interrogation
Nathaniel
I was enraged beyond belief, that not only had my mate been in MY kingdom the entire time, but she was gifted. I would have praised such a feat, if it had not been for her to have the gall to leave me. How dare she. How dare my council be so incompetent.
I burned a good portion of the forest to the ground, until I realized that I could hurt my mate. I let out a grunt of annoyance, and made my way back to the castle. My generals cowered, pleading for mercy.
“My lord, we may retrieve your queen if you but let us live” they cried. I needed my queen, so with a clear mind I sat on my throne and made a search party.
I requested a bottle of my strongest drink and drank the entirety of it. I, King Nathaniel, the most powerful of the red dragons, rejected. I drank another bottle, and began to feel its effects, my sorrow and anger fueling my cycle of sorrow and rage.
I went into my study and destroyed everything with her scent, I couldn’t bare it, it was so unfair. I didn’t even do anything wrong, she was my mate, and what we share should be savored like I intended to. In my rage I burned my favorite chair in my study, it was woven with the finest linen dyed indigo and purple. It had been stuffed with the finest cotton, which sent me more into a rage. How could I do something so stupid over a woman. My woman.
I woke up with a migraine, and all my books and scrolls, what was left, on the floor. I commanded that someone repair everything, and I jumped out the window. With a clear, but throbbing headache, I focused on the scent of my mate.
Paige.
It sounded so mysterious. I had never heard a name like this in my kingdom.
I found a naked human skeleton and followed that scent to a town, a human town. I landed and let out a roar, then I took a human form. In my stupor I forgot clothes, I sighed, they will just have to enjoy the view. Everyone had run into their homes, and I ignored them, for now. I found a small tavern, that housed a closed sign on it. I opened the door, and I could hear 1 very fast heartbeat.
“Where is she? I can hear your heartbeats.” I ask in the silent room.
“Who Me’lord” said what sounded like a human woman, hiding behind the desk.
“A woman, cinnamon skin, dark curled hair.” I growled.
“She took a carriage this morning Me’Lord.” She stutters again.
I became angry. “Where to?” I say through clench teeth.
“I didn’t ask, but they stop at Redrun to water the horses.” she stutters, I hear her heart rate pumping faster with every word.
I leave the tavern in flames, and I fly to RedRun.
