Meet with a 'gentleman'.

The third POV

Leo and Jack came out of the autopsy room, looking disturbed. Their cop friend was found on the side road, eaten in the most horrific way possible. Every word the Mayor said echoed in their heads clearly.

“This was not done by a rogue. I checked the DNA results myself and found the killer.” The Mayor said.

"Well why are we standing here for? We should go after him!" Jack shouted in anger.

Alpha Mayor sighed and shook his head, "I need you boys to drop this case."

"Mayor? He murdered our friend! And you’re our Alpha!"

"Now listen here son, I understand your frustration. But this is not a usual case we can handle.” The Mayor paused, looking at their faces.

“He’s Ares Cascata, the most powerful gang leader around the world.” Alpha Mayor frowned, “If I send you to go after Ares, his pack will bring hell to our town…

“He should have died five years ago but I don’t know why, he seemed to survive.”

Leo listened in silence. He knew what happened but he couldn’t say anything.

"He’s a ruthless man with one heck of a pack behind him. Trust me, you don't want to piss him off.” Alpha Mayor growled lowly and hit his desk in fury, “But now, if he ever steps a foot in our territory again, by all means we will kill him."

Ending the call with Leo, Veera went back to bed. But she couldn’t fall asleep anymore. She recalled the image of the dark brown wolf she had saved five years ago.

He’s a killer.

I saved a killer.

Not wanting to go back to that nightmare again, Veera opened up her laptop and got to work. She just needed some distractions.

She checked the photograph she took of the models on the beach. Their smiles seemed to be the best comfort. She enjoyed looking at their naughty faces until something else caught her eyes.

She zoomed in the corner. A figure stood by a tree wearing sunglasses. She couldn’t see his eyes but she got a feeling. He was looking towards her when she took the shots.

Looking at it more carefully, she was surprised to find it was the handsome stranger she met last night.

After today’s shots, Veera decided to take a stroll on the beach. She walked a long way, enjoying the sunshine and taking some cute pictures of the dolphins in the ocean. She tried her best to forget the last night’s phone call.

I’m safe here. She whispered to herself.

As Veera zoomed in, the camera accidentally caught up a man surfacing up for a breath of fresh air. At that moment, she recognized him.

The dangerously gorgeous ghost man who gave her his jacket last night. Any girl would drool at the sight of him, since his body was sculpted to perfection. If you say the male model were pebbles, then Mr. Ghost must be was like a strong mountain. Ridiculously good looking. And it looked even sexier with dripping water. Veera didn’t even realized she was photographing the stranger male’s body without his permission.

As he raised his hands, Veera noticed he had a huge Irezumi tattoo covering his right arm. It consisted of two figures. One is black and gold with a Koi fish. One is a small red lotus flower.

Looked amazing! She needed to catch this.

Veera looked away for a minute to set her camera to the right setting and when she went back, he had suddenly disappeared. She looked around, wondering where he went.

"Are you looking for me?" A sound came from behind her and Veera turned around, gasping out of fright and yelped, falling on her butt on the sand.

"Looking for me, little bird?" He chuckled and repeated.

He was about to give her his hand, but Veera got off the ground laughing at herself, dusting her short shorts off, "Jeez! You startled me."

He noticed she had a red hibiscus flower tucked behind her ear. Adorable. He dried his wet face and stepped closer towards her.

"Hello again." He spoke in his deep voice.

Strange. She didn’t noticed he had an accent.

"Hey, emmm…” Veera decided to be frank, “I hope you didn't mind if I took some pictures of you?"

"May I see?"

Veera showed him all the shots and turned around backing up so she could see him, “you have a nice figure. Have you ever considered modelling?"

He chuckled. Veera thought herself stupid. Of course he knew. He must had a bunch of girlfriends who praised his body over and over again. He was hot with no doubt.

"The thought never crossed my mind." He shook his head.

Honestly, Veera was a bit disappointed. A waste of that hot body. Looking at her face, he laughed.

"But I would love to satisfy you. Anything you’d like to see closely?" His voice was so charming.

Apparently, he’s tempting her and he knew she couldn’t resist.

"Huh… you have pretty tattoos." Veera said shyly.

"Would you like to take a clearer look?" He stood closer to her, showing his right arm.

Veera gently put her index finger on the part of where his little red lotus was. It was incredibly beautiful. As Veera traced her finger across his muscular arm, He lowly growled suddenly. He actually got turned on by her touches.

Veera was so obsessed with by the beauty of tattoo. She thought he had made a sound but didn’t recognize what it is.

“It’s gorgeous!” When she pulled away, she saw his cheeks had gone a little rosy.

Was he shy? No, impossible! She shook her head. She must be imagining things.

"PASS IT!" A kid ran past them waving at his friend and shouting

His friend at the opposite end screamed, "HEADS UP!"

Veera looked forward to see a flying football coming straight at her head.

She went to duck. It’s definitely going to break her neck. But then she saw he quickly shielded her and caught the ball right in his hand.

"You ok?" He threw the ball back to the little kids and gently asked her.

Veera was still in dumb. It happened so quickly.

"Thanks Mister!" The kids ran away.

Veera breathed out heavily, finally went back to sober.

"Thank you! You protected me from the rain and thunder last night, and today you protect me from a flying ball. I don’t know how to thank you."

“And I didn’t even have your name.” Veera said.

“I don’t know yours either.” He questioned back.

“I’m Veera.” She reached out her hand.

He took her hand in his big one and held it. The minute he did so, he felt a little spark from her, igniting his heart rate.

Calm down. You’re going to hurt her.

"Veera?" Her name rolled perfectly, "That's a beautiful name princess, what does it mean?"

"Brave girl!"

Ares smirked and kissed her hand, "a pleasure to meet you brave girl."

Veera blushed retreating her hand back from him.

"And what’s your name, prince charming?" She humored him back.

"Forgive me, I forgot to introduce myself." He bowed like a gentleman.

"My name is Ares Cascata."

Veera stopped dead in her tracks as he mentioned his name. Her face momentarily go pale.

Ares Cascata.

Leo's words rang in her head like an alarm.

He’s the killer, Veera.
