Chapter 7

"Bullshit! And why are you cleaning the plates like this?" Mrs. Linda yelled angrily as she touched the dish Elijah had washed

"Why, Ma'am?" she asked, perplexed.

She had only been working in that canteen for a week as a dishwasher and occasionally as a janitress, but her boss chastised her frequently.

"Why?" Miss Linda exclaimed as she turned to face her.

"You're still wondering why? Don't you know the difference between clean and dirty dishes?" It pinched her cheek.

"I'm clean, Ma'am—"

"Clean? Take a look at this!" Then a plate was placed in Miss Linda's hand and rubbed

"Is that how clean you are? My white dishes are splattered with grease and stains."

"Stupid! And you're wasting time and soap, is that right?"

"Eh...

"You idiot! It's nice to have your face rubbed on the plate!" Miss Linda raised her hand, slapping Elijah's face.

"What is that, Linda?" But a large hand restrained her wrist.

"Why-" Mrs. Linda was enraged at whom who clung to her.

Mr. Lorenzo is Mrs. Linda's husband, and he looks like a villain in the film; he looks like a rapist, but the jewelry is on his body, and he can't understand why Miss Linda hit this man when he looks like that. Maybe it's because of the money.

"What are you? Eli has just been here, then you bullied her first!"

"Oh, you're interfering with my plan here in the canteen!" Miss Linda snarled, though the rage on her

"And why not intervene? You are so cruel to people; that's why our employees are leaving because that's how you treat them!"

"Gosh, and why, was I the one who accepted that woman? Weren't you the one who talked to her when she applied? Even without me, you accepted and gave her a room upstairs."

"You mean, your aggression has resurfaced!"

"Melinda, stop your mouth, huh?" The man's gaze and tone were threatening.

"Hmmph!" Mrs. Linda exclaimed as she exited the kitchen.

"Ah, Hija, be patient with your ma'am; you know when a woman is menopausal," the man said, holding Eli's palm.

"It's nothing," she said abruptly, pulling her palm away and stepping back slightly.

Her eyes widened. How many times has Elijah observed Mr. Lorenzo holding her hands? Then there were times that when she turned her back, he would suddenly embrace her.

"All right, I'll come out first; just improve your work so your ma'am doesn't get angry," he laughed and looked at her.

"Yes."

He simply nodded.

"Good."

That's all he said, and it turned outside.

Elijah simply sighed and went about her job.

I won't be able to stay here for long. I needed to find a new job and a place to live.

"Eli... "

Maureen hushed. One of the waitresses had earlier peered through the door.

"How come?"

"I told you, you'll fix your job. Ma'am Linda's eyes are on you because she's jealous; she doesn't want Sir Lorenzo to hire the applicant because she knows her husband is a maniac with an ulterior motive."

"I wash the dishes thoroughly, and I'm sure there's no grease attached; I'm really curious, eh."

"Oh my gosh, she must have had the dirt in her hand when she touched the plate; that pig is a framer."

Elijah simply sighed.

"I'm not going to last here."

"It's better that you get out of here. You know I'm nervous about the way Sir Lorenzo is staring at you. It's annoying, so there's a reason for his wife to be jealous. I'm wondering at you that you've been here for a week and you're still not being touched by that idiot. He'd only been crawling here for three days when you replaced the waitress, who was also sleeping upstairs. He was threatening her and staring at her in an attempt to silence her. The situation is that Ma'am caught them; she's like trash thrown out of this canteen. "

"I lock the door at night, I block the bed so it can't be opened, and when that man knocks, I pretend I can't hear."

"That's correct, but you'll still be cautious because the devil has many ways."

"Thanks; I'll keep that in mind."

That night, in addition to locking the door to her room, Elijah blocked the bed from the door as soon as she walked in.

She tucked the knife she'd taken from the kitchen beneath the pillow.

I can't let that man get near me. I'll leave here when I get paid.

She lay down on the bed after turning off the light. The only light she could see was dim light coming in through the glass window from outside the house. Elijah took a moment to look around the small room. Narrow, many-stacked boxes with groceries on one side of it.

Those responsible for hanging what was on the wall. Overall, it felt more like a warehouse than a bedroom.

She bit her lower lip as she recalled her room in their large house. It looked like a princess's bedroom. Her bed was so soft, the air conditioning was so cold, and her blankets and pillows were so soft and delicious to touch. She didn't want to be reminded of the opulence she had left behind. At the very least. She is unable to marry a man she dislikes. It's just that she wishes her father would stop interfering in her personal life.

Elijah closed her eyes slowly. She was exhausted and all she wanted to do was sleep and rest.

She should be awake at five o'clock in the morning and midnight. But how sleepy she was, just like the previous nights.

What are you doing now, Harris? A bead of tears was dripping from her eye. Do you remember who I am? She appeared to be cold as she curled up and hugged herself. It's difficult for you to forget. Hopefully, I learned how to love you before we broke up. She sobbed quietly.

And at least, I will only have fond memories of you no matter where I go. The tears in his eyes finally broke. What if I don't stay away from you? I know, I felt like I was important to you too somehow. If I fought for how I feel for you, would I take you away from her? She was energized.

"Hija .."

"Huh?" He suddenly woke up.

"Mr. Loren ..." But his palm covered her mouth.

"When your ma'am wake up you will be harmed by me."

No! You beast, release me, her brain screams as she goes crazy.

But the man was strong, fueled by the worldly lust that was felt in her. He ran the heavy body over her.
