She looked back at the three rogued wolves which chased after her, and seeing them at a far distance, she could tell they were capable of reaching her in no distant time, but still running there could be a possibility they wouldn't anyway.

She looked backwards, taking glimpse at the distance between them, and loosing focus of the pathway which she took, she collided with something which bounced her off feet, pushing her fiercely to the ground, against the muddy grounds.

"Ah.. damn..!", She groaned at the pain in her head, rubbing her forehead and the temple of her head with her hands, her gaze was still on the ground while she grinned at the pain surrounding her.

Her feet had hurt badly, and if she ever survived to the next morning, her legs would have obviously been filled with blisters, possibly red and swollen at the end.

She couldn't even breathe properly. This was the first time in her life where she ran with such amount of speed and tenacity, running for a long period of time without stopping to rest

Though she did, if she didn't move maybe she wouldn't have been in this situation where she had to run again, this time, faster and more vigorous than ever.

Her knees were weakened and feeble, and her body ached badly as the muscles if he legs and her arms were stretched beyond it's limits, and now her head.

Just when she had hoped that her singular act of running would make a difference in her escape, she couldn't recognize what she collided into.

It was hard and stuff, her head bouncing against this object, and with her views on the ground, slowly tracing up, she could see a pair of black boots on the ground, unmoved by even the collision.

Her eyes widened in fear as many thoughts came into her head. She only hoped that the one who stood in front of her was not part of the ones who hunted her for the rogued wolves.

Maybe this one in front of her was, she didn't look up to see the face of the one who stood in front of her, but she could feel the person's gaze on her and the slow rhythmic sound of his breath, there was power in everything which she could sense.

But would she sit on the ground and let those wolves come meet up with her, no way..!

Surprisingly her wolf would be the first to scold her for being to weak and light hearted, but there she was, sitting on the ground with her hands on the side of her head, massaging them lightly but quickly with no inner voice commanding her to get on her feet and run.

But who was this whose body was as stiff as a concrete wall, whose body made her bounce and fall to the ground, she needed to know this tough being which made her head ache and her heart race at the same time.

She slowly lifted her head, her gaze on his black boots and his neatly arranged trousers, and his structure which was slowly intimidating to her, she took her eyes up, and with his head blocking the light from the full moon which hung in the air, she could see a man whose eyes burned like red flames, his eyes seeming to look exactly like hot lava from a volcano, his structure amd shape sent fears down her body.

She had tears rolling down her eyes when she bumped into him, and now seeing the way he stood with his hands behind his back, she was too scared, even to her bone marrow.

Though she looked up again, she couldn't get a perfect picture of what his face looked like, but the only thing which contradicted her thoughts and views of this man was the way he smiled at her even while she laid in dirt.

His smile showed off perfect Dentition, each set of teeth whitened in the dark, with his burning eyes still shining brightly in the dark environment, she watched as he drew his right hand towards her, offering her help in order to get on her feet.

"I'm so sorry...!", She said in a quick tone, burying her face to the ground again, avoiding his gaze and his stretched out hand, avoiding his offer of help to her.

She got confused for a moment. Was it that her head bouncing on his body had resetbher brain and made her forget the oath to follow still in her means of escape?

She turned around on the ground, sniffling her nose and wiping off the tears from her eyes with the back of her hands still saying again in a haste, "I'm so sorry sir.. I'll sorry".

The way he stood and stared at her gave her the impression of his status, he was probably from a rich and a wealthy family, and she only hoped he wouldn't punish her.

But when he stretched out his hands towards her, it gave her a reason to see that he wasn't there to harm her, neither was he ever going to punish her for something she thought she did wrong.

"It could be a trap..!", She alerted herself while she still knelt on the ground while she thought of his warm and his kind gesture.

She stood up from the ground, this time, she intentionally avoided his gaze, and didn't want anything to do with him. The wolves were coming at a very great speed and so she needed to get to a safe place.

"I'll just leave sir..! Sorry for the confusion..!", She wiped off the tears from her eyes with her palm, and the mucus which was dropping down from her nostrils with the back of her hands, quickly wiping them off on her dress as she stepped t the other side of the road, ready to begin another race again away from the rogued wolves.

She began running, running to a far extent but immediately stopped halfway when he ran into her front, stopping her in her run.

He used his superspeed, running to her front, quickly intersecting her movement before she made a move.

This was something she had never seen, one which made her eyes to widen in shock and caused her to unconsciously open her mouth in astonishment.

This was the first time she ever noticed a man run with such kind of speed, almost at the speed of sound, and she couldn't help but ponder on who this man could ever be.

He still blocked the rays from the moon by the way he stood, obstructing the perfect view of his face and the way he stared at her made her nervous at some point, but still, she was being pursued.

This man obviously didn't have an idea of what was after her, and even if he knew, just like she suspected, he was either working for the ones who were after her or still irate at the fact she bumped into him while she ran for her dear Life.

Even with all these, she still needed to find a safe place for herself and this man wasn't helping matters in any way.

"Please.. I need to leave now..", she uttered with tears in her eyes and pain ravaging her entire body, still struggling with him to move away while he restricted her with his hands on her arms.

"Somethings are after me.. please.. I need to leave now.. please.. let me go..!", She cried as he still held her firm with his own hands, possibly trying to start a conversation with her, but did it even matter at this point in the woods.

"What is after you...?", He asked coldly. His voice was deep and manly, and even though she felt the intense coldness in his voice, she still felt a tiny iota of warmth in his voice, one which made her heart to race while she stood still and calm staring into his eyes.

His words were able to put her in a state of brief calmness, and staring into her eyes, the tears which happened to still be in her eyes were all ignited by fear.

Her eyes were the rarest he had ever seen, glowing even in the darkness, and her hair, though they seemed wet and a bit messy, he could tell of the softness and the silkiness of the hair when his hands had brushed through them the moment he had a brief struggle with her.

But then they locked eyes, and a sensation began to rise within him, one he had never felt before. But would they stare for so long even when he heard her say somethings were after her.

"Hello..!", He called out to her, shaking a bit by the arms when she didn't say a word at all. She shook her head quickly, blinking her eyes as she managed to stammer out some words again.

"I.. I need to leave please...!", Another round of tears were already dropping from her eyes while she stammered, looking backwards to see if the wolves were anywhere closer.

"Wait..!", He held her back again and asked her again, "what is after you..?".

He stared into her eyes, but she stared deeper into his, and while he raised his eyebrows, he said to her again still holding her arm, "what is after you..?!"

While he asked her, he looked up as the sound of tree branches dropped on the ground as the growling sounds of rogued wolves were being heard coming closer towards them.

"Them..!", She staggered in fear as he stammered to utter out some words, pointing her forefinger in the direction of the wolves.

Their claws stuck to the trees as they jumped Swiftly from one tree to the ground, running in haste to capture something which seemed to starve them.

"Rogued wolves..!", The man whispered softly to himself as he stared at the wolves which paused their movement, staring at the man but more on Emily.

She leaped in fear at the sight of their eyes and claws, hiding behind this strange man whom she couldn't tell was for her or against her, but with the way he shielded her from the wolves, there stirred up a reason to trust.
