Chapter 5

Then he grabbed my hands. I was speechless, unable to respond to what he said so enthusiastically.

"Would you please give it to me?" he asked softly, squeezing my palm slightly.

Oh, God! My heart felt like it wanted to escape once more. What does it make me think of this man? Her sadness was contagious before, but her happiness is contagious now. And why does my heart seem to be bursting at the seams with these conflicting emotions? When there was still no response from me, Harris's excitement faded slightly.

"You don't want to? Are you sick of being with me? Do you want to stay in your cabin and rest?"

"Huh? Not at all; that's fine; that's nice,"

"Seriously? So, I'll make a reservation," Harris said, his voice returning to life.

"It's entirely up to you."

"Then let's go," I said as we walked down the narrow corridor to the ship's canteen. And I swear it was one of my most memorable experiences on this ship, walking hand in hand as if we were a couple in love.

"Cheers?" Harris raised the glass he was holding, which was filled with champagne.

"Cheers," I said.

Then we have a drink together.

"Shall we eat?" he asked as we both set down the empty goblet.

"Sure," I said cheerfully.

We ate rapidly. We finished the four dishes Harris had ordered. As we walked back to the deck, we held hands. Harris held a bottle of champagne in one hand that had been slightly discounted. It's eight o'clock at night.

"This is life! I wish my life was like this, our life together!"

Harris shouted with his hand outstretched as if he didn't care about anyone around him.

"Hey! How are you? It's embarrassing for people!" I retorted, laughing.

"It's okay, Eli; I've only recently been this happy, do you know?"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, let us toast to that," Harris said, lifting the champagne bottle and knocking it over.

I stood there, shaken but smiling, watching his enthusiasm.

"You could be inebriated."

"No, you drink as well," he said as he placed the bottle in my mouth.

"Hey! I don't want to!" I would have laughed and avoided him.

"Oh, why? Do you despise me? You don't want to consume what I consume? " Harris asked angrily, but smiled.

"Not at all. I'm afraid I'll get drunk and—-"

"It's not euphoric. You drink, common," he scratched at me.

"Alright!

I had no choice but to give in to him.

"Yes!" Harris was ecstatic.

Harris and I shared another bottle on the deck after the first. We laughed as we were challenged to go out and buy another because our celebration was supposed to be hanging. So, after we finished the second one, my vision began to wander.

I'm already laughing at Harris' corny jokes, and I'm responding with even more corny jokes. However, the two of us laughed out loud. We're still on the deck, lying prostrate on the ship's floor and leaning against the railing. We don't care if some people are tolerant. Harris will occasionally sing a song that I will accompany. Then we'd laugh when the tone was off. We had a good time.

"Would you like more?" Harris inquired as he tossed the empty wine bottle.

"Oh, I don't want to! I'm dizzy," I laugh.

"Are you asleep yet?" he softly asked as he stroked my hair.

"I don't want to; isn't the sky lovely?" I leaned against the railing. and raised his eyes to the sky.

Harris also looked up.

"Yes, the star is also bright. It's also enjoyable for us. "

Suddenly, silence fell between us.

"Why, Harris?"

In silence, I sighed.

"What and why?"

"Why are you so quiet?"

"You're also quiet."

"Eli..." he said after a while.

"Hmmm?"

"The ship is approaching the pier."

I was taken aback. Is this the only reason Harris is depressed?

"When do we arrive at the pier?"

"Right around four o'clock in the morning."

I examined the wristwatch I was wearing. It's 12:01 a.m. It will only be a few hours before our happy time together is over. What is it that makes me want to cry?

"H-harris?"

"Hmmm?"

"I'm feeling dizzy," I said.

My forehead was grabbed.

"Huh? Oh, you might already be drunk," he worriedly stroked my hair.

"Yeah," I replied.

I didn't know if I was dizzy, but I just wanted to flirt with Harris, so I rested my head on his shoulder.

"Oh no! It's my fault; I shouldn't have forced you to drink so much; you're not used to drinking, are you?" Harris said.

"Hey, no one to blame, okay? It's a good drink," I say, laughing.

"Come to the cabin even if you're feeling better; take a nap before the ship arrives at the pier." He gently supported me upright while carefully removing the rest of my head from his shoulder.

No, there was yelling, and my heart was tense as he led me to my cabin. I don't want the time Harris and I spent together to come to an end. When he drives me to my cabin, it means he's leaving me there to go to his cabin. I didn't waste any time with him. One more thing: I'm not in the mood to sleep. Maybe the happiness I'm experiencing is just a dream.

And my awakening was false.

That is not what I want. I secretly dug into his pocket for my cabin key and placed it in his secret pocket.

"H-harris," I explained.

"Hmmm?"

"I'm feeling dizzy."

"As a result—"

When my head finally shook, he was stunned by what else to say.

"Eli!"

Even though Harris was quick to give up my body,

I was forced to drive Eli to my cabin. Aside from the fact that she was fast asleep, I had no idea how to open her cabin door.

As I gazed at Eli's peaceful face lying on my bed, my mind whispered, "You are a temptation."
