As Cockily As Ever

Gold left the Macos group of companies with a broken heart.

Another interview was a flop.

She hid the tears that were threatening to fall.

"I really have an unfortunate fate, this is the fourth interview this month," she murmured sadly as she exited, staring at the company.

She looked down at the shoes she was wearing, the only ones she had; the base was about to fall off and the body was starting to peel.

"What am I going to do now that Austin is also unemployed?" She inquired.

She took a look at her phone, and the screen was crushed.

Except for a few visible sections, she couldn't see the screen well enough to make a phone call.

She dialed Austin's number, and he answered after the second ring.

"Austin "She sobbed.

"Hey...why are you sobbing, don't tell me about the interview," he said.

"Exactly, the interview, they said I'm not capable, why does bad luck follow me everywhere?" she questioned, wiping the tears from her eyes.

"Don't say that again, you're not unlucky, just calm down, and where exactly are you?" ".

"In front of the organization." "She responded.

"I'll come to get you; just wait for me there, okay?""

"OK, I'll wait." "She replied.

She hung up the phone and walked away from the company, wiping away her tears.

She stood peering at the road, hoping to see Austin.

Thirty minutes had passed with no sign of him.

Fourty minutes, fifty... still no sign of him, and her legs begin to hurt from the prolonged standing.

He appeared just as she was going to dial his phone again.

"Austin!" she yelled.

"I'm sorry, darling, something got a hold of me, I'm so sorry," he cried as he hugged her.

"What should I do?"

I don't even have any money anymore, and my caretaker will soon arrive with her problems " She stated "I actually have an offer, but I'm not sure whether you can accept it."

"I actually have an offer, but I'm not sure whether you can accept it."

What offer? Gold asked

"Can you work as a dishwasher in a restaurant?" ". “Dishwasher?”

"Yes, two dollars every day." "He responded.

"Austin, you know it's pointless," she added.

"I understand, but it's still preferable to sitting at home doing nothing; after a week, you'll earn fourteen bucks."

"Perhaps I'll give it a shot." "She said, her smile returning.

It's preferable "he said

"Are you sure, Austin?"

“What?"

"I just adore you very much, even if I have nobody, having you with me will mean a lot," she explained.

"I'm not going anywhere, and I adore you." "He responded.

She embraced him once again, and he nonchalantly asked, "Can we go now?" He inquired.

"Absolutely," she said.

He got into a cab with him, and they both drove away...

Park Empire

Wilson and Michael had barely left the conference room when they noticed Michael lighting a cigarette.

Wilson hissed angrily.

"Smokers are more likely to die young," he stated.

"I don't care, life is short anyway," Michael joked as he entered his office, puffing on his cigarette.

Wilson sighed and walked into his office.

Cynthia yelled out from behind him, sprinting after him, "Boss."

He came to a sudden halt, and her knees collided, she staggered and knocked against him, and her lipstick smeared his suit.

"I'm sorry, boss!, I'm sorry!" she exclaimed hurriedly. She immediately apologized.

Michael glared angrily at her, then returned his gaze to his soiled suit.

"Are you blinded or what? Is it because I'm too attractive? , My beauty must be blinding, which is why you knowingly ran into me, right? , Your foul lips are staining me "He stated tactfully.

Cynthia bent her head.

"I'm talking about you!" He yelled.

"Do you know how much the suit you just ruined is worth?" It's worth $1,000, but you opted to...oh God "he muttered, grabbing his brow...

"I sincerely apologize, Sir."" Cynthia stated once again.

"I don't sack; I just award penances, and your penance is that for the next three weeks, you must appear at work early in the morning and depart at six o'clock at night.

Failure to do so results in a salary deduction "he said as he removed his suit.

He hurled it at her before walking away.

Cynthia picked up the suit and glanced at it.

"It'll wash out with a gentle wash, why am I suffering in here?" She inquired.

She carried the suit to her desk and sat down, glancing at the files.

She really wanted to inform him it needed his signature, but she ended up getting fined after accidentally crashing into him.

She prepared herself and took the paperwork, then entered his office and saw him sitting as cockily as ever in his chair.

He looked sexy in just his white shirt, but she's not one of those females that falls for him, but she does like his good looks.

"Yes?" He said, his brow furrowed.

"Sir, the files require your signature," she continued with her breath held.

He's like a time bomb; no one knows when he'll go off.

"Bring them here," he said.

She approached his table with caution and kept them in front of him.
