Screaming is a big no no

Unedited

AFTER work Bethel went back to her aunt's house straight because she was already drained from work. She greeted her aunt with a kiss on the cheek immediately she got home, and ruffled the hairs of her two cousins who were in the kitchen with her aunt.

After asking about the whereabouts of her Uncle her aunt told her he was still at work. Bethel then said she would come back down to assist Vicky in the kitchen.

On reaching her room Bethel didn't notice the figure in her room as she just lazily hung her bag on the bag hanger, flung her shoes to God knows were and then threw herself on her fluffy bed. She knew she promised her aunt that she would come down to help once she freshens up but she just honestly wanted to lay down on the very questionably comfortable bed for at least 5 minutes, I means 5 minutes wouldn't hurt anyone right?.

Meanwhile, unknown to Bethel predator like eyes were stationed at her unwavering. The ancient god stared at the strange creature with an amused smile, the performance she just displayed beguiled him beyond words.

Nevertheless Seker didn't know if he should laugh or be dumbfounded- or maybe even do both -because since she entered the room he was quite sure she didn't notice him, the aura he was currently emitting was one that could easily make him get spotted without even trying, but 'she' wasn't even cognizance of his presence.

Getting impatient and tired of Bethel not noticing him Seker decided to do something to get her to notice his presence.

Flicking his fingers the lights in the room began to shake going off and on.

Bethel noticed this frowning a little she sits straight up on the bed with confused eyes. What the hell is wrong with these bulbs, she thought to herself.

Her eyes skimmed the entire room to see if it was all the bulbs that were blinking. As she runs her eyes through the entire room she then noticed a hooded figure at the edge of the room, what the hell?, With wide eyes she stared at the man wearing the hoodie, remembering she also saw him on the plane here.

"Boo" he suddenly said, making Bethel scream her lungs off, but to her surprise no noise came out.

"The hell?" She muttered to herself in mortification, why wasn't her scream voiced out, she sure as hell knew she screamed with everything she had.

"Yeah, about that, screaming is a big no no at this point in time. Won't want your family downstairs to come all the way up here now would we?" An oddly familiar husky masculine voice suddenly said making Bethel freeze completely. She surely hoped she was hallucinating, she silently prayed.

Finally finding her voice she said "wh..who the hell are you, how did you get here? Get out now or I'm calling the police you stalker" Seker looked at her in amazement, did this little human just regard him as a stalker, is this for real?

"I'm definitely not a stalker precious" Was his response back. Bewilder Bethel looked at the hooded man, was he serious right now, from all I said that was the only thing he picked out.

Still driven with fear Bethel spoke "yes you are, you're the one from the plane, am I not right?" She didn't know why they were still engaged in this conversation like they were just chatting. This man broke into her aunt's home for goodness sake, and only God knows how.

"Oh so you do remember me" was Seker's plain reply.

Bethel almost wanted to cry, pull her hair out and hit this man all at the same time. Why the hell was he talking like everything right now is totally normal, Because it certainly wasn't.

"What do you want?" Bethel asked cutting to the chase, though anyone could hear she was frightened to the very core. And for some reason Seker didn't like hearing that fearful tone in her voice. He frowned slightly.

He didn't respond to her question rather he asked a question himself that left Bethel more confused than ever before.

"Do you believe in God and Angels?"

"How the hell does that come close to even answering my question" Bethel frowned getting frustrated by the man in the hoodie, not being able to see his face was also adding to her frustration for some reason.

"It doesn't but just answer mine"He said.

With all the frustration building within her she finally responded with a 'yes'. Already knowing what her answer would be even before she responded because he already found out almost everything about her the day he followed her back home to her apartment in New York the first time he met her, Seker swiftly continued.

"Would you believe if I told you I was the Infamous Angel of death?" Silence followed after that. Finally, Bethel looked at the man in front on her, after standing from her bed and with all seriousness she asked "Do you take meds regularly Mr? Because if you don't I advise you start as soon as possible"

Seker blinked Once, twice, and then finally he gave out a heart warming laugh, making Bethel's heart to skip not one but two beats. She then intensely stared at the man standing right before her eyes 'what an incredible fuckin laughter he had' she thought to herself.

"You really are something, not only did you boldly call me a stalker, but also a mentally derailed person, you're lucky you're what you are to me, unless you wouldn't be still breathing what you humans call 'Oxygen' " after he stopped laughing Seker finally spoke again, confusing poor Bethel more with his last statement.

Getting really tired of explaining himself to the human female, he decided to throw her off guard by teleporting himself very close to her. Bethel watched in amazement as the man that was once in front of her Suddenly vanished, black smoke was all she saw where he was standing before, and without warning he reappeared right before her eyes again, but this time he was very close to her making her eyes widen more not believing what just unfolded on her line of sight.

"What the hell are you?" She finally asked when she regained herself a little.

"Like I said I'm the Angel of death dearest Bethel" Bethel didn't even want to ask how he knew her name, as she was still in shock. She pinched herself just to make sure she wasn't dreaming, and to her dismay she sure as hell wasn't dreaming.

"B..Bu..But...But" she couldn't even fathom a whole sentence at the moment.

"Nope not butterfly's darling, Angel of death" He playfully corrected "Now repeat after me An-gel o-f de-at-h" He called out slowly like he was talking to a little child.

At the same time Bethel repeated right after him, breathing out the words nonplussed "Angel of death"

"There we go, I knew you could do it" Seker said with a bright smile, although the shadow that was cast on his face made it impossible for Bethel to see it. A more intensified frown edged on the human females face.

Meanwhile at that same moment Seker was contemplating whether or not he should do what he wanted to do next. After much contemplation he decided to do it after all, and with a sigh, he used his magic to remove the shadow he casted on his face.

If it was possible Bethel froze more upon seeing he removed the shadow from his face. She could now see his soft looking pink lips and well defined smooth jawline, but couldn't see Seker's whole face because even though he removed the shadow that was on his face, the hoodie was quite large covering his eyes and nose, with her previous fear far forgotten curiosity began to eat it's way through her, she really wanted to see this strangers face. reason?, She really did not know.

Bethel then saw a soul crushing, heart warming smile glaze the strangers lips, and she was starstruck for a while.

Seker raising his hands finally then removed the hoodie.
