Chapter 4 - The Future Bride

Isabelle Orsino

"I don't think this is a good idea, you should cancel the wedding." My dad said and I turned to gramps.

"Tell me the reason." Gramps said as he ate his breakfast.

"We're rivals, we never have a good relationship with each other and besides I bet they want our money." My dad said in a cold tone.

"That's between you and Isaac, don't put me in." Gramps said.

"Did he demand anything, darling?" My mom asked.

"No, he didn't. We both have our own work and assets so why bother asking for things?" I said as I cut my avocado toast.

"Sign a prenup." My dad said.

"There's no need to sign anything." I lied.

"Ah.. you like him." My dad blurted and I looked up to him.

"Whether she likes him or not, he will be a good husband for her." Gramps said and my dad sighed.

"I like her with Elijah more, it's better for you to marry him instead of marrying Sebastian." My mom said and I decided to stay silent.

"Ms. Orsino, I'm so sorry, but you have an important phone call." Lia said and I excused myself to leave the table. I followed Lia out and she gave my work phone.

"Hello Ms. Orsino." It's my lawyer, Colleen.

"Yes, Colleen, is everything okay?" I asked as I walked towards my study room.

"Yes, Mr. Grey just signed the prenup and the divorce paper. His lawyer was present too, everything went smoothly." She said.

"That's great, meet me at my office this evening, I need you to do something for me."

"Very well, Ms. Orsino. Anything else?"

"No, I'm good. That's all." I ended the call and put my phone on my desk. I crossed my arms in front of my chest thinking about the wedding.

"Ms. Orsino, you have a fitting in 30 minutes." Lia reminded me and I nodded.

"Lia, I need you to do something for me." I said as I gestured her to come inside.

"What can I do for you, Ms. Orsino?"

"Get me an invitation to Tiffany's jewerly launching party next week." I said and she nodded.

Sebastian Grey

"You are what?! You're cr-" Michael choked on his water after I told him that I'm going to marry Isabelle Orsino.

"Are you kidding me? Please tell me that this is a joke." He said as he grabbed some tissues to wipe his mouth.

"I'm not kidding, we're getting married in 2 days. I have a rehearsal this afternoon." I said like it's nothing.

"Out of all women, you choose her?"

"Correction, out of all women, my pops chose her." I sighed.

"Did she ask for money?" Michael asked curiously and I don't blame him at all. Everyone would ask the same thing, no one will ever imagine me marrying Isabelle Orsino when our families basically rivals.

"She didn't, we signed prenup already."

"Oh." He looked at me weirdly and he leaned back to the sofa.

"What?"

"I know you don't like gossips but I heard a couple of things about her." That made me wonder what kind of gossips that people talk about her. I gestured Michael to talk.

"You know Gio right? Gio and her used to date, I think they even got engaged at one point but I heard she cheated on him with a man from London."

"That's it?"

"That woman has a lot of suitors, a lot. One of them is her bestfriend, Elijah Rixton, the guy who owns a lot of real estates."

"A lot? That's one guy, Michael." I hissed.

"You really want me to name everyone? Besides if you know, you won't care anyway. You don't love her so why butt into her love life?" He's right.

"I pray for your marriage brother, hope she won't bring a lot of man home. That would definitely give you a headache." He added and I nodded.

"No one can know about this, Michael. I will find you if there's any news about me and Isabelle."

"Don't worry, I won't tell a soul." I got up from my seat to make a coffee from the coffee maker.

"Tonight, you will come to Israel's party right?" Michael asked.

"I will come, why?"

"Good because your future bride will come too." Oh God.

Isabelle Orsino

I walked into the club to celebrate Israel's birthday. He's one of my good friends and partner in business so I have to come. I bought him his favorite wine from Italy as a birthday present.

His guards gestured me to go into the private room. Israel greeted me right away by giving me a hug.

"I thought you're going to be so late." He said as he pulled away.

"Nah, why would I?" I smiled.

"It's a full house today." He said.

"I need a drink, like a lot." I said as I looked towards the bar.

"Me too." I turned to see Elijah entering the room.

"I thought you will come late." I said as Israel walked pass me to greet his other guest.

"Let's go, there's a private room where we can go wasted." Elijah said as he put his arm around my shoulder pulling me towards the private room.

"Elijah." We both turned to see Michael and Sebastian standing side by side.

"Uhmmm can we join you?" Michael said which made me raise my eyebrows because the four of us are not friends.

"We actually have some things to talk about so.. excuse us." I said because I don't want Elijah to talk to them, not because I don't like Michael or Sebastian but Elijah is pretty annoying to strangers.

"Okay." Sebastian said and Elijah instantly pulled me towards the private room. I looked at the menu and ordered some drinks.

"Let's get wasted tonight." Elijah said as he looked at the dance floor from the window. There's a dance floor full of people right down below us.

"You can go to the dance floor and get some chicks." I said and Elijah chuckled.

"You know me so well."
