,” his eyes fluttered open as he looked at me.

I leaned closer, pressing my lips to his. He didn’t need the build up. My love needed to let go.

His lips parted with a soft sigh as he brought his shaking hand up to my face, stroking his fingers over my cheek as my tongue moved against his.

I pulled back, his glowing eyes meeting mine. His lips were swollen, his cheeks flushed.

He was so beautiful and I felt emotions swirl through me. Love, gratitude, thankfulness to a higher power that he trusted this side of himself with me.

“Let’s head inside and I’ll take care of you.”

I could feel it as his pulse quicken, he nodded. His hand moving to the door handle as I let go of his seatbelt. Moving back to my own seat, I opened the door and slipped out. Taking off my jacket as I moved around the car. We walked through the garage. His hands were still trembling as he unlocked the door.

Placing my hand on his shoulder, I moved my other hand over his. Steadying his hand as we put the key into the lock. He looked over his shoulder at me as he pushed the door open.

“Thank you.”

Nodding my head, I let him go as we walked into our home.

We stopped in the hallway and I brought my hands up, tracing them over his shoulders before I helped him out of his suit jacket, letting both of our jackets fall to the floor. I leaned closer, wrapping my arms around his waist. Burying my nose in his hair as I breathed him in.

My Louis, my love.

Dragging one hand up his chest, I brushed his hair out of my way with the other. Pulling the collar of his shirt to the side to nip at his skin. Drawing out a moan as I moved my fingers to the buttons of his shirt. Undoing the buttons as I pulled his shirt lower, working my tongue over the thin deep scars that lined his shoulders and upper torso.

I hated that Nash had marked up my mate so. It was a constant reminder to myself and to Louis that he had once belonged to a monster. That afterwards, he had been fine to be anyone’s meat.

Just looking for someone to belong to. He shivered as I pulled the shirt from his slacks. I stepped around him, my fingers moving to his cuffs, undoing the buttons before pushing his shirt off the rest of the way. He pressed his lips to mine softly as his fingers moved to the buttons on my shirt.

Pushing his hands away, I cupped his cheek. “Not yet.”

His chin dropped to his chest as if I had scolded him, and my heart clenched painfully. I dragged my fingers to his chin and tilted his head up so our eyes met. “Louis, I love you.”

His eyes brightened at my words, I leaned down pressing my lips against his as I walked us back until Louis’ back hit the wall. My tongue moved against his, dominating him as I trailed my fingers over his chest. My nails scraping along the inside of his wrists before I linked our fingers together.

Dragging his hands above his head and pinning him to the wall and I nipped at his lower lip. Moving lower I bit at his chin, enjoying the low moan and the way he rocked his hips rubbing his cock against me. Biting around the mark where he bore my claim, I felt his arousal coursing through me white, hot.

“Louis,” I growled, pressing my thigh to his hardness, and he rolled his hips, letting out a whimper as I dug my teeth in deeper. My mate liked the pain, it was a fine line for me.

I knew that he wouldn’t tell me if I’d hurt him, but it was what he craved.

“Marcus.”

“Mmm?” I mouthed his flesh, flexing my fingers up as I dragged him higher. His breath was already coming in sharp pants and I knew I needed to slow things down or they’d be over before they’d even begun.
