Chapter 5 ~ Samantha contd

This man had yet kissed me and he was making me quiver. I could not wait to get him beneath me or over me. It did not matter as long as I had him inside me. He pulled back and we looked into each other’s eyes.

“I am sorry Samantha. I had wanted to taste your skin since I first saw ye at the hotel bar. Ye have such white, porcelain like skin and so soft.”

I said nothing just looked into his eyes trying to regulate my breathing. His eyes were pools of lust. The sexual tension evaporating from our bodies was thick. I could tell from the way he touched me that he wanted me as much as I wanted him. He stood and took my hand in his as he pulled me to the dance floor. I had not noticed but the beat was hitting hard just the way I liked it. I moved to the beat. I jumped. I swayed. And I didn’t care. He stood there at first looking at me then he slowly began to sway with me. His hands tightly placed on my hips. His chest against my back. I could feel his growing manhood against my ass. His breath was caressing my neck and ear.

“I want ye Samantha.” He said. “I want to be deep inside yer quivering cunny. Can ye feel how badly I want ye?”

I nodded.

“Nae Samantha, I want to hear ye say it. Say that ye can feel me.”

Breathlessly, I said, “I can feel how much you want me.” My voice shook. “I want you too, but…”

“No buts Samantha.”

I could only feel the rhythm of the music, the beat of his heart on my back and his hands roaming my body. Nothing else mattered. Nothing else was needed. We danced at our own tempo. It did not matter if the music was fast or slow. It only matter that we were together. After a few more songs we went back to our booth and had our drinks. He leaned in to press his lips on mine, but before he could deepen the kiss, Grace came back to our table.

“Lachlan. Sorry to disturb you, but there seems to be a problem. Jay will like to see you. Can I tell him that you will be up shortly?” She looked at me with a hint of a smile.

“Nae, tell him to come down here. I don’t want to leave my date alone.” He continued to caress my neck.

“Of course. Right away.” She left quickly.

Lachlan took a sip of his whiskey and turned to me. “I am sorry for the interruption. It should nae take long.”

“It is fine. It will give me some time to head over to the ladies’ room. If you will excuse me I will be right back.” He stood and helped me out of the booth and before he let me go he gently kissed my cheek and asked for me to hurry back. As I walked away I saw Jake come back to our booth.

My time in the bathroom was productive. I was able to retouch the little makeup I was wearing, used the time to relieve my alcohol consummation and as I was about to leave I heard my phone rang again. I pulled it out and seeing the hospital calling this I took it immediately.

“Doctor Thornsdale.” I got a few looks from the other ladies in the room. “Are you kidding me? You do know that I am on leave and that you should call Dr…” I hate it when I was interrupted in the middle of my sentences. Especially when the person on the other end was not making any sense. “I don’t care. I am not on call.” I could not believe this. “This never would have happened if I was back… We have a donor? Why didn’t you start with that in the firs place? Have you mentioned this to his parents? Good. Keep it that way. I want to see for myself if the heart is not only a good match, but if it meets my protocol. We have 4 hours to prepare. I will be there in half an hour. In the meantime, get a full blood check-up on Bobby.”

I hang up and began to pace in the room. And then it dawned on me. I had been drinking. I began to count the number of whiskeys I had. 2? 4? “SHIT!” New eyes stared back at me.

One young lady dare to talk to me and said, “Are you ok?”

“Yeah sorry. I need to go.” I walked out the bathroom towards Lachlan. He was gesturing aggressively to the same man that had approached him as I left. When he saw me arrive he stood and smiled at me.

“Jay. We will do as I have suggested and we’ll talk about it some more at closing time. If ye nae mind.”

“Not at all Dan.” Jake turned to me and said, “Gordian, it is nice to meet you miss.” We shook hands.

“Jay this is Dr. Samantha Thornsdale. Please make sure that she has a VIP service anytime she comes.”

“Of course I will inform the staff. If you will excuse me Dr. Thornsdale, Dan see you later. Have a great evening.” With those words he left and I stood next to Lachlan.

“Are you all right?"

“I need to go.”

“Why? Has something happened?” He looked around.

“I just received a call announcing that we have a heart for Bobby and as much as I would like to stay here with you I need to go.” I laid a kiss on his cheek and turned to leave, but he placed a hand on my arm.

“Of course let me take ye.”

“No there is no need I will take a taxi. You have things to see with Jay.”

“Samantha, I will meet up with Jay at closing time. Bobby can’t wait and if I can help ye get there faster then let me take ye.” He searched my eyes. “But I sense there is something else.”

“I’ve been drinking, Lachlan. I don’t think I will be able to operate with my alcohol level. SHIT! How could I be so stupid?! There’s a Child’s life is in danger.”

“Come let us get some thing inside ye while we head our way. We need to get going if ye need to make it to the hospital on time. And stop being so hard on yerself. Ye were nae on call. Even ye need a night off.”

He took my hand and with a hurried pace we walked through the club. At the entrance he asked for his chauffeur to bring around the car quickly. Once inside I began to make several calls. The first was my intern Michael Lewis. After two attempts he finally answered – it was 3 in the morning so it was expected.

“Lewis? It’s Thornsdale. We have a heart for Bobby. You will be scrubbing in. I am on my way to the hospital and I have ordered some additional test to be done. Meet me there.” I completed my conversation and closed off my phone.

“That was quick. Ye did not let him say a word.”

“He is my intern. He is there to execute my orders and learn. He has been working with me for the past three months.” I went through my phone checking for different contacts and send a few messages. “Did you know that I went through 4 different interns before Lewis? He’s able to execute an order, work dilintgently and even able to question me when he disagrees. I wanted an interne not a Robot and that is what he is. And besides with my instruction him he’ll be a great surgeon. He’s working with the best.”

“Are ye always this sure of yourself?” Moving to face me with a smile.

“Aren’t you? Like you I know what I am worth. And I am worth the money I am paid. I’m not the heartless bitch people think I am.” To further my point, I looked up from my phone and into to his eyes. “For every two paid operations I do, I do one pro-bono. I created my own association that helps me determine the cases I should work on. Everything is paid by it. My name never appears in any of the papers except as the operating surgeon.”

After some silence he asked, “Yer fees are paid as well?”

“No. My fees are not included for they are non-existent.”

He looked at me intensively. “Why would people think ye are a heartless bitch?”

“I’ll admit that I’m not an easy person to work with. I am very demanding and expect the best and nothing less. I will not interact with my colleagues on a social status. I am called to do a job and I will do it. I am not here to make friends. I have plenty. And I like to keep my private life, just that…private. Does it bother me what people say and call me behind my back? No!”
