Who is she?

Maxilin returned to his room after talking with Wyiner. He spotted Evan waiting for him as he opened the door.

"Evan, you haven't slept yet?" Maxilin asked.

"I had been awaiting you," Evan said.

Maxilin: "What's the matter?"

Evan appeared to be quite serious. "What is it?" Maxilin wondered as he sat on my bed.

"Maxilin," Evan said, "I think you should return to your father."

Maxilin narrowed his eyebrows and said, "Evan, what are you saying?" "I'm telling you what you should do," Evan said. "Evan, why are you saying this?" Maxilin asked.

"I can't see you in this state. You are putting your lives in danger. Now put a stop to this." Evan said.

"Stop it, Evan. I'm not going anywhere. It is my decision to be here," stated Maxilin.

Evan said, "I can't see you like this, dude." He approached Maxilin and grabbed his shoulder. Maxilin moved his hands and gazed into his eyes.

"I thought you know what I like. But I was wrong. You're sounding a lot like my father right now," said Maxilin.

"I'm not asking you to go, Maxilin. I only want to suggest you don't go hunting alone and don't do the major mission," Evan said.

Maxilin gazed at him but said nothing. Evan lowered his gaze and stated, "I know it will be difficult for us to win the fight. But we are concerned about Maxilin."

"Evan, you're simply thinking about this mark, right?" Maxilin asked. "Do you really think you'll find a solution?".

Evan gave him a serious look and listened to what he had to say. "Evan, it's my problem. So leave it to me," Maxilin suddenly said, gloomily.

"Maxilin, I'm telling you this for your own good," Evan told him in a hushed tone. But Maxilin ignored him and opened the door. He turned around and said, "I can't let people die because of me." He left the room after saying this.

"Where are you going?" "Evan shouted. "Maxilin, don't go out at this hour."

"Evan, you remind me of my father. I don't want you to be like my father," As Maxilin stated, he walked from there.

"Maxilin, wait!" shouted Evan.

Evan's Aside.

I think it is time for me to tell Uncle everything. I don't know whether Uncle Wyiner is saying it to him or not.

Outside of the fort.

Maxilin mounted his horse and bolted from the fort. It's still pouring outside.

After some time,

'clop' 'clop'

Maxilin's horse trotted along at a relaxed pace. While riding, Maxilin took a glance around.

At that hour, everyone was sound asleep. Only a few dogs were barking at the time. They soon stopped barking when they saw Maxilin's horse. Maxilin made his way slowly up the slope. It's a little slippery because of the rain. He fastened the horse to a tree limb and went up the hill and sat and gazed out towards the village. He could see the entire village from here, as well as the fort in the distance.

He took a peek up at the sky. There were no stars in the sky, and the sky was cloudy. Thunderclaps and lightning strikes can be seen from time to time.

Maxilin's POV.

"Father, I haven't heard your voice in a long time. I know you want me to come back. But, I won't come. I want to know the truth. You stated that my mother is to blame for this mark. She lied to us. Her concern for me was all for show off. She only wanted to take advantage of me. You were always blaming her for everything. But when I asked you where she was, you said, "you don't know." You always stop in the middle of words. You never believed me when I said that. I told you my mother would do nothing like this to me. That was something else. You didn't believe me, though. Father, why do you hate her so much?

You've never told us why she left us. When I asked you about my mother, you always ignored my questions, as did everyone else. You've always told me that when the time is right, I'll know the truth. When will it come, though? Perhaps you're simply trying to keep something important for me."

I pulled out my sword and touched it. There is just one gem in it. The other 6 gems appeared to have been stolen, but who did it?

However, the 7th gem suddenly shone. I became cautious. When something bad happened around me, it always sparkled like this. I drew my sword and became more wary of my surroundings. I immediately sensed footsteps surrounding me. I got to my feet and turned around. And the last time I saw someone trying to escape from there, I was surprised. I narrowed my eyes and dashed towards him.

It didn't take long to catch him. I grabbed his cloth and yanked it off.

When I pulled, I widened my eyes. It turned out to be a young woman. She was wearing a mask, and her hair was so long that she tied it up in a ponytail. I took her cover off as I walked away. She abruptly hopped onto a tree, and I did not know where she had gone. I had her cloth in my hands.

Maxilin turned to face the woods as she dashed towards it. He paused for a moment before slowly moving.

"Who is she, exactly? I'm sure it's a female. But why did she flee as soon as I noticed her?"

But then Maxilin got a whiff of something. He narrowed his eyes and smelled the scent of her fabric. He smelled the jasmine scent from her fabric.

Maxilin sat down firmly on the horse and gazed out towards the woods. He then hurriedly rode his horse towards the fort.

The horse was galloping towards the fort, and the howling of wolves could be heard in the woods.
