Emily's Concern For Me
"I don't understand, Aiza! What changed?" Emily's brows dipped in confusion. I sat comfortably on the bed before preparing everything in my head to tell her what was happening with me and most importantly what I am feeling and why.
" It started a few days ago when it was the first day of school. I was so happy that I was going to teach the kids everything." We are mirroring huge smiles on our faces as we both know how passionate I am about teaching our kind and getting to know about everything.
" I can feel your excitement Aiza, you were so eager whenever you talked or explained about the magic and potions to others." She was right, I always tried to explain everything to everyone how everything works and what spells we can use, and how they will work.
My face become seriously thinking about the first vision I got about the mysterious man with an unknown woman.
" I was walking to the school that morning through the woods and suddenly I am on the ground and I am sucked into the vision." Pain and vulnerability seeped through my eyes.
" Everything was the same with the mystery man, he was still standing in the same place where he had been for years near the lake." Tears started streaming down my face and a sob rocked through my body recalling everything it was so painful.
"Shh…Don't cry, sweetie, everything is going to be alright." Emily cooed in my ear while I was sobbing in her arms. I badly want everything to be alright and the pain to go away.
" He…He…He was with a woman Em and I don't know why I am so hurt seeing them together." Voicing out for the first time feels like someone is stabbing me in my heart. Emily is still holding me in her arms and my body is shaking with sobs.
" I heard him saying Mates and they were kissing. Seeing them kissing feels like my heart was burning and I wanted to rip that woman from his arms." When I first saw them together I was burning with jealousy that I never felt before and I was not a jealous person.
" I am so sorry Aiza! I am sorry." Emily started crying with me because of my wrecking sobs which are so violent and mixed with pain, longing, and anger. I was never so confused in my entire life.
" I don't know why I am feeling this way and I don't want to feel this way." I just want everything to stop and go away.
" I know, Sweetie, don't be hard on yourself, and everything is going to be alright." I want to believe her words but something in me is telling me that everything is going to change soon and I will be the one who is going to get the consequences.
I moved back from Emily wiping my tears and telling myself to not be this weak because I have never felt this weak for something I don't even know the cause of. I am not going to allow anything to affect me.
" Something strange also happened to me yesterday, when I woke up from the unconsciousness my body suddenly felt like it was on fire and I felt like my stomach was being stabbed repeatedly with knives." There was surprise and confusion on Emily's face making my brows dip in confusion.
" Umm, I don't know, maybe these are the same symptoms for what I am thinking." She said nervously and from her expressions, I can't clearly read her.
" What do you mean?" I asked, waiting for her to explain.
" I have seen people suffer like this From the symptoms. When I was back in the palace I saw the female demoness and other species, female and male suffer when their mates cheat on them." She is saying what I read from the book and she confirmed that. Emily saw my confused face and held my hand.
" I know what you are thinking Aiza, we witches never had a mate and even never heard that a witch or a warlock had a mate but we never know. Anything can happen in this supernatural world Aiza." What she is saying is right and the last words are also true.
" Why is it happening to me then? Nothing is making sense." I squeaked out, every thought running a mile per second. Everything is just banging in my head ready to burst. My nerves feel like someone is stomping on them.
Emily moved towards me and surrounded her arms around my body calming me with her magic spell which would calm the soul and head. I rested my head on her shoulder and a relieved sigh escaped my mouth.
" I don't know Aiza, but I will help you to find out what is really happening with you." She said, tightening her arms around me. I know I can trust her with my life and she will help me to solve this puzzle which is getting very hard to solve.
" I know you will Em!" A small smile started forming on my face and I know she also had a smile on her face. We are each other's safe places. We always helped each other in everything. When we were seventeen, Emily had her heart broken for the first time by a boy. She caught him cheating on her with her cousin at Emily's birthday party. She came to me crying and sobbing, I never saw her that hurt in our entire lives and that made me mad. Within a second I stormed off to where the boy was and started chasing the boy to break his bones for breaking my best friend's heart.
I was chasing the boy around her backyard in the presence of all the guests and no one dared to stop me because of the anger on my face. Everyone was worried, seeing me chasing the boy but Emily stood there laughing out loud, tears streaming down her face. From then we know that we are going to be there for each other in their thick and thin.
My face turned serious again thinking about the last vision. Every time I just saw the man and the lake but now I am seeing the woman and in the last vision, I saw a place other than the lake. The doors to a room and the doors were carved with dragons.
" Emily! I think I saw something in my last vision other than the usual." I said sitting up straight and she had the question in her eyes.
" What did you see?" Her eyebrows rose in question and eagerly waited for my answer.
" I saw a door!" My eyebrows dipped in confusion and curiosity about What that place is.
" A door? The door is a coming thing Aiza, what is the new thing about it?" She asked, still confused by my words.
" Yes it is a common thing but I saw dragons carved on the large doors." I heard a gasp beside me and it came from Emily.
" Are you alright? What happened?" I asked, why is she so surprised about the dragons? Did she know something about them?
" Yes, No, I mean I don't know Aiza! I know where this place is and I don't know how your visions and the incident connect to that place." She is not making any sense and making everything so difficult for me to understand.
" You are not helping me with that Em! Please explain." I started to get irritated with everything.
" I know where these dragon-carved doors are," she told me nervously and guiltily, whether she even believed that or not.
" Where is it?" I impatiently wanted to know so I can start with something to know about the visions and about the mysterious man and woman.
" The Devil King's palace." She croaked out, making me gasp at her words.
King's palace? Our king's palace? I have never visited the palace before so why did I see the doors from the palace and is the mysterious man from my vision staying in the palace? My head started spinning and everything felt so heavy. I need some time away from all these thoughts and revelations.
I stood up from the bed and Emily followed me.
" I need some time alone Em and I know you understand." I gave her a small smile.
" Yes, sweetie! Take your time and come back here I will be waiting for you." She gave me a tight hug, relaxing me slightly. I waved to her one last time and excited her house.
Sometime with me alone can give me time to think about everything and I can come up with some answers and connect everything together properly.
I know where I can go, that place was my hidden safe from the time I started exploring our small clan. That place calms me. I can peacefully think and reflect, maybe I can find a solution or a connection! May the elders and my ancestors help me with this.
