Chapter 2 ~ Breakfast & A Revealing Dream

(Zarina & Ivory POV)

“Why do you think they want to speak with me.”

Growling slightly Ivory informs me.

“I am not sure because the Alpha hardly shows you any attention and your Stepmother only ever wants to speak with you to belittle you.”

“I know, I agree but because it was an Alpha summons, I have no choice in the matter let’s just get this over with.”

I sigh and start to get ready for the meeting. I go to the dresser and pull out a pair of black leggings, a white off the shoulder knitted wool sweater. I completed the outfit with sock’s a thong and a lace bra all black. I go into my private bathroom and place the clothing on the vanity, as I do I notice my reflection in the mirror other than the bags under my eyes. But I also see many of my mother’s features the pale blonde hair and fair skin but that is as far as it goes because my eyes are combination of both my parents a grey outer ring and striking bright blue in the middle.

I sigh and turn to heat the water for a quick shower, once I have showered, I get out dry off, put on my outfit, and put on minimal light makeup. I go back to my room and grab my phone from my bedside table and see that it is already 6:40.

“What should we have for breakfast after the meeting Ivory?” I ask.

“I think we should have blueberry pancakes and whipped cream for breakfast.” Ivory informs me in excitement.

“We can do that but first let’s get this meeting over with and then we can have Rose join us for breakfast.”

I head out of the room, the Alpha’s home is large and there are five floors and a basement, the basement is for laundry, cleaning equipment and holiday decorations. The first floor is where the Kitchen, dining room and the two living rooms are located, the second floor is where the Omegas that cook and clean the house live. The third floor is where the three rec rooms and meeting hall as well as the offices are located, the fourth floor is where the beta and delta live. There are also extra rooms for any visiting guests from other packs.

Then there is the fifth floor where the Alphas family resides which now consists of the Alpha, Luna, Rose, and me. I head toward the stairs and as I come to Rose’s room she comes running out in a hurry, I call out to her.

“Rose where are you off to in such a hurry.”

Rose turns and see me, and she gives me a radiant smile. Rose is what you would call classically beautiful. She has brown hair with natural red highlights, and brown eyes with flecks of amber but only if you look closely, she also takes care to make sure she works out enough so she can manage herself in a fight.

“I am heading talk to the Alpha, and Luna I was summoned to his office.”

“So was I, now that is weird, they want to see us both now I’m even more curious.”

“So am I, but on another note how did you sleep last night, you said that your sleep was restless the last 2 nights.”

As we are heading to the Alphas office, I tell her.

“Not good again, Ivory says I will understand soon I am not so sure.”

“Ivory is probably right just wait I’m sure it will be ok, if you want after we can discus you dream in more later.”

“Yes, I would how about over breakfast blueberry pancakes.”

We walked up to the Alpha’s office door and paused. I check my phone it says 6:55, I knock on the door. I hear a muffled sound of the Alpha beckoning us to enter.

“I turn the handle and open the door so both Rose and I may enter the office, I am rarely summoned to my father’s office. But per usual my father is in his chair behind the desk and Lu is relaxing on the settee in the corner of the room with a frown on her face. My father is a very intimidating man of six feet 2-inch height with broad shoulders, steel grey hair he and I share similar eye color a sharp blue, but he always seems to have a stern look on his face. My father and I are close in height as I are only five feet 10-inch tall, I am one of the tallest women in the pack.

Lu on the other hand has sharp facial features with thin lips dull brown hair and her eyes seem to have no life or spark left in them since her many miscarriages she also is not in the best shape for a wolf she has extra weight around her midsection which would not be so horrible if she were a bit taller but at only five feet 2-inches in height it does not look good on her. I know what you are thinking but in the werewolf community you need to be in decent shape in case of a rouge attack. My father clears his throat and asks me something I did not expect.

“Are you excited to finally meet your wolf? I know you must be I was at your age.”

“Yes, Father I am extremely excited to meet my wolf. I am sure she will be kind.”

“Well, the reason I summoned you here was to inform you and Rosa that you will be moving to the pack house temporarily as we are doing renovations on your rooms as a present for you it will take a few weeks to complete. Rosa and you will be sharing a room for protection at the pack house also because there are few rooms available, but you will only be sharing a bathroom with each other.” I speak for both Rosa and me.

“That is fine with us and thank you for the thoughtful gift father, we will go pack to move what we need after breakfast.”

“Oh, and it was Luella’s idea for the gift.”

The Alpha looked at the Luna proudly and I will not lie it hurt that he never showed be the same pride and that it was not his idea, but I have grown to accept it. My father looked back at me, and Lu had a smirk on her face because she finally got rid of me, I think.

“You should thank Luella.”

“Thank you, Lu.” We both said with a smile.

Lu got an angry look because I called her the name she hated so much. My father had no idea that she hated it. We excused ourselves and left to have breakfast and pack. We walked in comfortable silence, towards the kitchen. When we reached the kitchen, I asked one of the kitchen Omegas.

“Would you please have chef prepare some blueberry pancakes for our breakfast and send it up to Roses room.”

“Yes, at once miss Zarina.” She said with a smile.

We both left the kitchens and headed to Roses room for breakfast and to pack, we had just made it to the top of the stairs on the fifth floor when rose suddenly asked.

“How long do you think we should pack for?”

“I think we should pack for about 2 weeks as there are washers and dryers that we can access at the pack house.” I advised.

“Rina you should both pack a few warm hiking outfits.” Ivory said.

“Why should we pack this.” I said to Ivory in confusion.

Ivory did not answer right away, and I explained this to rose.
