Chapter 3
After Miss Johnson's very long history class, she left. I turned to Avalie, who was busy talking to the man who had called her earlier.
As what I remembered. His name is Drake.
When she knew I was looking at him, he also said goodbye to the man.
"Meli!" she said, while raising both of her hands in the air. really weird.
"Explain," I simply said.
She even raised his two hands as if she had surrendered. "Relax," she laughs.
"I was here before. I was fourteen years old at that time. Beginner's class." she sighed.
Drake was also from the Beginner's class at that time, which is why I know him and he knows me. When I turned sixteen, I was forced to leave, not because I did something wrong but because I needed to. That's explains everything, "she continued.
I just nodded in return. Perhaps that's why she knows the place better, as well as the classification of the class from beginner to elite. Wait, E-elite?
I looked at her. "So, you know the Elite?"
"Of course," she said proudly.
"Who are they?" I asked, confused.
Her mouth fell open. You don't know them?! For pete's sake, almost everyone ,scratch that, everyone here in Tamora knows them! "
She placed her hand in my ear and whispered, "Especially the princess."
Well, I don't know them. But I choose to stay silent. So, the so-called elites are well-known.
"Meli, listen carefully, okay?" I just nodded and looked at her.
"The Elites are composed of six students, including the princess." They are so powerful when using their power as well as without using it. Just as Miss Johnson said, they are the ones assigned to watch over the princess; they are friends, basically. You know what, they are not only famous because of the power they have and also because of their outward appearance. They are so beautiful and handsome. " Avalie said, "Dreaming."
But where are they? Why can't I see them? " I asked.
She held her breath. "They are unreachable." But one thing is certain: they are present in the school and are wandering around. In addition, they have their own dorms, which is why we cannot see them even in the dorm. However, we will see them when there are events or programs here in Tamora that they always attend.
I'm shocked, and I want to see them.I want to be friends with them, but I want to see their faces. I'm just curious.
"You said that elites are composed of six students. How many boys and girls? "
Her eyebrows rose. "Are you interested?" she teasingly said.
I rolled my eyes. "Just curious," I stated.
"Chill!" she laughed. "Three girls and three boys. Don't worry, we will see them soon, and when we see them, I will give you one Elite. " She jokingly said
I rolled my eyes. Ava and her stupid dreams.
Suddenly, another person comes in. Perhaps he will be the one to teach us about this subject. Wait.
"Ava," I whispered to her. "What is our subject again today?" I added.
"Physical defense," she whispered back. Oh cool. I never thought that they taught that here.
"Good day, class. Just call me Mr. Smith." I will be your defense teacher and, oh by the way, metal mage. " He stated casually.
"Find a partner. As your defense instructor, I need to know your strengths and limitations, as well as whether you know how to fight without using your power," he added.
I looked at Avalie. Just wow! A man had just dragged her to her partner. Nice I don't have any partners. Mark the sarcasm please.
I was about to walk away to find another person when Mr. Smith called me. "What's your name?"
Meliora, "I said politely."
"Are you the only one without a partner?" He asked.
I looked around to find another, but why does everyone have a partner?!
"Yes," I simply answered.
"Alright, come in front." he commanded.
When I reached in front, he positioned himself. Oh!Don't tell me he will become my partner.
"Yes," he confirmed.Mind reader?
"No, it's just obvious the way you looked at me." He said, then smiled. I don't have a choice then.
I positioned myself too. I was waiting for him to make the first move. When suddenly, he attacked me using his right feet. I immediately blocked it.
I punched his left cheek and he dodged it. Fortunately, I was able to avoid it as well.We just punch, kick, and dodge. I almost didn't notice that everyone was almost stopped and gaping.
I threw a punch directly on his face that he couldn't avoid. Nice! When I was about to punch again, he kicked me, so I backed away.
I felt a blow coming, but I easily dodged it. We keep attacking each other until I find his weakness.
His middle part is open, so I used that tip. I did a roundhouse kick straight to his abdomen, which made him fall on the ground.
I held my hands towards him to offer help. He was still strong, though. I glanced at everyone. Amazement was written on their faces.
Mr. Smith clapped his hand, followed by others. "You're great, Meliora. How did you learn that?"
