Chapter 5 Would you like to be engaged to Oliver?
-Oliver's POV-
Oh my moon goddess, it must be a joke with me!
Princess Angelina was lying beneath me, her soft breasts pressed against my hard chest. I could feel her heartbeat and body heat.
It was too bad.
My willpower almost collapsed instantly. I wanted to bite her, mark her, tear her clothes, even enter her and do something terribly excessive to her.
But I couldn't. I couldn't hurt her. Otherwise, she would hate me.
I almost jumped up from the bed. I figured I was fast enough that she shouldn't notice my hardening guy.
"Have the Royal Doctor drive you back later. I'm out of here." I said vaguely, not even daring to look her in the eye.
Princess Angelina misunderstood me, and she pouted angrily, "Why do you hate me so much? I feel avoided like the plague. I can't figure out what I've done to upset you."
Damn, how could she think that?
I glanced at her. Her soft, rosy lips, delicate white skin, and long sexy curly hair hit me instantly. How could I possibly hate her? I could hardly imagine a man in the world disliking her.
I averted my gaze again, "No such thing, princess, you think too much."
"Liar, you just hate me. You don't even want to look at me."
My beautiful princess, it's not that I don't want to look at you; I'm afraid to look at you.
"Look at me," Princess Angelina's slender white hand took the hem of my coat, "if I haven't done anything wrong, then the only reason you hate me is because you despise my origins. Is that so? The honorable noble Oliver heir looks down on me, a female werewolf from a small pack, right? Do you also think I'm not worthy of being a princess like some servants do?"
"Which servants are so ill-mannered? How dare they say such offensive words to you?"
"That's not for you to worry about. You only have to answer me, yes, or no?"
"Of course not." I replied in a serious tone, "I don't hate you, Princess."
"But you've always avoided me, Oliver."
Princess Angelina stood up and approached me. Her rose-scented breath sprayed on my neck.
She said in a low ambiguous tone, "Oliver, if you don't hate me, then, can I guess this-you're gay. You don't like being near all girls, including me?"
Damn, this is outrageous! I'm almost burning up down there because she's hot, and she assumes I'm gay.
"That's not a funny joke, princess. Go back to bed and rest. I'm out of here."
I pulled away from her grip on my shirt. But she suddenly wrapped her arms around my neck and said with a naughty smile, "Prince Oliver, you didn't deny it. Does that mean it's true? Did I accidentally find out your secret? Don't worry. I won't tell my grandfather."
I was tempted to correct her. But once I denied it, the argument between us would be endless. I couldn't continue to stay in the same room with her, or the beast inside me would surely rush out.
So I kept silent. Perhaps my silence would make her more convinced that her suspicions were correct.
"Goodbye, Princess."
-Angelina's POV-
Gosh, gosh, that's crazy.
I was joking, but he didn't deny it. Was my guess correct?
Oh my goodness, I can't believe I really found out Prince Oliver's secret.
If he's genuinely gay, I'm starting to feel sympathetic to him. Because if he becomes the Alpha King in the future, I'm afraid the subjects won't accept him getting a man as the queen.
What a pity.
At night.
Grandfather, Lisa and I had dinner together. Lisa sat in my arms, and I ate the same cinnamon roll with her.
"I heard you went to see Oliver today. Is that true?" the grandfather asked.
"Yes." I bowed my head sheepishly. I hoped grandfather didn't know too many details. I didn't want him to know about me asking Oliver for whoring money in front of everyone.
"I heard you asked him for money?" the grandfather asked me in a very euphemistic way.
It seemed that grandfather knew everything. I was so ashamed that I wanted to hide behind Lisa: " Grandfather, I was wrong. I just got mad all of a sudden. I didn't mean to do that."
"Oh I don't mean to blame you, I just thought the scene might be interesting."
"Interesting?" I was surprised that grandfather would think that.
Grandpa smiled and said, "Oliver has always been a very serious and decent kid growing up. Sometimes even I was curious to see him when he lost his cool."
"Both of his ears turn red when he gets angry. Very funny indeed."
"It sounds like you have a good impression of Oliver. He's handsome, isn't he?"
"Right." I answered my grandfather's question smoothly. I didn't expect his words to be rich in meaning.
"So if I were to arrange for you to be engaged to him, would you be willing to do so?"
"Engagement? Oh my goodness!" I was so shocked that I almost jumped up from my seat. Lisa was startled by my reaction and hurried to the seat next to her.
"Yes, an engagement. Oliver is one of the heirs I admire the most. Although he is a hybrid werewolf, he is more calm, intelligent, and brave than other pureblood alphas.I plan to pass the throne to him in a few years. Angelina, if you fancy him, I will arrange for you to get married. After I abdicate, you marry the new Alpha King and become the queen. That will give me peace of mind."
I was dumbfounded.
Marriage to Oliver? Oh my goodness, he's gay.
Wait, it suddenly occurred to me that the reason he acted so repulsive when he saw me today could it be because he already knew that grandfather had plans to arrange our marriage?
If that's the case, then everything makes sense. He doesn't like girls, and he knows that grandfather wants me to marry him, so he deliberately distanced himself from me.
" Grandfather, I don't like him. I don't think he likes me either. We don't fit."
"Oh don't be so absolute. I think he adores you, and you have a good feeling about him. I don't think you guys could be more compatible."
"But grandfather, I don't want to be in a relationship right now."
"Alright, I won't push you. You can get to know each other slowly in the future, and maybe one day you will change your mind. If you really don't like him, I can introduce other excellent men to you. I have 4 candidates for the heir, and each of them is excellent. I will find time to arrange for you to get to know each other later."
"Let's talk about it later."
I didn't want to throw cold water on Grandfather, but I had just experienced the betrayal of Matthew and my stepsister, and I no longer had any expectations of love.
The only thing I wanted to do now was to get revenge. And it had to be revenge on my terms.
