Can I Talk To You?
Trevor POV
Carriages are so much less convenient than cars. At least during our trip back to the Lutz castle, I didn't have to hear my sister freaking out about my driving. No matter how many years passed, cars, planes, and buses terrified her.
Of course, I liked going a smidgen over the speed limit myself. Maybe I should have slowed down or used my break when I was supposed to. Her Father complained as much as Aileen did, only he added threats to my manhood.
Well, carriages and horses were her revenge.
Aileen fell asleep with both her kids snuggling in her arms. The children really were adorable, all tiny and chubby-cheeked. If only cameras existed here, they were portrait perfect. Serene. Content despite the obnoxious, great woman cradling them.
As I observed the loving family in front of me, feeling like an outsider, I pictured my obsession beside me. Oh, yes, that girl was definitely going to be mine. Courtesy of Devon's reluctant resignation, I finally understood. And I was glad about what I saw in that dark dungeon… Hear me out!
That nightmare was sickening but gave me a ray of light for her darkness. All I had to do was convince my Cupcake I wasn't like my true love. Hence, there was no reason to fear me. The only monstrous part of me was between my legs, impatiently waiting for her.
My grand appearance should have started to prove my benevolentness… And how protective I felt towards her. My actions should also show that I didn't want my true love, only her. All she had to do was admit her desires too.
Hell, her nightmare probably turned into a wet dream after I left. A lustful one with my hands all over that sexy body and her long legs around my head. A few more hours, and I'll make it a reality.
The carriage hit a large rock, and all of us bounced. Am I forbidden from being horny? Any other curse, please God!
Aileen and baby Kalum fell right back to sleep. Shion's eyes snapped open as if we were under attack. His little hand wrapped around the stick he just had to bring with him. Wind swirled around the wooden weapon.
Pride shot through me. Sure the wind was small and wispy, but he wasn't losing control! If this was just a twig of a parent's jubilant feelings for their child, I could only imagine when I had my own.
"Shion, everything is fine. Put the stick down before you stab out your eye."
While Shion was prepared to fight for his baby brother had stretched himself over their Mom. Shion got a pouty face and looked up at me. "I don't like sleeping alone… that bad man shows up..."
Forgetting my obsession, for the time being, I focused on the sweet demon who needed me.
"Hop up; I'm much cuddlier than your grumpy Mom anyway."
"Yup." Shion beamed with a toothy grin.
Oh, would I be gloating when they all wake back up! Her own children know who the superior body is, and I don't even have pillows on my chest like her!
Little Shion curled up in my arm. This time, I let sleep take me.
.
We woke up to guards clanking around the carriage, verifying our identity. In front of us, we could see the grand castle. Statues of the last three Kings stood tall and proud to our right. I recognized the looming figure of Aileen's Father wielding a sword above his head. Little rubies along the tip of his blade twinkled in the morning sun, the blood of his enemies when he reclaimed his throne. A story Aileen boasted to her children about many times.
The carriage lurched forward, taking us to the castle's back entrance, a demand made by my sister. These doors were used mainly by servants and merchants bringing food/supplies. Not a place the highborn or royalty typically grace with their presence.
Aileen said she had enough stress on her shoulders without the country's citizens all swarming her. So this was her solution.
On the other hand, I would have preferred to be adored by my fans. Girls rushing me, only kept at bay by armed guards. A true hero's welcome I more than deserved.
"Trevor, I'm heading with the kids straight to my Father and meeting with Princess Lydia. Figure I might as well give him the bad news he has to go another few days without his Queen. She's still fecking flaming like hellfire." She ran a hand through diamond-adorned black hair. "Don't be too long. I know you're about to harass that girl."
Okay, good, she didn't know about my little visit last night yet. It wouldn't be long before her dear husband blabbed on my fine ass.
"If she says no, that's it…I hate Lydia's amoral family, but she is a looker. You mentioned wanting to get a princess under your belt, right? Get her. Don't make me see him when I look at you."
She ruffled my hair, knowing unlike her, I pride myself on being well-groomed. With a cocky voice, she added, "or we'll relive some of our childhood 'negotiations.'"
Her pregnancy must have fried half her remaining brain cells. I rolled my eyes. "And who kicked the others a- er butt in our many fights?"
Her kid's ears must have perked up. Almost in unison, they asked, "You two used to fight? So why do we get in trouble!?"
"That's my cue to leave. Love y'all. Mommy can answer all your combat-related inquiries, little men! Adios!"
