Raven of The Sky – Part ll

Onyx returned to work after they took off. He had travelled to Hawaii for an important meeting and had planned to stay for about a week, but his plans were shattered when he learned that his Grandfather was gravely ill. He had a lot of work to do and only a limited amount of time. For him, family was just as important as work, and because of leaving these meetings his company might face a huge loss, he couldn't possibly stay there without seeing his grandfather.

As he typed, those slate blue eyes flashed through his mind.

“Lilian?” he called his secretary's name and she looked up from the file she was holding.

"Yes, boss?"

"Where is Sage?" He inquired about the previous pilot, but he was more interested in that woman. But he didn't think it was appropriate to inquire about her directly.

"Captain Sage called in sick this morning, so Delta Airlines sent Captain Ophelia in his place. They had sent me an email this morning." He raised his brows as she informed him. "Is she any good?" He inquired,

"From what I've seen, she's a better pilot than Sage and far more professional than he is." She rolled her eyes at the end. "How do you know that?" He furrowed his brow.

"Last year, she was assigned to fly your mother to Greece. And I had accompanied your mother in that trip." He nodded as she informed him. Through the corner of his eyes, he saw his two bodyguards nodding as well. "What is it that you two are nodding about?" He asked, his eyes narrowing, and they stiffened. "We had also accompanied Miss Smith on that trip, boss." In a rough voice, one of the bodyguards said.

"Looks like you all met her except for me. So, call her in and tell her I'd like to see her." He leaned back, continuing to work on his laptop. A flight attendant was summoned, and soon the thumps of a boot hitting the floor drew his attention.

"You wanted to see me, Mr. Reighs," her soothing yet stern and formal voice reached his ears, and he looked up. His breath in his throat as he couldn't help but let his gaze freely scan her being. She had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Her waist was tapered, and she had a light burnished complexion. A pair of arched brows looked down on a sweep of lashes. Her delicate ears framed a button nose. Her moon shadow-black hair was tied back into a neat bun tucked behind her cap, and her alluring, constellation-slate blue eyes narrowed at him over her puffy, heart-shaped lips. He wanted a taste, he wanted a taste of what she could offer. She was standing a few feet away from where he sat.

"Yes, I was curious as to who was flying my bird." He sat up straight and placed the laptop on the table in front of him.

"Identify yourself." He couldn't think of anything else as he was at a loss for words. "Captain Ophelia Jade, sir," she responded, raising her brows.

"What makes you believe you're qualified to fly my jet?" He asked curtly. He felt like smacking himself as the question came out rather rude and arrogant.

"I'm qualified enough," he watched her gaze harden, "Otherwise they wouldn't have taken me out of leave and asked to fly you to Berlin, sir." She said it emphasizing ‘sir’, and with a hint of despondency. He'd caught up on her disdain in her remarks, and he knew he'd offended her. She didn't appear to be the type of person who would let someone go even if they had been disrespectful to her. And on the very first meeting, his word was disrespectful.

"If this was it, I would very much like to return..." her words were cut short as the jet rocked violently, throwing her off her feet towards in front where Onyx Reighs was seated.

The plane went through turbulence, she whatsoever had nothing to hold for support she was thrown straight into his lap. Both of their eyes widened in shock as the contact of their bodies had their desires sizzle awake, and his hand held her waist firmly as the jet passed through another torrent of turbulence. While with his other hand, he struggled to keep his body steady on the seat. She groaned, struggling to keep her balance, her palms unconsciously grasping his neck for dear life. Her breasts pressed against his chest as the sandalwood perfume she was wearing infiltrated his nostrils. He groaned as the need to have her only grew. It was a pleasant and soothing scent that temporarily distracted him from the tumult. He had no idea that the feeling of someone’s flesh on his and the scent of someone’s perfume would get him so excited. He was jolted out of his reverie as she coughed, clearing her throat in an attempt to get his attention.

"I need to get to my flight deck, Mr. Reighs," she said quietly. "Of course, no one is holding you captive here," He responded. "Someone, it appears, is. You!" She said sternly as he noticed the light crimson hue on her cheeks and his brows frowned, "Me?" He asked, finally noticing his firm grip on her waist and all six pairs of eyes of his secretary and bodyguard and the flight attendants on them.

He cleared his throat as he hurriedly released her, and she scrambled out of his lap. He saw her eyeing him and clutching her jaw, her lower lip was pulled in between her teeth and her breath was ragged, she turned around and left. He stared at her bewildered until he discovered the source of her crimson cheeks. Sighing in irritation, he hurriedly picked up the laptop that had fallen on the floor and placed it on his lap. He felt a slight heat reaching his face and ears, all of this was very embarrassing. He acted as though he had no control over his body or mind. She was making his mind and body work against his will, and if this was the case on their first meeting, he could only think what would happen in the future.
