CHAPTER 5

Anne held her hand, as she always did, as they left the mansion for the club, which was one kilometer away. The staff had already been informed when they arrived, so her breakfast was quick. Martin arrived after she had finished eating, and she dismissed everyone.

“Why did you want to see me, Violet?” he asked as soon as he was seated.

“I was wearing this attire when I suddenly thought of you. How is your family doing these days?”

“Thank you for your mercy, they are all fine.”

"I am delighted to hear that," she said as she sipped her water, “did you hear Suzy is getting married to the first son?”

“I heard it from your brother, yes.”

“All right, then. I want you to surround that jerk sister of mine with security and make sure nothing bad happens to her until she gets married, whenever that may be.”

“Should I inform her?” he asked.

“She is an ungrateful bastard, no need to say more. Be her shadow, protect her without being found out. I wouldn't want anyone to harm even one of her hairs.”

“I'll get my men to work on it.”

“If something terrible happens to that little girl, I swear I will be the one killing you, burying you so deep that no one can ever find you, and ensuring you will never be reborn in any lifetime. Understand!”

“I do, indeed. I will not forget that my life is at your disposal, and I will put everything on the line to protect her,” he humbly spoke knowing the consequences of angering this woman.

“Now we're talking,” she said, smiling at the man she once despised and still does, albeit on a much lower level.

“Is there anything else I can assist you with?” he asked.

“No matter what you do, don't let my brother find out what happened between us. I will never forgive you in the same way that I did the rest of you,” she threatened in a cold tone.

“Remember that I am not the same person I was when you gang-raped me that year. I am Violet now, the woman you bow to, the woman capable of resurrecting you, the white witch, as they call me. But let me assure you, they may call me the white witch, but I'm not that kind, so don't get on my nerves,” Violet coldly spoke.

When she looked at him, she noticed the look in his eyes; it reminded her of what had happened thirteen years before. She could smell it, see it, and hear it. That's exactly how she was when he and his gang defiled her over and over until she was nothing more than a lump of human meat.

“You can go back to work now; I have appointments to keep,” she said, dismissing him as well.

She watched him walk away, and then Anne appeared.

“You came,” she said, looking at her.

TEN YEARS AGO

It had been five years since she started her dynasty, her empire, after finishing her mentorship with her mentor, the woman who had given her life and a purpose in life when she wanted to kill herself.

She was driving around one day, surveying the area where she wanted to buy a house when she noticed a filthy kid running around the street. Even though she had to deal with adversity as a child, her parents never forced her to look like this.

She was skinny and filthy, and her appearance was enough to turn anyone off. She drove slowly behind the girl until they arrived at an abandoned building. She got out of the car and started looking for her until she found her.

She surmised that she lived alone here. When the little girl realized she had a visitor, she quickly turned and made the face that indicated it was her territory.

“Don't worry, little girl, I'm not here to harm you,” she said as she approached her with caution.

“What is your name? What are you looking for?” the kid asked cautiously.

“Let's go somewhere and have something to drink,” she suggested to calm the child down, but it only made matters worse.

Even though she was like that, who knew the kid had principles? She knew it was a bad idea to go away with strangers. So, instead of taking her, she left and returned with some food and clothes for her. She did the same thing for the next month, coming every two days and leaving food and clothes for her.

With time, the child began to trust her, and they instantly clicked. When her parents died unexpectedly, her relatives took away her home; no one took her in, so she ended up on the streets alone to fend for herself. She was bitter and sad for her, so she asked her the crucial question.

“Would you like to be my daughter?”

She was surprised by her question, but what else could she do? If she was by her side, she could protect her and provide her with a life of wealth and luxury. She agreed, and she started the adoption process, which was a little difficult because of those relatives.

She remembered arriving at that lovely home one day and finding both the little girl's aunt and uncle present.

“With that white hair, you look like a witch. What exactly do you want at our house?” they practically mocked and scolded her the very second they saw her.

“I've come to the right place,” she said as she sat lazily sat as if she owned the place.

“Please leave before I call the cops!” the woman yelled at her.

“Do you think I'll be afraid of the cops since I'm a witch?” Violet sarcastically asked as she looked at these people with disdain.

“Tell us what you want and get out of here before our kids’ return,” they were now afraid seeing that Violet wasn’t budging at all.

“Now we're talking,” she said, pulling out the forms from her bag and handing them over.

“You want us to sign this? You must be insane,” the aunt said, looking at her, with rage in her eyes.

“You have no choice but to sign it if you don't want to see me go insane right now!” Violet threatened.

“What is that girl's connection to you?”

“I like her and plan to take her. You're either going to sign that form willingly or I'm going to force you to, and in either case, you won't be able to do anything about it,” she continuously made more threats.
