Chapter 4 My Wolf Tries to Control My Body to Possess Her

Oliver's POV

I walked to the gates of the training camp. I didn't go inside but stepped up to the guards.

"The training camp does not allow anyone who is not an Alpha Warrior to come near it, remember that for me! I'll let this one go, the next time that girl comes over, you absolutely do not let her come near or I will make you regret it!"

"Yes!"

I was lifting one foot to go in when the guard suddenly called out to me, "Your Highness, your cheek ..."

Cheeks?

I glanced over the shiny glass of the doorway only to see that Princess Angelina had left a lip mark on my cheek. I instantly felt my face burn, especially where she had kissed it.

My mind couldn't help but think of that soft touch. How could Princess Angelina's lips be so soft! My crotch tended to get hard just thinking about the scene where she kissed me.

"Mate ..." the wolf in my head growled in a low voice.

"Shut up!" I cursed lowly and warned my wolf sternly, "Princess Angelina doesn't have a wolf, she can't sense a mate bond with me at all. According to the research, she has a fiancé and she won't accept us."

My wolf howled in my head. I knew it wanted to rip our mate's fiancé to shreds. And to be honest, I wanted to. But I couldn't.

Again, I said to myself, "It must be an illusion. A girl without a wolf can't be my mate. Oliver, remember your calling, you have to make yourself worthy to inherit the throne of Alpha King. You shouldn't mess with the king's granddaughter because of some delusion."

The exact words I had said in my mind countless times over the past three months.

It was the smell of my mate that drove me to the rubbish dump three months ago. I could distinguish the deadly, seductive aroma although it was mixed with the stench of rubbish and blood.

When I arrived at the dump, I sensed that she was the granddaughter that the Alpha King had been searching for for years. She had the blood of the more noble Lycan just like the Alpha King, not the ordinary werewolf.

I had no idea why she had been abused like this, and the moment I held her in my arms, I vowed that I would find her tormentors and tear them apart.

From the first moment I saw Princess Angelina, my wolf went crazy. It kept claiming "mate" and repeatedly tried to take control of my body to possess her.

As the pureblood werewolves who discriminate against hybrids said, the hybrid wolf of mine is flawed.

A hybrid wolf is much more violent and out of control, and its sense of mate bonding is not as accurate as a pureblood werewolf's. I think that's why I didn't even sense a mate at 20. Most pureblood werewolves find theirs at 18.

I held off visiting the princess for three months to avoid my wolf acting crazy, even though I wanted to know how well she was recovering from her injuries.

I never thought she would come to me at the camp.

I could barely contain myself from turning into a wolf when I saw her appear at the gate of the camp and say she was my girlfriend. It was all I could do to shoo her away in a cold tone of voice, but she surprised me with a kiss.

I couldn't help but reach for the lip mark on my face, and I couldn't bear to wipe it off.

The guard's voice sounded again, "Prince Oliver, there's something I still think I should tell you. The girl has asked her driver to leave. It's over 100 degrees Fahrenheit today, if we let her walk back ..."

I remembered what she had said to me earlier and turned straight back, "Damn! she really did let her chauffeur leave."

Angelina's POV

"It's fucking hot this day!"

I sat on the edge of the flower bed and tried to shrink my body under the shadow of the trees.

I regretted letting the chauffeur leave early. I was wrong, I thought Oliver was a gentleman and that he would give me a ride home, but it turns out he's a badass who likes to taunt.

The wet hair was sticking to my neck, making me look silly and wretched.I was dizzy from the sun.

I couldn't walk any further, my feet hurt, and I needed to rest.

I leaned against the tree with my eyes tightly closed and fell asleep. Half asleep, I felt someone rushing towards me, reaching out and gently patting my cheek.

"Wake up ... wake up, don't sleep outside, you'll get heatstroke."

I felt nothing but heavy eyelids and struggled to open my eyes to see a blur of a handsome face.

"Bad Oliver."

I mumbled and then fell asleep again. Or perhaps, passed out.

When I woke up again, I felt uncomfortable and my throat was on fire.

I looked around and found that I was lying in the Royal Medical Room. I tried to brace myself to see if there was anyone else in the room beside me, but I moved my ankle and immediately screamed in pain.

"Ouch!"

"What’s wrong?"

A magnetic voice rang in my ears, and I turned my head just in time to meet Oliver's sea-like eyes. I had butterflies in my stomach.

I ducked my body back subconsciously, but my arms suddenly lost their strength, making me about to fall off the bed.

"Careful." Oliver reached around my waist to stop me from falling.

His strength was so strong that my lips were almost on his cheek again. Luckily I reached out to block it, so I didn't get another lip mark on his face.

But we couldn't have been closer now. My nose was pressed against Oliver's tall, sexy nose. We'd be kissing each other on the lips if either of us moved.

Damn, Oliver is fucking sexy even though I hate to admit it. His burning breath was making my heartbeat more and more chaotic.

Not wanting Oliver to mock me again, I took the initiative and pulled away, saying sarcastically, "What does busy Prince Oliver have time to show up here?"

Oliver's swept over my heel-worn feet, and, a little sheepishly, I hid them under the covers.

"What are you looking at, it's all your fault!"

"I'm sorry, I apologise for causing your foot to hurt." Oliver bowed his head.

I was surprised at how Oliver had suddenly become so nice.

Just as I was about to give him some friendly response, he straightened up again and said in a mocking tone, "But someone's stupidity in sleeping in the sun causing herself to faint from heatstroke is none of my business."

"Oliver, you bastard!"

He's being sarcastic again. He always pisses me off when I get a little bit of a crush on him. I don't want to see him anymore.

"Go away!"

I huffed, jumping out of bed to getaway. But my body went limp uncontrollably just as my feet touched the ground.

Fearing a fall, I hurriedly grabbed onto anything I could. I didn't notice that I had grabbed the belt on Oliver's uniform. As I fell backward onto the bed, Oliver was dragged down on top of me.

His toned body was pressed against me, his warm body heat coming through his clothes. The scent of cedar from his body completely enveloped me.

My heart began to beat faster.

This familiar scent instantly drew me back to that night. It was this cedar-scented embrace that gave me the peace of mind that my nightmare was over.

Well, compared to the fact that he saved my life, his indifference and sarcasm towards me didn't seem that important.
