Ep.1 Beginning Of Eternity

A group of students were traveling to a hill station for a college trip. They were enjoying their time in the train chatting, playing truth and dare but in the end, they all got bored as the journey was long.

“What to do next, guys? I am getting kind of bored, there is nothing to do,” The girl said and her face dropped. “even our mobile phones has zero signal and about to dead. Damn!!”

“I think we should all sleep now to kill our time,” The other boy said.

“Nah! I don’t want to sleep.” The other girl said. The group of five college students were bored as hell, and there wasn’t even an ounce of sleep in their eyes.

“Would you guys like to hear a story?”

All five heads snapped in the direction of the voice and they found an eighty-year-old ascetic in saffron-colored clothes, his eyes were grey, and disheveled shoulder-length hair was as white as snow. He was curled up like a ball, sitting in the corner of the seat to save himself from the chilly temperature.

“Story? What kind of story??” The girl asked politely.

“A real love story!” The ascetic replied.

“Wow! We would love to hear, right guys?” The girl said, her voice laced with excitement.

“Yup! We all are in for a good story,” The group agreed in unison.

“Please start the story!!” The girl smiled at the ascetic. “But before that wrap this around yourself, you are shivering.” The girl offered a blanket to the ascetic. “Now start!”

On the glittering sunny Monday morning outside the glorious temple of Lord Shiva, Meera was about to take the first panipuri (Indian spicy fast food) in her mouth when a hand snatched panipuri and panipuri plate from her grip.

“What are you doing?” Aahil asked in a stern tone.

“What the hell are you doing, Aahil?” Meera yelled at him, “I have told you so many times not to trouble me when I am eating my panipuri, give my plate back.” She screeched while saying the last part and extended her palm in his direction.

“You can’t eat this,” Aahil said, and ate panipuri from the plate.

“Ahhh… it’s so spicy!” Aahil said and Meera looked at him, fuming in anger.

“And who said that I can’t eat and WHY ARE YOU EATING MY PANIPURI?” Meera yelled again at Aahil, crossing her arms across chest.

“Will you stop yelling and listen to me for once?” Aahil asked, staring at her.

“What? Tell me!!” Meera exclaimed loudly, throwing dagger in his direction.

“There are three reasons. First: This is the roadside stall, it’s unhygienic and…” Before Aahil could complete his reasons, Meera interrupted him.

“Tell me something I don’t know already.” She said, rolling her eyes.

“Shut up and second is that you can’t eat this so I have to finish this, you know how much I hate wasting food, and the third reason is the most important one,” He said taking another panipuri in his mouth, and Meera slapped his arm.

“What is it?” Meera asked, knitting her eyebrows.

“It’s your fast today, you can’t eat anything,” Aahil replied with an amusing face.

“OH MY GOD!!! I was about to break my fast,” Meera said and covered her mouth after realizing the blunder she was about to make.

“Yeah, you were, and tell me something. How can a person forget about their fast right after coming out of the temple?” Aahil asked while throwing the paper plate in the dustbin, and paying money to the panipuri vendor.

“This is not my fault, it’s his fault,” Meera said, pointing her index finger at the panipuri vendor, and the vendor looked at Meera, narrowing his eyes.

“No brother, I tried to stop her, like I do on every Monday but today she didn’t listen to me, and even threatened me to give panipuri and also asked to me to make it spicy.” The panipuri seller complained to Aahil and Meera looked at him like she was ready to kill him.

“This market is so big, but you still keep your stall right outside the temple, you know what, If my fast would have broken today, then you would be a sinner,” Meera said and walked away from there, with Aahil trailing behind her.

“What happens to you when you see panipuri stalls? You eat like there is no tomorrow. Why can’t you control your tongue? Last time you ate forty panipuris in a row after that, you ended up vomiting and stomach ache for complete two days, still today you were going to eat that again and if someone tries to stop you, then he is your biggest enemy.” Aahil said, and Meera stopped in her track.

“Why didn’t you come to the temple today?” Meera turned around and asked him.

“I was about to come inside but then you came outside, and when I crossed the road to approach you I saw your eyes aiming at panipuris, and you went to order,” Aahil said and Meera rolled her eyes on his remark.

“Will you drop this panipuri topic? I am hungry and this topic isn’t helping me at all!!” Meera said in a frustrated tone and opened the passenger door of Aahil’s royal blue car, and Aahil shook his head left and right with an amused face. Meera huffed in annoyance, sitting inside on the passenger seat, and closed the door with a loud thud.

“Can I ask you something?” Aahil asked, sitting next to her in the driver’s seat.

“Yep, but it should not be related to food or panipuri,” Meera said, brushing her long curtain straight black hair.

“Well, if someday, you have to choose between me or panipuri, then who will you choose?” Aahil asked, buckling his seat belt.

“Of course, panipuri, what kind of question is this?” Meera answered and started laughing loudly.

“I knew it. Well, no problem, you can leave me anytime you want. I can date Alina, Priya, Rubina, or any other girl from our college. You know, I am quite popular in girls,” Aahil said and started the engine of his car. But before he could start driving, Meera gripped the collar of his T-shirt and pulled him towards herself.

“Listen Mr., you may be very handsome with this six feet height, six-pack abs, dark brown eyes, and this charming face but if you ever, and I mean, ever try to lay your eyes on someone else, I promise I will kill you and then I will kill myself. You are mine, never forget that.” Meera said, staring into his eyes without blinking, and then left his collar.

Aahil started laughing loudly, witnessing her possessiveness “I didn’t know that you are so possessive.” He said, looking at her.

“Shut up and drive, and don’t you dare open your mouth again, we are getting late for college,” Meera said in a high pitch and looked outside the window while Aahil started driving.

After a few minutes of complete silence in the car, “Oh, baby, are you angry now? You remember how you praised that actor Vicky Kaushal from Uri movie and I was so jealous, You can like someone but I can’t like someone because you don’t like it,” Aahil said while driving and Meera turned her head in his direction.

“I told you that day, too, there is a difference between love and like, I might like that hero or any other person but I love you, and one more thing, liking can change time to time, but love can never change,” Meera said and she noticed from the corner of her eyes, that Aahil smiled at her comment.

“Wow!! Such a lovely childish banter, they look so much in love. What happened after that?” The girl asked the ascetic and he passed a charming smile.