"Training." I simply said.
"That's how you should fight." Mr. Smith said while looking at us.
"Miss Meliora did a great job." She knew what she had to do and she knew where I was weak. " He turned his gaze to me.
"You fight like an Elite." I will tell the Headmistress about this. There might be a big possibility that she will transfer you, "he added. I gasped so that everyone.
Who wouldn't? I just smiled at him.
Avalie immediately runs towards me.
"Holy mother of God, what was that Meliora?" She said loudly. "It was great!" she added.
"Fighting?" I hesitated to answer.
What is that called? Isn't that fighting? I sighed.
"But you were so good," she said, pouting.
I just laughed. Of course, because I need to.
"Miss Avalie and Mr. Drake." Mr. Smith suddenly interupted us.
"Oh, your name was called!" "Good luck! " I said softly to her.
"Aye, aye!" she said, raising her hands in the air. I just laughed at her.
I intently observe them. Avalie seems so good. She was good at fighting. She and Drake only used kicks and punches, and no one was knocked out.
Drake, on the other hand, didn't bother if his opponent was a girl or boy, which is good. Because no matter who you fight, whether it's a woman or a man, you have to give your best.
Not until Avalie fell. Drake punched her in the face. Everyone clapped, including me. That was nice, although Avalie lost.
Shee walked towards me while frowning. I laughed. What a baby.
"Everyone did a good job, especially Miss Meliora," he said. Because of that, everyone instantly looked at me.
I sighed at his choice of words. What would anyone feel if he only pointed at me?
"Okay, that's all for today. You may leave ." "Enjoy your lunch," he added.
"Meli, let's go to the cafeteria," Avalie said loudly.
Doesn't she run out of voice?
"Drake, are you going with us?" Avalie offered. The man looked at her, then at me. I just smile.
He smiled. "Okay, okay," he also said enthusiastically.
While walking, the two kept talking, and me? I was just looking at the road. People were almost looking at us because of the loudness of their voices. I silently smiled. They are both child-minded.
Upon arriving at the cafeteria, Drake instantly offered to be the one to order. I simply stated what I desired to eat, as did Avalie.Drake instantly went to get us our food.
"Hey Meli, why did you order so little?" she asked.
"I'm not in the mood to eat." I just replied.
"Are you on a diet? That's why you're so sexy! "She said, pouting.
I laughed.
I scanned the whole place. This cafeteria looks great. It had lots of chairs and tables that were good for four people only, as well as it was categorized. I noticed that it has different colors like red, blue, and green, which I think is based on which class you belong to. But, what caught my attention was the huge table and chairs in the middle. It's the only one that stands out because it's golden.
After a couple of minutes, the food is finally here. We instantly put our minds and souls into it and stop talking.
When suddenly, Ava spoke. "Meliora, this is Drake, and Drake, this is Meliora," she said to us.
"Nice meeting you, Meliora," he said, smiling. Drake's dark brows, pointed nose, fair skin, brown eyes, and dark brown hair add to his allure.
"Nice meeting you too." I said.
When we were about to shake hands, suddenly the door opened. That left everyone hanging, including the person in front of me, Ava and Drake.
When I turned around to see what was happening, six unfamiliar people were walking towards the center table.
My forehead furrowed. What is he doing here?
When I looked at everyone, they bowed down. My eyes widened. The P-princess is here! I instantly followed everyone and bowed down too.
Wait, if the Princesses are here, so.. they are the elites. It makes sense. That's why I felt a strong power coming earlier.
"You may sit down and continue your lunch." The middle girl said, "Oh, she is the princess."
We sat down and ate in deafening silence. Ava was on the other side, as Drake didn't bother to talk. They just eat in silence.
When Ava suddenly sat beside me "Meli?" she whispered.
I looked at her. "Yes?"
She glanced at the elites. "Why is their leader staring at you?" she wondered.
"Who?" I asked. I looked at them too. Yes. He looked at me. I just smiled at him. "Later," I said quietly.
The other elites seem not to notice, but Ava does. Her eyes widened in disbelief. I laughed.
He just nodded at me while Ava, beside me, still looked at us with her mouth open.
So he became an Elite? I smiled.
