Wayn Koln
2 — Wayn Koln
The smoky wind brushed past his ruffle hair as he sat there.
His veiny fingers tapping on the surface of the table–indicating that the impatience in hin was increasing with every minute that passed by.
As Lunar–also known as Koln's arm—looked at him, he nervously bent down to the man's ear.
"Mr. Koln, the cafe isn't open yet-"
Wayn kept his hand up.
"It's fine. We'll wait."
Lunar sighed and bowed.
"As you may, sir."
As Lunar stood straight, his eyes scanned the door.
The girl with a short height was standing infront of the door.
Her long hair was tied into a bun and Lunar glanced down at his boss.
The boss's eyes were glued to the dark clouded sky.
The pit-patting rain had already made the wind chilling and cold enough for his skin to warm up.
As bells clanked against each other, a sound of ting made his head turn around.
Her eyes disappearing as she kindly smiled to the people who were waiting.
Bowing everytime she spelled 'sorry' she dropped the bag on the counter.
Brushing down her skirt, her hands landed on her hips.
Eyes meeting his for a second, she immediately looked away but he didn't.
Lunar hesitantly bent to ask if he wanted anything to be ordered but when his boss stood up, Lunar's eyes widened.
"Sir-"
The boss already reached the line and looked at the end of the line.
Her hands tying her hair into a bun, she washed her hands in the kitchen that had the door open.
His eyes digging into her, they trailed down only to freeze on her chest.
As her arms raised to take the sugar from shelves, her plump chest was eyed by his pitch black eyes.
Hands in his pockets, he watched her reach the counter to take the orders.
Eyes upon every customer that passed by, he eyed her posture.
From those doe eyes to her lined cleavage under the button shirt, he scanned her entire upper body with no shame.
Time ticked fast and when he realised it was his turn, their eyes met.
She gave a polite smile and he didn't return it.
"So.. what would you like to have today?"
She politely said within kindness being poured into every word she spoke.
It's as if his ideal girl was standing in front of him.
Sexy, submissive, innocent.
"Hello?"
She hesitantly waved her hand and he snapped out of his thoughts.
"As usual."
She blinked.
"May I know what your usual coffee is?"
He smiled and it was not a usual one like what he asked for his coffee.
"Black coffee, no sugar."
She looked away as his gaze deepened and she nervously wrote it down on the sticky note before looking up.
"Next!"
He walked away as she avoided his gaze.
Leaning against the counter aside, he looked aside as Lunar followed behind.
"Sir, what was that about?"
He spoke as he eyed the girl.
"What?"
"You just denied my service?"
The boss rolled his eyes as soon as he heard lunar speak within his tone getting lower in disappointment.
"Can't I order my own coffee?"
He sighed and Lunar hesitantly nodded.
"Of course, but–"
"Black coffee with no sugar–!"
As soon as she spoke, he stood in front.
"Your coffee, sir."
She smiled as soon as he took it.
"How would you like to pay?"
He took out the card and she turned to him to take the card but then, her eyes fell upon his card.
Black card.
Looking up, she hesitantly took the card.
As she didthe payment, she handed back the card and his fingers grazed over hers.
But she didn't pay attention like he did.
"Thank you, may you visit again!"
She slammed the receipt on the counter and got off the small stool.
Her not so short figure walked off from his vision and he slowly smiled.
Looking down at his coffee, he eyed the words she wrote on the cup.
'As usual'
Looking up as she walked back and forth from the kitchen, he slowly tilt his head and a small smile of amusement spreaded on his lips.
"Cute."
—
The cafe was filled with people ordering morning coffees as usual.
The bright smile she gave to the customers that passed by soon faded away when the customer's has took their order and left.
Looking down at the computer and she tried to focus, her eyes blinked and what she searched yesterday came right back into her mind.
"Where'd you keep the sugar!?"
Her body flinched as soon as those words echoed.
"No, I'm not into those things!"
Her colleague looked at her witha frown on her face.
"What??"
A blink, Jule's cheeks reddened in embarassment before she ran towards her locker.
"Shit, what's wrong with me?"
She ruffled her long hair before trying up once again.
But then, a ding from her phone made her look back at her bag.
Taking out her phone, she leaned against the locker.
