Chapter Four

My lust didn’t fade. As Amelia handed me my drink her fingers grazed mine. I felt heat flow through me at the touch. I looked down at our joined hands and my eyes widened as I took in the hastily scribbled phone number and heart. My eyes flicked to hers and she raised an eyebrow.

“So all the girls leave you their numbers on cups?”

“There is only one number I want,” I said, winking at her as I unwrapped my straw and took a sip of the apple tea. Being around her was making me crave sweet tasting things.

“I bet you say that to all the girls.” She said with a half smile, unwrapping her sandwich.

“Only the ones with brown eyes and freckles.”

“So you have a type.” She chuckled, looking up at me.

“Something like that.” I wanted to tell her that she was my type. Well, her and Marcus. Unwrapping my sandwich, I took a bite, unsure of what to say to her as the silence settled between us while we ate.

Through the grating of the table I saw her foot bouncing, I wondered if it was nerves. Did I make her nervous? Humans could often sense what we were on a primal level. Even if they didn’t believe we were real.

The thought that I made her nervous made my throat tighten, I didn’t want her to be nervous around me. I wanted her to crave being around me, just like I craved her.

Bumping my foot against hers, she stopped and I gave her a half smile.

“So, what do you like to do for fun?” She asked, picking up her drink and taking a sip.

Could I tell her about being tied up? Would that be too forward?

Probably.

I could almost picture how she would look standing over me, a rubber flogger in her hand. Her cheeks flushed from a good session, her chest heaving as she stopped to catch her breath. My hands bound, Marcus watching us from the corner of the room.

My cocked stiffened at the thought and I closed my eyes, trying to stop. To will myself to calm down. It wouldn’t do to embarrass myself in front of her.

“Louis?”

“I like to read.” I blurted out,

“Me too, what’s on your nightstand?” She asked, the resting her elbows on the table as she leaned forward.

“Why don’t you come find out?”

“Tease,” She said leaning back.

“Edgar Allan Poe.” Couldn’t tell her that it was a bottle of water, lube, and a pair of shiny handcuffs. I did enjoy Poe. That part wasn’t a lie. The book was just in the living room on the coffee table.

She graced me with a smile that dazzled me and left my heart fluttering. “I have a cheesy romance novel about dragons on mine.”

“Dragons you say.” My grin widened.

“Yeah,” She blushed as she folded up the wrapper from her now finished sandwich and tucked it under her drink cup. “I like shifter romances.”

“Maybe I can borrow it sometime?” I said, watching her cheeks heat up with a blush.

“I don’t know, it’s a bit… Graphic.”

“A dirty book?” I gasped in mock horror, raising my eyebrows, covering my smile with my hand.

Amelia rolled her eyes and let out an exasperated sound, “I don’t know why I even told you about it.”

Her were cheeks still red as she looked away from me.

“I like those types of books too.”

She glanced back up at me, her eyes wide. “For real?”

“When we get back to the office, come into my basement and I’ll show you.” I purred and she blinked up at me.

“Louis.” She pressed her lips together and I couldn’t help but smile.

“I’m for real, maybe we can trade books sometime?” It would be nice to share this with her, Marcus wasn’t a reader beyond case files for work. Or the occasional bedtime story to the children. “What type of movies do you like?”

She rested her chin into her hand, her other hand picking up her drink. I watched her lips wrap around the straw as she looked up at the clouds. Lost in thought as she thought the question over.

My phone buzzed pulling me from my study of Amelia, I reached inside my pocket and pulled out my cell phone.

“We need to head back.” I said, looking at the screen with a frown. I’d been enjoying our time together.

Amelia let out a sigh, picking up our trash. She stood, tossing it into the trash can. Her hips swayed as she walked, and I couldn’t pull my eyes away from her plump ass. She turned, looking over her shoulder at me.

“You coming?” She asked, I was struck as the sunlight moved over her freckled skin. How the auburn strands of her hair looked like fire in its rays. How it brought out the warm tones in her chocolate brown eyes.

She took my breath away.
