Chapter five

"Are you done with it?" Kelly asked over the phone.

Amelia nodded trying to catch her breath. "Yeah. I just submitted it."

"Well, start coming right away."

"What?" Amelia breathe out looking frustrated.

"I need you to do something for me right away, so come to our meeting spot in two minutes. Right now." Kelly ordered hanging the call up.

Fastening her pace, Amelia decided to run instead. If she walked, she won't get there in two minutes, and she doesn't want Kelly's problem, especially since Kelly is holding her by the neck.

She felt a breeze as she ran through the hallway, and immediately held her hoodie in place, but then she hit something making her yelp, and land on her butt.

She looked up, and saw a tall handsome looking guy. He was staring at her like he wanted to use his eyes to cut her open.

She looked away, and slowly stood up from the ground feeling nervous as usual.

"I..I'm sorry." She apologized, her face lowered.

Finn took her left hand seeing blood on it, but Amelia jerked her hand away. "It's fine. It's nothing."

"But it's not. It should be taken care of." His deep voice kinda sent shivers down her spine.

Amelia looked up at him hesitantly, and back on the floor. "It's minor. I should leave."

As she was about to walk past, Finn held her hand, stopping her on her tracks. They both turned, and faced each other. Amelia was just confused wondering what the man wants from her.

"I insist. I was the one who made you fall." Finn pressured.

Amelia shook her head. "But I was the one not looking. It's my fault, and I'm sorry, but I've gotta go."

"Do you have a lecture right now?"

Amelia shook her head. "I just..."

"Then let's stitch that up. Come on." He took her other hand wanting to take her with him, but Amelia pushed his grasp with her other hand away causing him to be confused.

"I..I'm sorry, but I've got somewhere to be." And then she ran off.

Finn was amused by her, and the fact that he got rejected....by a girl. He chuckled, a smile on his face.

"What was that? Another girl you wanna shatter?"

Finn turned his gaze away from Amelia, and at the girl who spoke. "And how is that your business?"

"It just seems you're getting tired of strong, beautiful girls, and now going for fragile ones."

"Do you know who she is?" Finn asked the girl.

The girl scoffed with a frown on her face. "Even if I do, I wouldn't tell you."

Finn tilted his head at the girl, and how rudely she spoke, but for some reason he wasn't affected.

"Do i know you?" He decided to ask since she was talking like they knew each other.

The girl scowled, raised her hand in attempt to slap Finn in the face in anger, but Finn saw it coming, and gripped her hand tight. "What were you just about to do?"

The girl breaths began to come out shaky at the hard grip.

"How dare you?" Finn angrily uttered.

The grip was getting tighter causing the girl to begin getting scared. "I...I should be asking you that. After all our times together, you don't even recognize me?"

Finn arched an eyebrow, his face grimaced. "Time together, ah?" He chuckled darkly. "You should even be lucky." He threw her hand away causing a crack, and a frown from the girl at the pain she felt.

She glared at Finn, her face contorted, her hand clutched to her side. "You're a devil, Finn."

"Mr. Wilde." He corrected. "And besides, if I did have something to do with you, then you're the one who threw yourself on me."

The girl swallowed, pain and regret evident in her expression. He was deadly handsome, and it pained her she was among those who had her heart broken by him. She thought she'd be different. Every girl thought they'd be different, but in his eyes, no one is special.

Finn turned away from her, his mind once again was engulfed into thoughts about the weird girl he met. Her face isn't even visible, and she's so small, so fragile, and...hurt.

He didn't even know when he started walking. Just thinking about the fact that he saw blood in her small hand anguished him.

But how is she the one for him? Why can't he control himself from walking further to see her, and know who she is? He felt spelled by her. He felt controlled, and it was a feeling he has never had. Responsibility.

Kelly placed a small slap on Amelia's face, giving it a hard push to the side. "Was this what I wanted? Did I ask for cheese on my pizza?"

Amelia lowered her head. "I was...I was confused, and I forgot."

Kelly knocked her head, and swayed it backwards. "You're so stupid. Why? Do you need a list for what you need to buy so you don't forget? Are you a child?"

Amelia kept shtum.

"Well you're going to order another one. It seems like you always have money to spend no matter what we want you to get for us. Are you rich?"

Amelia shook her head deciding to lie. "I'm not."

"You're not? But you spend a lot for one day."

"It's because I don't have a choice. You guys bill me too much, and one day..." She glanced at her. "One day I might run out of everything."

