Nine

I'm waking up, the sun was high because of how long I had slept last night. I struggled to get up. I took a shower. I'm sure others will be ahead of me in applying. Why didn't I force myself to sleep last night? This is the result. I took a bath quickly so that I could finish right away. After I finish taking a shower, I'll get out and go to my cabinet to find some presentable clothes to wear.

After a minute, I was carrying my original channel bag and my application tools as I left my room. I found my aunt wiping the table and cabinets. It was staring at me.

"Where are you going, Gianna?" was its question.

"I'll apply for a job, Aunt. I'll try." was my answer. She laughed as if pleased with what he had heard from me.

"Won't you eat first?" was her question.

"No, I'm so late."

"I'm leaving, Aunt."

I said goodbye as I walked out of the gate of the house. It's a good idea to have a taxi pass by right away. I boarded and delivered to the company I intend to apply to, which is a clothing company.

It turned out that the company was far away because it took us one hour to travel there. If it takes me this long time to wake up, I might as well be accepted. If I can't catch up in a year, I'll be fired right away because I'm always late. The car stopped at a three-story building with a blue color painted on it. I paid the driver and got off.

I had already walked into the company after I closed the taxi door. The guard stopped me from going in since I needed to log into his logbook. I wrote my name and my reason for what I would do within the company. I was inside when suddenly, someone approached me. It’s the staff. Is it like this here? The staff is very accommodating.

"Good morning, Ma'am, which floor are you on?" The female staff member asked me as she accompanied me on the walk. I smiled and said,

"I don't know yet, Ma'am, I'm here to apply for a job."

My answer:

"Is that so? Come join us on the second floor. There's someone to interview you." it said as we approached the elevator.

We are already in the elevator. The woman accompanied me until we reached the second floor. The door opened and we went out together. After we left, we went inside the open door.

We came across a man wearing eyeglasses. He is still in his thirties.

"Work hours, Miss Pia, but you're outside," said the man to the woman with me. I winced at what the man said. He's so rude; he's not handsome.

"I just went with her, sir, because she plans to apply for a job." The woman replied.

"Doesn't she have legs, so you need to accompany her?" the man asked.

This man ran out of my patience.

"If I don't have legs, can I get here in front of you? And the man was swallowed up.

What did he think of me that I would miss what he was saying?

He asked for my applications. I handed it to him, and he looked at me once, saying,

"You're hired. Come back here tomorrow morning for some instructions," it says.

I nodded and went out the door, followed by the woman.

"Just be patient with Sir Rohit Khan, Maam," it says to me.

"He's brokenhearted, so he's rude." She said

"Call me, Gianna, Pia," I said. It nodded and held my arm. "Can you be my friend?" it asked me.

"Of course," I answer as we walk towards the elevator. And simultaneously press the button to open the elevator door. A minute later, we were outside the first floor. I said goodbye to Pia and went home.

"Bye, Pia, tomorrow again," I said, once out of the building.

I took a taxi to take me to the city to buy something for a while before going home. An hour later, I arrived at the mall. I got out of the taxi after I paid. I walked inside and I saw the man with who I had my one-night stand. I was suddenly nervous. I ran to the shelf of perfumes and hid there before he could even see me. Everywhere, why can I still see him here? With the strength of my chest, I won’t get out of here. If I didn’t see him come out of the mall, I peeked through the opening of the shelf to see where he was. I never saw him on the shelf of watches again. Slowly, I got out and went to the grocery section. I will buy junk food. These are my cravings when I have a monthly period. After I bought it, I left the mall in no time. I don't want our paths to cross for too long.

I was at the mall today. After Lance woke up this morning, he invited me to go to the mall to buy a dish later.

It seems that he is planning to live in the house. In the amount he bought today, I turned to the mall door. I was happy with what I saw. A woman turns her back as she exits the mall, wearing office clothes. I can't be wrong. I knew very well the curve of that woman’s body. I could not understand the strength of the tremor in my chest. I followed it out of the mall. When I was outside, I followed the woman. I grabbed her hand. But I was suddenly sad because it was another woman. I was on my way back to the mall when I saw Lance approaching me.

"Where did you go, Marcus?" it asked me.

"Nothing. I just took something out of the car. "

"Are you sure?" was his question. I nodded and started walking.

"I've noticed you've been floating in the days gone by. Are you feeling anything? "

"No, Lance, you're like my wife if you ask a question," I said. It laughed and shook.

I breathed a sigh of relief when I reached the opposite side of our house. Does that man have a sharp eye? It's good that I feel like he's following me, so I run as fast as I could. I got out of the taxi after I paid. I entered the gate and closed it afterward. My aunt's store is open. I was about to enter the house when my aunt called me.