Jack Ethos
Can we talk? Please… Just once.
Her eyes watered as soon as they landed on his name.
Slamming it back into the bag, she took a deep breath in.
Her back bent down a bit and her weak body clung onto the table as she fell on her knees.
As her colleague's eyes fell upon her, she immediately yelled aloud.
"Jule? Mike, Jule!" No words left her lips and Mike immediately rushed to her, the only senior who always took care of her.
"Jule? Jule!? What's wrong?"
As he tapped her cheek, he gently spoke and she hesitantly pointed at the water bottle making the colleagues immediately hand it to her.
Taking a gulp of water, she coughed
"I-I'm fine."
She stood up but then, the senior tried to stop her.
"I'll help you take a bus. Go and take rest-"
"No, it's really fine, Senior. I'm really fin.."
"No! You're pale-"
"I just need a minute."
The customers eyed them as they sat there.
Jule nervously rushed towards the door at the corner.
Jule knows that the cafe consists of the restaurant behind which will be empty till evening.
Sitting there, she rested her face in her hands.
Jule's skin turned pale with every second that passed by.
As the cold wind brushed past her skin, his warm hands slowly gripped hers making her flinch.
His dreamy eyes met hers and Jule blinked down the tears.
"Senior?"
He tilted his head before his hands held her cheeks.
"S-senior.. what are-"
"What's wrong, love?"
His breathless tone made her blink vigorously.
Hand balling into a fist on her lap, her mind screamed for her to run away but the fact that his grip on her cheeks were strong, Jule denied that thought.
He's just worried, Jule. He's your senior afterall.
"It's about Mom… S-She will be going into pre-check up. Y-you know that pre–check up the doctor's does before operation -"
Jule broke into tears as soon as she lost her voice to speak.
Arm wrapping around her waist, he hugged her tight making her feel his head snuggling in the crook of her neck.
"It's fine. Everything will be fine.. "
Jule sniffed as his hands slowly trailed up.
As her eyes blinked, his arms slowly wrapped tight around her waist.
A squeeze, he looked into her eyes, breaking the hug.
Hand caressing her cheek, he eagerly leaned in and that's when her hands pushed him afar.
Standing up, she gripped her phone tight in order to stand still without fainting due to the panic attack she started to feel kicking in.
"What are you doing, Mike!?"
Mike chuckled angrily.
"I'm just trying to comfort you. What's wrong with that?"
"Comfort? You almost kissed me and it's a comfor.."
As she was about to exclaim, her phone started going off.
Looking down at her phone, she looked up.
Standing straight, she slammed her hand on the table.
"I'm sorry Mike. I'm not interested in you. It's been years since I told you that yet you never get it. Now, excuse me."
She turned away and Mike gritted his teeth before storming out of the empty Restaurant halls.
"Good morning, Mr. Yin?"
"I'm sorry for this but please Jule, I need you to do it as soon as possible."
Jule nervously paced back and forth.
"I will, Sir. I will, I promise I will pay by the time the surgery–"
"Before the surgery. It's a rule, I cannot do anything. Ms. Annah has been in a coma for two days. It may become hard to perform surgery on her if she stays in coma and she may die anytime–"
"Please don't say that, Mr. Yin. Please.."
Her voice weakened as she quietly sobbed.
"It's for your own good, Jule. I know that you are not in good terms with your father but still. Rules are rules."
As he hung up the phone, she collapsed on her knees.
"Please give me one chance! Please!"
She covered her face as she sobbed aloud.
The time passed by as she spent almost hours sitting there near the window.
Hands hugging her stomach, she hesitantly picked up her phone.
"You.."
Her eyes tears up as she bit her lip, preventing herself from feeling disgusted.
"Have no choice."
And her fingers laid over the keyboard with no hesitation.
"Daddy's girl."
She read it in her mind.
"The most famous model has sold her virginity through Daddy's girl and the popularity of this site has increased 18.9% in one row!"
One of the news reports stated and Jule's finger hesitated to click over the "join now" button.
No, Jule… there must be another way out. You can hang in there..
But, do you have that much time?
Her eyes teared up but when she wiped them harshly, her gaze turned cold and her body went stiff.
"If it meant to be this way, then let it be."