Kelly chuckled. "You better not, cause you're our credit card."

Jennifer bumped Kelly on the shoulder earning a frown from her. "Can't you see I'm busy?"

"Look at that guy." She informed, her eyes melted on the sight.

Kelly turned, and looked. Her eyes immediately widened as she saw the guy she's been searching for. She stood up in awe, he was glorious.

"Uh, do you guys notice he's walking towards us?" Fiona asked, standing up.

Kelly nodded already hypnotized by the man. "I bet he's coming to see me. He can't take his eyes off me."

Finn arrived, his eyes on the weird girl. She just sat there, her face facing the floor, and what he saw was enough to know she was being bullied.

He looked at the girl staring at her, and adjusting herself. "Hi."

Kelly gaped. "H..hi."

Finn nodded. "What's her name?" He went straight to the point, pointing at Amelia.

Although confused, she looked at Amelia and how she was, and back at the guy. "Someone you shouldn't bother yourself with."

"What's her name?" Finn repeated, looking at the other girls.

"A..Amelia. Amelia West." Fiona answered him.

Finn kept shtum like he was trying to sink in the name. "Mia."

Amelia looked up at him in surprise at his choice of abbreviating her name. No one ever called her Mia, except Lia, or even Mel. The only place she has ever heard someone call her Mia was her dream world. A dream that was never clear, but the voice...the voice sounded like it.

Finn noticed the name got her attention, and then he smiled at her. "You like it?"

"I...I know you." Amelia recognized

Kelly and her cohorts were confused. They couldn't decipher what was going on.

"Take my hand." Finn brought his hand out.

Amelia looked at it in confusion. "Why?"

Finn looked at Kelly, and the other girls. "I saw what they were doing to you, I could help you."

Amelia wasn't understanding the offer, or why he was offering. Why does he even care?

"Uh, um, Mr.... I don't know your name, handsome boy.." Kelly paused sliding her hand on his black coat, and making him look at her. "You got it all wrong. We're all friends here, but she did something wrong."

Finn looked at Mia. "I know she's lying, Mia. Come with me, I don't bite."

Amelia swallowed, and immediately lowered her eyes wondering what's going on. The guy looked mysterious, and was stupid to think she'll just walk with him. It'll be like jumping from frypan to fire. She can't risk that.

"See? She doesn't wanna go." Kelly told him. "I'm right."

Finn was getting pretty annoyed by her rejection. It was no longer baffling. He was beginning to hate it, but made him got more interested.

"Handsome boy...." Kelly said sluttingly.

Finn looked at her with furrowed brows. "Do I look like a boy?"

Kelly blinked seeing he definitely was a man. Something that got her thinking of how possible someone like him is still in school. He's so handsome, and manly enough to know he doesn't belong in school, but then he's in his final year, so it makes sense. "My bad, handsome man."

Finn looked back at Amelia who just sat like she wasn't of this world, and then back at Kelly. "Be careful who you touch, or maltreat, or it might come to bite you later on."

Then he walked away leaving a frown of confusion on Kelly's face.

"What was that?" Jennifer asked.

Kelly looked at Amelia. "Do you know him?"

Amelia shook her head in denial. "I don't."

"It seems he wants to get close to her." Fiona stated the obvious.

"That shouldn't happen, but maybe it should." Kelly said, a smile formed on her lips.

"What are you insinuating?" Jennifer asked.

"You're gonna get close to him for me, Amelia."

Amelia looked at Kelly, shocked at the words. "No." She bluntly said. "I've done everything you guys wanted, but this I won't do."

Kelly laughed. "Wow. Look at you fighting back." She began flaunting her phone. "Have you forgotten?"

But before she knew it, someone behind them snatched her phone away from her, and walked to their front.

Angry at a point, Kelly gaped to see it was the president. Richard Hart. "No wonder. You guys have something against her."

Kelly blinked. "Uh, um, please can you...can you give me back my phone?"

Richard shook his head, and looked at Amelia who was looking at him confused and at Kelly. "What you have against her, I'll find out." He looked back at Amelia. "It's best you come with me."

Amelia wanted to cry in that spot already feeling like she was a chess game. She couldn't believe she's about to move from Kelly to someone she doesn't know.

"Come on, get up."

Amelia slowly stood up, gave Kelly all her things, and followed Richard as he walked.

"What the hell just happened?" Fiona asked.

"Did we just lose Amelia?" Jennifer asked.

Kelly looked at them. "We just did."
