Pleasure

Ava's POV

This man is maybe more dangerous than the rest of the threats on this road. The connection I feel to him after such a short time is strange. His touch makes me feel amazing but his kiss was like magic, it must be something to do with his powers. I don't want to trust him, my logical brain is fighting against it, but my body and my emotions are pulling me to him. I’m even stating to like him, he can be quite funny and he has so many interesting stories to tell. I also have to admit that he has saved my life 3 times now and while I do not see myself as a damsel in distress, there is something attractive about him being a knight in shining armour. Not that I would tell him that, his ego is big enough already. Maybe i’m just not used to being around nice men that show an interest in me.

On top of everything he has introduced me to the most divine food I have ever tasted. It was smooth and creamy and delicious. I moan as I finish the small bar, already wanting more.

I see something shift in his eyes at my moan. He looks at me like he is trying to undress me and I shift, uncomfortable again. I refuse to let this happen. He is a Fae and I am not. I will be banished or worse for being with him and on top of that his arrogance annoys me.

He moves closer to me “since you ate it all, I think its only fair that I get a little taste” he says in a seductively low voice. Before I can move away, he leans in and licks my lips and kisses me, forcing his tongue into my mouth and making those sensual spars explode inside me again. I press up against him wanting more, I feel his hard on pressed against me and I moan escapes my traitorous lips. He lifts me up and moves me to his bedded area. He pulls desperately at his clothes and mine and struggles to get them off while still kissing and grinding against me. I feel him pressed against my entrance, I’m wet enough that he could slide right in and take me.

“Stop!” I shout, logic returning. He freezes, the erotic trance broken. “We can’t, I’m not like you. It is forbidden” I say.

Ashton’s POV

“What do you mean?” I say confused.

“I’m not Fae” She says and looks away. My heart sinks a little.

“Well its not like we are going to get married” I say trying to hide me disappointment.

She frowns and moves away from me. “Even talking to you could get me in trouble, yet alone that…” She blushes.

She is right, my father is dead against cross species mixing and while I would love to piss him off with it, I don’t want to drag her into it.

“Wow are you actually not going to say anything.” She says joking.

“Sometimes I think before I speak. You are right though, even working together could get us in trouble.” I admit

“So do you want to split up?” There is a hint of anger in her voice and I can tell she is mad.

“Please, what kind of man would I be if I left you here alone, you need my protection, you practically attract the creeps that live in this place” I try to lighten the tone.

“Hmm, and I doubt that you would even be able to find your way home without me” She rebukes

“I could so! It might just take me longer…” I admit, swallowing my pride to see her smile. “Hey what are you anyway?”

“Thats none of” I glare at her making her sigh and change her sentence. “I’m a werewolf, I live in one of the smaller packs”.

“Then why not use your wolf to fight off those assholes who cornered you?” I ask curious.

“I don’t have my wolf” she snaps. “Go on, make fun, everyone else does.”

“I don’t understand, I don’t know enough about werewolf I guess. I’d happily find an excuse to lock up the people who make fun of you though” I offer

She smiles. “thank you, but I doubt you have space in your cells. Usually kids can change to their wolf form from when they are 16, but I have not been able to yet. I don’t know why, my dad was an alpha, so I should have a strong wolf.”

“Hmm if your dad was alpha, how come you are a servant?” I ask.

“He left me with a pack we didn’t know when I was young, he has not been back since. I think they put me down because they worry about me challenging their order. I mostly just wish I had my wolf so I could leave there.” She says in a quiet voice.

“That is terrible. Is there no one nice?” I ask.

“Well Ezra and his mum, but that is about it. That is why I need to find him” She says sounding more like herself.

“Wait so if you are not fae, how are you tracking him?” I assumed she was using some kind of magic, but obviously not.

“I don’t have my wolf, but I do have other abilities, I’m strong, I heal fast and this is hard to explain but I just know” She says

“That doesn’t make sense, try explain again” I say

“Well its like my senses are heightened and i’m connected to nature in a way other wolfs are not. You will think I’m crazy, but when I touch the trees they show me the way. I think it’s like a consolation prize for not having my wolf.” She says casually.

Panic fills me as I realise that I have been blindly following someone who says that the trees are showing her the way, yep I definitely think she is crazy. Until I look into her eyes, they are beautiful and so sincere that I do not think she is lying. I really don’t know enough about werewolf abilities to judge, probably another lesson I skipped, and I also don’t have a better plan.

“Please don’t tell anyone. I haven’t even told Ezra, everyone already thinks I’m a freak” she whispers.

“You are not a freak.” I say. The urge to pull her into my arms overwhelms me, but I keep my distance.
