Victoria's POV

''Oh my God, Vicky,'' Mom yelled and rushed to me.

''What were you thinking.'' She asked as she took my bleeding finger and stared at it with anger

''You can't be in the kitchen with bleeding fingers, go to the mansion and find something else to do.'' She spoke in a disappointed tune and took the tray away from me.

''I'm so sorry.'' I murmured, but she ignored me and looked away, while she grumbles to herself.

That was me, I could never get anything right.

Ashamed of myself, I left the kitchen, walked through the stairway and met Clinton with a group of werewolf males just like him. Acting like I did not notice him, I wanted to walk away, but he noticed me and walked up to me

''You are wounded.'' He said those words and took my wounded finger.

''Typical me, always clumsy.'' I chuckled softly and tried taking my hand away from him, but he tightened his grip and smiled at me

''Relax.'' He whispered those words to me, closed his eyes and took in a deep breath.

Like a twinkle of an eye, the pains and cut in my finger were gone, and only a little mark was seen.

''All done.'' He smiled widely at me and let go of my hand.

''You shouldn't have stressed yourself.''

''It's not stress, it's a gift given to me by the moon goddess and I love using it.'' He flashed me a cute smile which brought a flutter to my heart before going back to meet up with his friends.

''Lucky you.'' I murmured to myself as I watch him walk away with his group.

Every werewolf was gifted with a special gift or abilities by the moon goddess, but of course, you know I'm different, no wolf, no gift.

Sighing heavily, I walked around the house and could see how busy everyone was, preparing for the arrival of alpha Derick.

''Victoria.'' I heard Sonia calling me

Slowly I turned around and smiled widely at her

''What are you doing here, I thought you would be in the kitchen.'' She asked while giving me a quizzical look

''I injured myself.''

''Where.'' She asked, while staring at me, to see where I was injured.

''Here.'' I showed my already healed finger to Sonia

''But Clinton healed it.'' I murmured and kept back the finger

''Today is a day of great celebration, Alpha Derick is coming back, and our pack will be whole and feared by many, but why are you this moody.'' Sonia asked as she moved closer to me.

I sighed softly and shrugged my shoulders

''How can I be happy when I'm the only different one here.'' I murmured

''Don't say that, you are just like us, wolf or no wolf.'' She tried comforting me like she always does, but this time it wasn't working.

''Easy for you to say, you shifted comfortably into your wolf at the age of eighteen, found your mate at the age of nineteen and were blessed with an incredible gift from the moon goddess, but look at me, I'm already twenty, and no sign of my wolf, or any gifted ability.'' I mumbled those words and drew back the tears threatening to fall down my cheek.

I noticed Sonia stared at me with pity before she placed her two hands on my shoulders

''I know you are made special, even though I can't see it in my vision.''she said those words and flashed me a warm smile

''Hopefully.'' I replied and took off her hands off my shoulders.

''I need to go back to the kitchen, see you later.'' I did not let those words finish from my mouth before I started walking away.

Three more months, and after three months all this will be over.

I got back to the kitchen and noticed mom was already done chopping the carrot, she turned around and noticed me walking in.

''You met Clinton.'' She asked while staring at my healed finger

''No, he actually saw me, and decided to help.'' I replied and sought something to do.

Mom stared at me like she wanted to say something, but she held her words back.

We both worked and prepare food that will be eaten by alpha Derick and his family, while the food made for the guests and pack members was cooked by other servants in the servant's quarter kitchen.

''You don't look happy.''mom finally spoke after minutes of silence.

''I'm fine, I'm not a kid anymore, you don't have to worry about me.'' I grumbled

''Maybe if you have your wolf and abilities, I wouldn't be so worried about you.'' Mother did not know when that left her lips.

I could see the shocked look on her face as she bites her lips with guilt. I knew she never wanted to say that to me, but she was right, If only I had my wolf everything would have been different.

''Don't worry mother, once I get to Australia, you will have no need to get worried about me.'' I said words In a comfortable tune and continued what I was doing.

''You know I don't mean it that way..'' I did not let her finish before I cut in

''Let it be mother.'' I pleaded in anger

I heard mom release a soft sigh before she went back to what she was doing.

We both worked in total silence until we were done preparing the food.

''You can go out and take some rest, there is not much work here.'' I nodded my head to her words and walked out of the kitchen.

I left the house and went outside the compound, only to see that it was filled with so many people, cheering and laughing happily.

''You don't belong here.'' I whispered Sadly to myself, turned around and was about leaving, when I heard a strong, firm voice call out my name

''Oh no... not again.'' I murmured to myself as I slowly turned around.
