Chapter 6

“Tell me, who is Damon?" Donald didn't look pleased at all as he spoke.

“What? What are you saying?" Gloria tried to play dumb.

“You said that name Damon just now. So who is he?"

“What? Isn't that your name?"

“No, my name is Donald. I ain't no Damon," he replied.

“I am sorry, I thought that was your name. Please don't be offended." Gloria lied and Donald signed.

“It's alright."

“Can we please continue?" Gloria said and a naughty smile formed on Donald's face.

“Of course," he said, then laid on top of her but Gloria stopped him.

“Wait, I want to suck your dick." She said and he grinned.

“No problem at all."

He lay down, back flat on the bed and Gloria knelt on the bed by the side of his legs.

She took hold of his hard and long, thick member and started stroking it before she swallowed it inside her mouth.

“Ahh.." he let out a pleasurable groan.

Gloria kept on sucking and stroking his dick but in her mind she was imagining him to be Damon.

“You ain't from this part, are you?" Tristan asked.

“What is it to you?" Damon said with his eyes buried in the glass of wine in front of him.

“Nothing.. just that your face doesn't look familiar." Tristan replied and Damon lifted his head up.

“So are you trying to say you know everyone's face in this town?" Damon said with a slight rise of the eye brow.

“Yes, everyone that matters. If you know what I mean."

Tristan replied with a soft smile.

“Good for you then." Damon said before taking a drink.

“So tell us, are you here to stay or are you just visiting?" Gabriel asked.

“That's no business of yours." Damon said, his words sounding a bit harsh in the ears but he cares not.

“Oh what's with the hostility, I thought we were friends?" Tristan said.

“I never remember saying we were." Damon's words came out cold leaving the vampire friends speechless, temporarily.

“Thanks for the drink, I will be taking my leave now." Damon stood up.

The half naked ladies who had been rubbing their hands all over Damon's body all this while tried convincing him to stay.

“Please stay a bit longer, handsome." One of them said, holding on to Damon's hand.

“Please stay with us, we will make your night unforgettable. I promise," the other said in a very seductive manner, licking her lower lips.

Damon paid no attention to them, he just walked away and the girls weren't strong enough to keep him from leaving...

Once Damon had left the bar.

“He is trouble," Tristan said with a worried look.

“How much trouble can he be? He is just one man."

Gabriel said. Clearly he isn't as worried like his friend Tristan was, which is probably down to the fact he couldn't sense Damon power as his friend Tristan could.

“That's no man, dear friend. He is very far from being a man nor an ordinary beast," Tristan said and from his speech Gabriel could sense his fear.

There exists very little thing, if not none that could make his friend this worried and shaky, and Gabriel started thinking maybe he shouldn't take Damon so lightly.

“Whatever beast he is, he is still one and we know it's much easier to cut down the largest, tallest tree than to cut a field filled with grass. So don't worry too much." Gabriel said, trying to calm Tristan down and Tristan let out a soft sigh.

“But to keep your heart at ease, I will tell Edwardo to keep an eye on him."

“Better," Tristan said.

“Edwardo." Gabriel called out.

“Yes boss." Edwardo answered as he stood in front of them.

“I want you to keep an eye on that man. I want to know whatever he does and wherever he goes," Gabriel said.

“You can count on me, boss. I will never let him out of my sight," Edwardo said with a tone reflecting boldness.

“Good. You can go now," Gabriel said, dismissing him but Tristan called Edwardo's attention back.

“Edwardo."

“Yes boss."

“Follow but don't engage him unless you feel your life is at threat and that should be the last resort. It's best not to make it obvious that you are spying on him. Am I clear?"

Tristan said and it came out more like a warning for Edwardo to be mindful of how dangerous Damon is.

“Understood, boss."

Edwardo replied but it was clear by his facial expression that he didn't know what all the fuss was about the man with the long hair.

Left to him he feels it would be an easy task to monitor Damon and when it comes time for action he believes he can easily kill him as well...

Only time would tell, only time would tell.

I kept myself distracted by pressing my phone, viewing pictures, videos and people's posts on my various social media apps as my best friend Kate danced and flirted with boys. Gosh, that girl.

Anyways I can't blame her. She is very beautiful and she is a high-spirited person so I guess she enjoys being around people, especially boys. Me on my part, I try my best to avoid people, especially boys.

Not that I am an introvert or I don't like socializing. I do, just that I am very selective of the people I make friends with, which is such an irony since my best friend is the exact opposite of me.

Well they say the universe works in strange ways. I didn't choose to be her best friend. We both just connected on the first day we met and surprisingly we haven't known each other for that long, our friendship isn't even up to a year and I have already considered her my best friend.

I can never forget the day we met, that was the day I came into town to process my admission stuff and also look for suitable accommodation space since I got admitted into Lake Town's College which is located in Lake Town obviously but that's not the reason why that day was unforgettable.

That day would have been a total mess for me if not for Kate as I unknowingly left my bag that had my essential credentials and certificates including the documents containing my admission letter and also my money in the bus that brought me here since I was in a hurry to make it to the school registrar before working hours.

It was Kate who at the time I didn't know neither did she knew me alighted down from the bus to hand my bag to me, she even had to run to get to me cause I was walking really fast and I wasn't hearing her call out to me, maybe I was but I didn't know she was referring to me then cause like I said I knew no one in the town at that time and didn't expect anyone would be calling out to me.

She went through a lot of stress for a stranger not many people would do that. Very few people would do what she did that day. She was like an angel sent from above to spare my blushes and save me from what would have been a day of complete waste and now thinking of it I realized I didn't choose for her to be my best friend. We were destined by the universe to be best friends...

The choking smell of tobacco got me away from my thoughts and I took my eyes off my phone to see where that offensive smell was coming from. That's when I saw that an unusual couple had just sat close to my table, kissing and romancing each other and in their hands were two burning sticks of smoke.

”Ahem.." I coughed out slowly, trying to keep it in but I couldn't.

I really don't like the smell of smoke, any kind but I think I hate the smell of this particular one the most.

I think this is my cue to leave.

Not wasting much time I stood up and left that spot. Glancing over at my wrist as I walked.

“11:35pm," I said inwardly, a bit shocked at how late it was.

I need to start going home now but where is Kate??

I couldn't find her anymore, she was dancing with that tall guy over there that time, where has she gone to now?

I tried searching for her through the crowd of dancing people but I could hardly walk by without bumping into someone let alone see where I was going as the whole place was choked up, plus the dim lights weren't helping matters.

“Ahh," I gave out a frustrated sigh in my failed attempts to find her.

Where in God's name is this girl?

Maybe I should give her a call? Yeah I should. Why didn't I think of that since? I could have spared myself the stress of walking aimlessly.

Bringing out Kate's contact info, I dialed her number and it began to ring.