Getting myself out of that situation, I sprinted inside the castle. Maids scurried away, wishing not to be trampled. Sorry ladies, it was vital to my survival to escape my enraged sister.
After my madman dash, I started looking around. I had no idea where I had run off to, but Aileen wasn't chasing. I was safe enough.
Wonderous aromas of bread, eggs, and potatoes filled the air here. In front of me were maids hustling about. Did they run around like wild turkeys every morning? Even the demons were on edge.
My fingers gripped the edge of the wall tightly. I was sure my knuckles were turning white. A petite blonde girl was swaying back and forth, talking about someone she clearly admired. As cute as she was, my focus was on the girl next to her. A beautiful girl with a sexy figure and chestnut hair pulled back into a messy bun. My heart hammered a nervous rhythm.
Turn around, please!
She was torturing me! The girl turned ever so slowly to speak more to her friend. I didn't hear any of their conversation. No, I was staring at the prettiest, sparkling blue eyes I could never forget. This was the first time I had seen her without trembling or sweating. Her gorgeous long legs were steady under her long plain green dress. Her face was so carefree and happy. She had me by the balls, and I hadn't even spoken to her.
I closed my eyes, waiting for the right words to pop into my head. Never been an issue before. First time for everything, I supposed. While I was thinking, her friend mentioned me returning to Lutz. Perfect!
I waited somewhat impatiently for a reply that never came. My girl was speechless! This was good; she had the evidence I was not evil, she was in a good mood, and I had the perfect plan. Okay, just get it started. Give her a smooth, silky opening line sure to drop any maiden's undergarments.
"Your savior is back, Cupcake!" I yelled in a cheery voice, letting everyone hear me proudly.
Yes, I know. Lamest sequence of words I could have uttered aloud. But I didn't care. With how mesmerized I was, I'm just glad words came out!
At the sound of my voice, she began shaking again. My feet became glued to the concrete floor. Why? Why did she have to fear me! Even after last night, she wouldn't give me a chance?! I am not that bitch Diana!
The girl I had initially seen held my Cupcake. She should have been leaning into my strong arms. I should be the one taking care of her. Instead, I was the one causing her to hyperventilate.
Calm down; getting angry and letting your possessiveness obviously isn't helping.
I put my hands behind my back and carefully approached the pair of friends at a measured pace.
"Sir Trevor… I'm sorry if we insulted you!" The girl hurried to apologize, head bowed. The only word I really heard was Natalie. Finally, I had my Cupcake's name.
I decided to test the name from my mouth. "Natalie."
How did a simple name make me hard? The fuck! Already I could hear myself groaning her name as her legs wrapped around my hips.
"Natalie, my sweet cupcake…" Since when do I have to hunt for words! I sounded like a freaking idiot! Only she could do this to me. "Can I… talk to you?"
I waited with a heavy heart for her to refuse me again. The way she held herself, she wasn't going to give me a chance. It was her loss. Guess a treasure to women like me wasn't ready to settle down yet.
Her cute pink lips formed the words. Here it came.
"Sure." She glanced at her friend, "not here."
Wait what? Yes, Yes YES!!! If I wasn't convinced it would scare her, I would pick her up and spin my Cupcake around and around until we were both dizzy.
Three words were all it took to make my whole day shine brighter than the sun!
"I've got just the place! If it makes you more comfortable, I'll even let someone tie my hands behind my back!"
Unfortunately, she did not crack a smile at my joke. Natalie finished her batter and gave some instructions on how long to let it stay in the oven.
"Let's go."
Natalie was starting to see me rather than my horrendous other half. I could almost kiss Devon for this.
"I should probably escort you properly." I pressed my luck. It was a miracle she'd agreed to walk with me. I was about to curse myself out when she surprised the heck out of me again.
She fought past her apparent fear and reached her hand out for me. Sparks flooded my senses when I gently held her arm. God truly loved me today. At least I had a single star of hope poking out from the dark abyss my true love threw my reputation into.
As I led her away, I kept stealing glimpses of her face. She had no idea that I couldn't take my eyes off her. Natalie was focused entirely on where I was leading her. I zeroed in on her kissable little mouth. My smart, sweet Cupcake was so close to me. How was I to concentrate on anything else?
Natalie chewed on her bottom lip, enticing me. The tension coming off her was almost palpable. So she can feel the sexual energy between us too. Her fear was just a relapse from before the dream. Had to be, right?
Oh yes, today I was finally going to taste those delicious, alluring lips! Just a little bit further, we'd finally be all alone, secluded in our private paradise. Where no one could interrupt us.
