6.

"Mr Giovanni," Darius greets, Mr. Giovanni locks his eyes with Chanel for a brief second.

Chanel can’t believe that that is the guy she’s been looking for. Right in front of her eyes, in the flesh and man she could not help but feel awkward, she had slept with this guy too, long before she knew who he was.

"Darius, how are you?" He greets back with a smirk.

"Very good sir. This is our new Accountant, Miss Wilson."

Chanel forces a smile, "Nice to meet you, Mr Giovanni."

"Likewise, Miss Wilson," Mr Giovanni looks at Darius, "You can leave Darius, I’d like to talk to our new employee, we'll talk later during the day."

Darius nods and leaves the room.

"Chanel," Mr Giovanni says, "What a surprise."

Chanel rolls her eyes, "You still remember my name."

"That kind of behaviour can get you fired bambino, you don’t roll your eyes at me and yes, how could I forget the woman who gave me the most unforgettable night of my life."

Chanel lets out a sigh in frustration, "Just fire me now."

Mr Giovanni chuckles, "No."

Dammit, Chanel thinks.

"I'm sorry you're stuck in this situation, Chanel with me. I didn't know it was you, I swear," he explains, she looks in his eyes and can tell that he’s being honest.

Chanel can't deny it; it isn't his fault. It’s been months since this operation started, and she can’t afford to make mistakes.

She looks down, "I know Angelo."

Just then someone barges through the door, it’s Vincent. He looks like he's taken a bloodbath. Her stomach turns at the sight, and she starts to feel a little light-headed.

"Vincent! Che diavolo stai facendo qui guardando così?" Angelo yells.

[Translation: What the hell are you doing here looking like that?]

Vincent shuts the door, walks over to the tray with whiskey and glasses on, and pours himself a shot of whiskey, not feeling satisfied he gulps the rest of the bottle down.

"Perdonami Fratello ma abbiamo un problema sulle nostre mani." he finally says as he takes another swig at the bottle.

[Translation: Forgive my brother, but we have a problem on our hands.]

"Che tipo di problema?"

[Translation: What kind of problem?]

Suddenly Vincent notices Chanel who is standing and staring at him, frozen in shock.

"Cosa sta facendo qui?"

[Translation: What is she doing here?]

Angelo looks at Chanel, and she looks terrified and within a split second she faints, but luckily, Angelo rushes to her side and catches her before she could hit her head on the floor.

"Vincent, you know her?" Angelo asks as she carries her to the couch and gently lays her down.

Vincent nods, "Yeah, she's the girl I've been 'babysitting' for the past three months."

Angelo groans, "I can't believe this. Do you know all the girls I've fucked?"

"You had sex with her!" Vincent furiously.

Angelo smirks triumphantly, "Yeah, she is amazing."

"When was this?"

"Christmas of last year at Vanni's," he replies casually.

Vincent couldn't believe it, how come his men didn't know.

Angelo rolls his eyes, "So what problem do we have?"

"They bombed the warehouse, and I may have massacred a few people," he says casually. Angelo has always hated how psychotic his brother could be, yet again it came with the territory.

"Excuse me?" Angelo screams, "Uncle Vito and Uncle Dan are going to kill us, Vincent."

"Oh, don't be such a drama queen," Vincent laughs lightly.

"Don't call me that! And I’m being serious, you can’t keep killing people Mario, you’ll get us into more trouble, do you know that the FBI is investigating us right now."

Vincent only laughs harder, "Well I've already told Uncle Vito, and he's working on getting things fixed, by tomorrow morning it’ll be like nothing happened and fuck the FBI they’ve got nothing on us."

"That's great, now go get cleaned up before she wakes up. But I’m serious, Vince, stop murdering people."

Vincent nods and leaves the room. Angelo looks over at Chanel, who's still passed out on the couch. His brother has every right to stalk her, she’s gorgeous. Smooth chocolate skin that glowed under the sun, curves so smooth, long black hair and those mesmerising brown eyes; she’s still the best fuck he has ever had even though it only happened once, during the six months they were together, he will never forget it.

After an hour, Vincent returns in clean clothes, a marvel t-shirt, and a pair of jeans.

"Never seen you like that," Angelo cringes, "You look better in a suit"

"I agree," a sweet little voice says.

"Chanel," Angelo smiles and rushes beside her, "How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay, what happened?"

"Well, you saw me in a bloody mess and fainted," Vincent replies bluntly.

Chanel's eyes widened in shock; she remembers now. She’s never seen someone look so scary. She’s losing control of her emotions, and it’s only just the beginning of this mission, she has never liked the sight of blood.

"Just relax, okay, it was animal blood," Angelo lies poorly.

"Don't lie to her, Marko, it was human blood. I killed a few people."

Angelo sighs in defeat, "Vincent!"

Vincent only shrugs in response.

Angelo didn't understand why his brother was so cold sometimes, the reason he still wasn't married, but also neither was he.

"Why? How?" She stuttered at the brink of tears.

"She needs to go home," Angelo says, and calls his assistant to bring her belongings.

Vincent stares at his brother as he watches him care for his girl. The way he holds her, gently caresses her and whispers softly into her ear. He wants to kill Angelo but on the other hand, he can’t because only Angelo was good at the sweet loving stuff, and he’s his little brother, you don’t kill blood, no matter what.

"Mr Giovanni," his brunette assistant calls out from the door, Vincent walks over to take the handbag and laptop bag from her and pushes her out the room.

"Chiamata Gio ora," Angelo commands, Vincent nods and makes the phone call within minutes Gio was downstairs waiting for them. They use the secret exit to take her to the car.

[Translation: Call Gio now]

"Tu vai con lei, farò a lungo da qui" Vincent tells his brother. Angelo purses his lips and gets into the car.

[Translation: You go with her, I'll run things from here]

And they drive to Chanel's apartment. Gio walks in front of them and uses her keys to unlock the door.

"Voi, lo prenderò da qui," Angelo commands.

[Translation: You go, I'll take it from here]

Gio nods, "Okay, boss."

Angelo walks her to the couch and sits her down to explore the house. He returns to find Chanel rocking back and forth on the couch in tears.

"Chanel," he calls out to her.

She doesn't respond, her crying only gets louder. She’s traumatized, he thinks, therefore Vincent’s relationships never last, he always finds a way to psychologically torture every woman that is in his life, the only woman that could ever handle was Carmen, but she’s dead now and that has made things worse.

He sits beside her and pulls her into his arms, "Chanel baby girl, you need to relax, okay."