I approached the store and looked inside.

"How's your walk, Gianna? Are you hired?" She asked me,

"Yes, Aunt, I'll start tomorrow, "I replied.

"Good," she said, then smiled.

I'm sure that she is happy to know that I won’t become so happy-go-lucky anymore. She said this while quickly handing me a small white envelope.

"What is it, Aunt?" I will ask.

"I didn't look at that, but she said she paid for it for you."

"All right, she owed me money the other day because her son's wife gave birth."

"Is that so?"

I nodded and left to enter the house. It followed me inside the house as he spoke to me.

"By the way, Gianna, your boyfriend was here earlier."

"Boyfriend? Aunt, I don't have a boyfriend." my answer.

She was confused looking at me.

"But who is Geoff?" she asked me.

I was dumbfounded. What does Geoff want to happen? We're both done. Why is he still chasing me?

"He's just my friend, Aunt." was my answer.

"Just make sure, Gianna, that you're telling the truth because that man looks like he's after you," it says.

"Something like that will happen later when something goes wrong," it says.

I turned pale because my aunt was right. Why hadn’t I thought of it before? I said goodbye to my aunt, who entered the room first.

I went to bed first and was thinking, "What did I do to my life?" I would laugh and cry afterward because I knew that this billionaire old man was looking for me too. The others are being chased because of the debt, but I am being chased because they have already tasted me.

I want to regret what happened. Two people are chasing me now. What happened to Geoff and me was that we just kissed. But I can get him to follow me as if he's crazy, while that old man, I just don't know about him. After I rested, I thought of getting up and getting dressed.

I looked away as I and Lance traveled home.

"What's wrong with you, Marcus? I've been talking to you, but you can't hear me."

"I'm sorry. What are you saying?" I will ask.

He shook his head, and he looked at me intently.

"Tell me, so you can breathe easily."

I sighed. I had no choice but to tell him the truth.

"Do you remember when we used to drink and you came home first because you were drunk?" I told him.

It nodded and looked serious, waiting for something else to say.

"I didn't go home then because someone got into my car first and fell asleep. A woman was drunk. I fell asleep while waiting for her to leave my car. But I just woke up and she was kissing me on the lips because I was drunk and something happened between the two of us. I said. And that woman is still in her twenties. When I woke up in the morning, the woman was no longer in my car. Until now, I still think of her. I feel like going crazy when I don't see her. " I said.

"Do you recognize her by face?" it asked me.

"Yes, Lance, when I see her anywhere I'll recognize her." was my answer.

"Don't you have a picture of her on your phone?"

"Who else will have a chance to take a picture of that time, Lance?" I said.

He shook his head and smiled.

"I think that woman charmed me, Lance. " I said.

"I don't believe in such things, Marcus, you were just really struck by that flash of love," it says.

"How's that now?" it asked me.

"I'll look for her, Lance, wherever she lives in the world," was my answer.

"The city is big, Marcus, even her name you don't know," it says.

"There are many ways, Lance, to find a person who doesn’t want to show up.

o90" I said.

"Why did you find out she was hiding you from you?" he asked.

"Because I didn't see her when I woke up the next day.

" I said.

"Who is the sensible woman to wait for the man she doesn't know to wake up?" he says.

Lance was right in what he said. I didn't know that woman in the first place.

What we had was covered up by the alcohol we drank.

I can't wait to see you again. But I guess destiny doesn't want us to meet.

Three months have passed, but our paths still haven't crossed. An hour later, we arrived home. I got out of the car first, carrying what Lance had bought.

I was in my room. I am thinking of things that can be done to avoid those men. Why is that man still chasing me? Isn't he married? I don’t want to be a fixture! I will do everything to avoid that old man.

The next day, I woke up early. It's my first day at work, and I don't want to be late. I was all set when my aunt said goodbye to me.

"I'm leaving, Gianna," she said goodbye to me outside the gate of the house.

I nodded and followed her after she left. I took a taxi to the company. I breathed a sigh of relief because I wasn’t late yet. I saw Pia standing outside the building. She waved at me as I got out of the taxi. I approached her.

"You arrived early, Gianna," she says to me.

"I don't want to be late on my first day at work." was my answer.

She smiled at me. And we went inside together.

"Miss Maureen isn't here yet," she says.

"Who is that?"

"Our boss and you will be her secretary," she says.

I nodded. "How's the rude man?" I asked her. It made me laugh. and suddenly whispered, She says,

"He didn't come to the office today."
