Teasing men might end rather fun, or not...?

“Listen, I was thinking…” Anton stopped mid-sentence and looked away.

Seth raised an eyebrow at him. “I’m all ears.”

“I was thinking that maybe we can go out tonight? I mean together, not just out for a fun hunt or whatever. Lately, it’s always one in and one out, so it would be nice to change it for a bit, you know. I don’t know for how long you’ll be away but I already miss you, so maybe we can use this chance and get wasted together before you have to leave?”

Although Anton knew Seth wasn’t the biggest fan of getting drunk, one night wouldn’t hurt them, right?

“Let’s do it. No fucking around, though. We will go out there to enjoy ourselves. Why don’t we call this a goodbye party? Even if it’s just the two of us, I still think it’s fitting.” A chuckle left her lips, despite the bitter aftertaste.

She hated saying goodbye. Usually, Seth hid her feelings and put on her ’I’m okay, life’s amazing’ mask. Only Anton knew the dark details of her past, some of the secrets and how not-so-amazing her life actually was. But now, despite his knowledge, she didn’t want to show him how much the thought of leaving him behind truly pained her.

And just like that, as they laughed and sipped on wine while they got ready for a night out, soon both of them found themselves in front of the bar.

As soon as they entered the bar, the smell of cigarette smoke and cheap alcohol hit their nostrils. Seth faked a gagging sound. The bar was packed worse than the club Seth went to yesterday - some wolves had joined the regular customers.

And to make matters worse, Seth instantly sensed the strong aura of power and dominance that radiated from the furthest corner of the bar.

A wave of unpleasant shivers traveled down her spine, and soon enough, she felt like she was being watched. Seth felt as if her skin was crawling.

As soon as she felt the imposing dread, she considered leaving the place before the real fun began, but she quickly dropped the idea.

First of all, this was the goodbye party, she owed that much to her best friend. And honestly, how was she thinking of spending only God knew how much time surrounded by powerful Alphas, if she couldn’t stand the presence of one in a crowded bar?

“I’ll get us some drinks for starters. Don’t leave. Oh, and no fuckery, I’m watching you,” Anton shouted in her ear.

Seth didn’t say anything as he walked away and glanced over his shoulder before he finally reached the bar area. Unlike her, Anton was acting as if he owned this place. As if he was at home and had no problems to blend in with the crowd.

“Just go and dance while he’s at the bar. You’re here to have the time of your life before you’re separated from your best friend. Stop sulking and suck it up, snowflake!” She silently scolded herself.

After a few deep breaths and a couple more of choice words, Seth slowly moved through the crowd, towards the dance floor. The bar owner had to know a thing or two about good music, that much was clear.

When Seth finally managed to break through the massive crowd and reach her goal, she was surprised to see only a couple of shifters dancing. The fact that the majority of them were women didn’t surprise her the slightest.

She-wolves took up the majority of the dance floor, but Seth supposed it had to be a way they attracted men to themselves. While Seth preferred a more human approach to men - sitting down and waiting until she caught the attention of someone, wolves were nothing like her.

Women from more robust species and packs tended to put some effort into their actions only when higher-ranking males were around. Therefore, Seth instantly assumed that they were shaking their asses for the mysterious Alpha.

Her eyes scanned the crowd; she couldn’t help but cringe as two women grind against each other. Was that a price to pay, just to end up in an Alpha’s bed? Seth sighed, trying to avert her gaze and look for Anton.

Her eyes landed on the bar area; her friend instantly looked her way - grinned and nodded his head.

Seth stood aside from the crowded area and slowly moved her body in the rhythm of the music. For her, dancing was a way of escape and relaxation - she didn’t need to think; her body did the work, following instincts.

Even though she felt eyes on her, Seth chose to ignore all of them staring - her hips kept moving, seducing many men around the dance floor. Song after song, she wouldn’t leave the dance floor, enjoying how simple sounds could lead her body.

The more Seth moved, the hotter she felt - her body was covered in sweat, making her skin shine under the dim lights. If it seemed impossible before - Seth was a living proof that women, covered in a little sweat, could seem thousand times more attractive to men.

Anton watched her from afar - for him, it was a magical view to see. Seth had the energy of a temptress, that woman could wiggle her ass a little, and men would fall on their knees in front of her.

Seth slowly started to enjoy herself; the night seemed to start extremely good, despite the bad feeling that kept creeping on her. Anton finally got their drinks and tried to reach her without spilling the expensive liquid, yet it was more difficult than he thought, so he didn't notice how strong arms snuck around his best friend’s waist.

Seth gasped in surprise. She felt like the man captured her against her will. She was too scared to turn around and face whoever decided to approach her. That man, holding her, was huge - probably one of the high-ranked shifters she hated so much.

“Dance with me, would you?” A deep, husky voice spoke, sending shivers down her spine.

The man smelled of a wet dog and expensive cologne - it had to be the Alpha she sensed as soon as they entered the club. Despite his forced actions, for some reason, Seth enjoyed the strong arms holding her, sending pleasurable tingles all over her heated skin.

She closed her eyes, taking in a deep breath and coming up with a plan - she kept dancing. Her ass brushed against his crotch, soon enough feeling his member pressing against the tight jeans he was wearing.

Seth nearly gasped in shock - she knew that she always had some sort of effect on men, even Alphas had glanced her way, but this was the first time she managed to arouse a man as quickly.

Before he tried to speak up again, Seth grabbed his hands and tried to get out of his hold. Perhaps she managed to distract him enough to get out of the situation he created.

Yet, the man wouldn’t move. Seth stepped on the man’s foot, adding more force and throwing him an angry glare.

The guy hissed a bit but refused to let her go, “believe me. you don’t want to provoke me.” He tightened his hold around her waist even more.

Her back pressed against a rock-solid chest, finally making her understand how huge the male actually was. If Seth turned around, she would have to look up just to catch a glance of his face.

Even if she did, Seth was sure that the man would have to bend in his knees for her to see every detail of his appearance. Another reason to hate Alphas - the tall fuckers made her feel inferior even before opening their mouths.

“Let me go!” Seth hissed.

“Shhh, stop overreacting and just be quiet,” he hummed.

Seeing he wasn’t going to back down, Seth decided to lie. “I’m here with my boyfriend, I’m waiting for him to join me on the dance floor.”

“Then we will wait for him together. I’m a gentleman as you probably already noticed. If I wouldn’t be one - I’d throw you over my shoulder and bring you home as soon as I noticed you. Teasing men might be fun, or not as much. The outcome depends on how you behave.”
