Chapter 5: We have to leave now!

**Nala P.O.V

"I'm sorry mamma," I apologized as I chuckled. Seeing she was now drenched in water all because of me.

My mamma sat to watch me on a rock nearby the river while she scales the fish with a sharp piece of board, she would always bring with her to the river and took out the guts in slicing their bellies with her claw. I swim within the river enjoying the water hitting against my skin. I looked within the sky hearing the thunder rolls and then at my mamma knowing what she was about to say to me now.

"It's going to rain again soon, let's quickly roast the fish before we are unable to," she told me.

I quickly got out of the river, putting on my clothes, and search for some sticks for her, she will need in starting the fire and then we both went home.

"We won't be staying at our house tonight after I have finish prepare these fishes," I heard my mamma said.

I was surprised at what she said for we have never stayed anywhere else, but our small home.

"We're going to a strong place that can support you in holding you down this evening," she said.

I suddenly felt an awful feeling in my belly; feeling very worried at what she said. I lower my head as we both walked silently worried about tonight. Soon we were home. Mamma started roasting the fish. I sat beside her even more worried about tonight. My mamma placed the fishes on the fire. She then came towards me and sat next to me. I turned to look at her with tears within my eyes the minute she did. She held my face while she stared into my eyes.

"I know you're worried about tonight Nala, I too am," she told me.

I wrapped my hands around her as I cried.

"I won't let anything happen to you," she promised me.

I believed her, but I was still worried about what will happen to me.

"Why does this have to happen to me?" I inquired her as I removed my hands from around her.

"I don't know," she answered.

"Why did I have to be mated to the alpha's son ma?" I again inquired her.

"I don't know Nala!" my mom shouted at me.

I froze, surprised by her sudden attitude towards me.

"I'm sorry, she apologized as she brushes one of her hands against my cheek.

I brought my head to her bosom. She held me.

"It's a beautiful thing to be born as a Luna, she said. You just happen to receive the wrong alpha with an evil father."

I quickly moved my head away from her bosom smelling our fish burning. My mamma got up quickly running to turn them as fast as she could before she loses our meal. I watched her sadly as she turned them.

"We almost burn a good set of fish; the best set of fishes I have caught," my mom said with a smile trying to take my mind off tonight.

I gave her a fake smile; seeing she was trying extremely hard in cheering me up when she felt the same way I did, sad.

"Everything is going to be fine tonight and after that, we will move on with our lives like it never happens," my mom assured me.

I nodded hoping it was true.

I felt a small droplet of water hit my right shoulder. I looked up to see where it was coming from and there, I saw it was starting to rain.

"It's good I finish the fishes in time, my mom said as she quickly took them off the fire. I hurriedly went to assist her and ran inside. My mamma paused for a minute staring within the sky, sadly, and ran into the room.

"Nala quickly retrieves two Catalpa leave before the rain starts to pour," she told me.

I did as I was told and returned to her right away. As soon as I entered our small home the rain had started to fall heavily. I sat on the bed while she started to share our breakfast. I was not hungry but still, I did not want to turn down my mamma perfectly roast fish after she worked hard in preparing it for me.

"Happy birthday," my mom wishes me with the largest fish she had caught.

I smiled and took it from her, devouring it slowly. My mamma sat beside me on our straw bed joining me.

"As soon as the rain holds up, we will be leaving soon," my mamma told me as I bite my fish.

I gently removed my mouth from my fish, resting it within my lap as my stomach had started to hurt, strongly worried about what will happen.

"You do not like the fish?" my mamma inquired me.

"I do," I answered softly.

"Then why aren't you eating?" she inquired me worried.

"I'm scared ma..," I answered as tears escaped my eyes.

"I know you are Hun and me too, but we have to be strong she-wolves, that is the only way we will get through this now," she answered me.

I nodded while I wipe away my tears trying to be strong, but no matter what I try to do I could not I was afraid of dying and never see my mom again.

My mamma held me by my shoulder and pulled me towards her allowing my head to rest against her shoulder.

"None of this would have happened if only the alpha did just accept you as his son Luna," I heard my mom said angrily while she clenched her teeth.

Soon I heard the heavy rain on top of the roof no more. I removed my head from my mom's shoulder staring at our zinc top roof knowing it was time for us to leave. My heart started to race within my chest as I saw my mamma opened the door peeking outside to see if it was time for us to leave. She slowly pushed the door and turned to look at me. I got up instantly the minute she did, terrified.

"It's time for us to leave," she told me.

"Where are you taking me ma?" I inquired her while my body shivers nervously.

"To a secret cave," she answered me while she reached for a weird large bag hidden secretly underneath our straw bed, I was clueless about.

"What is that ma?" I kept on questioning her nervous as hell.

"Nala, please follow me, we need to leave now!" she shouted at me.

My entire body jumped frighteningly and hurriedly went behind her.
