Therapy Sessions

Alex hugged his mother tightly as he cried, she sighed and tried consoling him.

"Mummy, dad hates me so much."

"No he doesn't dear, your dad doesn't hate you."

"Yes, he does, put me down." He yelled and hit his mum, she put him down and he cried, he held his hair and cried. The maids in the house watched secretly as his mum hugged him.

"Don't touch me, you also hate me." He yelled and pushed her with his tiny hands.

"No Alex, I don't, we don't hate you. We love you."

"You guys don't care about me, I hate you all." He yelled and ran upstairs, he rushed into his room and slammed the door. His mum sighed as tears fell from her eyes, the pain of seeing him go through all that was breaking her heart.

Claire, the head maid who had been with them for so many years rushed to her and hugged her tightly.

"Oh dear, everything is going to be okay."

LATER IN THE DAY

Alex smiled happily as he played the ball with Emily in the backyard, the bodyguards were all around them protecting them from getting hurt.

Earlier in the day, Emily returned from school and met her mother in tears, her mother explained everything that happened to her and she decided to talk to Alex.

She had always loved Alex ever since he was born, she was so happy when he came to life because she didn't want to be the only child. No matter how sad Alex was, Emily will always stay with him and play with him.

"Yay, that's my boy," Emily yelled happily had he giggled.

"Sir and ma'am, your mum told me to call you in, it's time for dinner." A maid said and bowed.

"Okay, come on Alex, let's go in."

"No Emily, I don't want to go in, please play with me a little bit more."

"Alex, we have been playing since I got back from school, let's go in and have dinner."

"Please Emily, just a little bit more." He begged and she held his hands

"Am exhausted, I promise to play with you tomorrow."

"No, I want you to play with me now."

"Well, I can't."

"I hate you." He suddenly yelled and pushed Emily roughly which made everyone flinch, the bodyguards rushed to her while the maid rushed in to call their parents."

"Alex, what is wrong with you?" Emily asked and rushed to him but he pushed her again.

"You don't care about me, you won't even play with me, I hate you, I hate you all." He yelled and his parents rushed out of the house.

"Alex." His mum called and was about to run to him but he moved back.

"No, don't come near me, you all don't care about me, you all hate me cause am different and I hate you too, am running away!" He yelled and took to his heels and ran out of the mansion through the back door.

"Go after him." His mum screamed at the guards and they rushed out, she sighed as tears clouded her eyes and rushed to Emily.

"Are you okay?" She asked checking her body to see if she was hurt.

"Am fine mum, is Alex okay?" She asked looking worried and her mum smiled before hugging her.

"Yes baby, he will be fine."

"Emily, go in and have dinner, we will go look for your brother." Their dad said and she nodded before walking into the house with a maid.

"Charlie, what is wrong with Alex?" His wife asked in tears and he sighed before hugging her.

"Honestly I have no idea." He replied and she cried.

"Did you see the way he looked like? He looked so scared and in pain, what the hell is wrong with him?" She cried.

"It's okay, everything will be fine."

She nodded and pulled away from the hug.

"How about we go see a therapist tomorrow?" She asked and he smiled.

"That's a good idea, let him get home first."

"Good afternoon." The therapist greeted Alex with a smile and he smiled back.

"Afternoon ma'am." He replied and his mum smiled holding his hand.

They talked to him last night when the bodyguards found him, they told him about going to see a therapist which he agreed, he had no idea who a therapist is but his parents told him a therapist will make him feel better and help him which he agreed to go as long as his mum goes with him and helps him feel better.

"What's your name?"

"My name is Alex McCall."

"Good to have you here Mr. McCall."

"Thank you, ma'am."

"You are welcome, so tell me, Alex. How are you feeling today?"

"I feel good but a little bit nervous."

"Can you tell me why you feel a bit nervous?"

"I don't know why, am just scared and worried."

"Okay then, how about I teach you something?"

Alex sat in class with an exam script in his presence, he knows what to write but at the same time he had no idea why he wasn't writing."

"Take a deep breath." He muttered and breathed in and out. He repeated the process the therapist taught him but started getting frustrated when it wasn't working.

"It's not working." He yelled and pushed his desk down, everyone flinched and his teacher rushed to him.

"Alex, what is the problem?" She asked as he panted.

"It's not working, I hate my freaking life." He yelled and ran out of the class, his teacher sighed and dialed his mum's number.

Alex walked into the house with his mum and his dad sighed.

"Again? What happened again?" His father yelled and he hid behind his mother.

"Charlie please, don't let him cry, I did a lot of work to calm him down, please don't start."

"What? He is five years old, he is not a kid anymore, stop accepting this behavior from him."

"Look, am trying okay? Am trying my best. Do you think it is easy? Every morning he doesn't want to go to school and I manage to get him out of bed, he has missed up to twenty days in school but I keep trying my best for him and what do you do? You dress up in fancy suits and go to work every day while I stay here just to make sure he is okay and all you do is put the blame on me?" She yelled in tears and Charlie sighed.

"What the hell is his problem? Raising Emily wasn't this hard, it wasn't even hard at all." He scoffed and Alex flared up.

"I knew it." He yelled walking away from his mum and stood in front of his dad.

"I knew you don't love me, I knew it was all a lie, I know you love Emily more cause I give you a hard time, maybe you should forget about me and show her more love cause you hate me." He yelled and broke the lamp on the floor before running upstairs.

"Charlie." His mother groaned and fell on the couch.
