4.The Tango

That was strange to not having just plain water and irresponsible of whomever was throwing this party, Elise thought.

“Fine, I will have two ginger ales.” they had to have that to make some of the mixed drinks. He nodded and gave them to her. Michael went to pay but the bartender wouldn’t accept it.

“All drinks are on the house. Courtesy of Mister Athan.”

Elise gave a ginger ale to Michael. “Did you see how the demons have been scattering. You must admit it is amusing.” Michael said.

“I guess.”

Michael just looked at his niece with a puzzling look.

“I mean yeah, it is funny how they freak out and just poof off. It just makes me think. I mean I know I can kill them, it's just weird; I don’t have a weapon to do so. All I can do is to send them back to hell like normal angels.”

“But they don’t know that.” Michael said with a smile.

Elise smiled at his response. He always tried to make sure she was not upset about the circumstances of her birth.

“Look kid, I am going to head out; see you back at the house. I am bored of this place. But hey try to dance or something. Why else did I spend all that time teaching you to dance among other things.”

“Alright... and fine I will dance for a few songs. That is if anyone here can even really dance instead of rubbing up on each other.”

Michael laughed. “Alright see ya kid.”

With that Michael made his way to the exit. Elise knew her Uncle would most likely to be flying home. He rarely felt the need to walk. All throughout Elise’s childhood, he would say “we have wings for a reason.” Elise just stood there for a bit drinking her ginger ale. She decided to take Michael's advice and do the dance.

She could move to anything if she wanted. It was important for a long time that everyone knew how to dance. It was strange to meet someone who could not dance. So, she made her way to the DJ and asked for a song.

As she made her way back to the floor. She sensed it. Her body became covered in goosebumps. She needed to get her cousin and the girls and go. This was bad. None other than a prince of hell had come into the courtyard.

She had never encountered one of the nine princes of hell, but she knew them. Before she could even move off the dance floor, he locked eyes on her. ‘This is not good’ Elise thought. 'Will I be able to send him back to hell like the other Archangels, or will I be tortured?’

Elise remembered what she had been told by Michael “Princes of hell can’t do anything but sending archangels back to heaven. But they can torture average angels until they go insane and there is no other option other than having your father put them down.”

And since she didn’t know exactly what he could do to her, so she was worried. The song she asked for has started to play. The people started to move off the dance floor. Most people in their twenties didn’t know how to tango. One of the men started to approach her seeing as she was on the floor alone. She had intended to dance in this song with whoever knew how to tango.

The young man grabbed her hand. They began to dance. But instead of looking at him. Her eyes remained on the prince of hell. It had not even been a minute into the dance and the prince approached the dancing couple. He cut in on one of the turns. The other man just waited and tried to cut back in. But it was clear to onlookers that the man lacked the skills to keep up with the two. He eventually moved off the dance floor. Leaving the angel and demon to dance alone.

The tango became more intense, both trying to best the other. It was erotic to the onlookers. Amanda and her friends looked on the couple from the balcony.

“Holy Crap, did you know that Elise could dance like that?” Abigal asked Amanda.

“No, I didn’t.”

Bailey chimed in. “Well, whoever she is dancing with is freaking hot.”

“Where did she learn to do that? Also why do all the men flock to her. I mean look at them.” The girls looked around the courtyard. Just like Georgia said. All the men were staring at her. They all desired her.

“I don't think it's fair that she picks the hottest guy here. Also, I don't understand what makes her so special. She always looks flawless. She always holds her liquor too well. And this pure act is ridiculous.” Georgia continued.

“Stop talking crap about my cousin.” Amandas words showed she was definitely getting tipsy. “You are just being jealous because your are drunk. Also, she deserves whoever she wants. She has never shown any interest in anyone so maybe it is just her time. As for her being pure and such that is just who she is. You wouldn’t know anything about that, would you Georgia?”

“Oh, if she is so pure why is she dancing like that.”

At that point, the girls looked down to see Elise torso pushed against the prince. With his hands running down her sides, as she slowly extended one of her legs out. The whole dance was intense. The pair seemed to not notice the onlookers. It became just the two of them. The music started to finish as did the tango.

When the dance was over, she practically ran off to find her cousin and the girls and get out of there. When she reached them. Amanda blurted out. “You have been keeping some mad skills from me.” She was intoxicated and didn’t understand how ridiculous she sounded.

“Yes, yes, I know. I can dance. But we need to go. We need to leave, it is time to go.” Elise said.

“I don’t want to go.” Bailey pouted.

“I don’t care if you don’t want to. We need to. You all are drunk and as the sober person I am telling you things are going to get messy soon and we need to leave.” Elise knew with a prince of hell being here that things were bound to get horrific.
