Chapter 2: The Power of the Female Alpha

Delia's POV.

"Colin, that's enough!" I walked over to Colin's side, I didn't want to make things more complicated.

Colin retracted his foot and then he stood directly behind me.

"I'm sorry, Delia, I was impulsive."

I saw Colin's eyes linger on the man's body for a moment, and then, he withdrew his gaze.

I didn't know why, but when I saw Colin like this, I associated him with puppies for no reason. He did look nervous, too, and I could understand how he felt.

Colin must have thought I would scold him, but I had no intention of doing so, although his actions were indeed a bit reckless.

I held out my hand and shielded him behind me, and as I looked at the man, he still had a very malicious look in his eyes. But he also seemed to know exactly who he could ask for a statement from.

To be honest, if I had to apologize to this loser, I'd rather be punished somehow, and taking responsibility for Colin wasn't such a bad thing.

I simply walked over to him, and as I did, I stepped heavily with the hard sole of my shoe over the hand that Colin had already broken.

Once again, a scream erupted from him, even more miserable than before.

I found the sound very melodious.

"It's okay, it's just a piece of trash."

After saying that, I turned around and walked out.

Colin froze for a moment, but he soon followed. We completely ignored the chaos behind us.

"Stop!" At this time, a man suddenly rushed out from the middle of the crowd.

I was drawn to the voice, and after getting a good look at him, I was sure that this person must be a little related to the guy lying on the ground.

"What are you? Women are not allowed to attend Alpha's meetings; you'd better tell your companion or you'll end up in a bad way."

I could feel his anger, but that feeling could not oppress me at all.

I raised my hand and straightened the broken hair that was in front of me behind my ear, and the moment our eyes met, I thought he would be able to understand what I meant.

"He was the one who offended me first." I said softly.

The words were clearly audible in the scene, and I could feel the stares of the crowd, those knife-like stares that I had long since grown accustomed to.

"I'll give you one more chance to tell me, woman, to whom does your Alpha medal belong?"

My patience reached its limit.

I didn't answer his question, I just said calmly, "Colin is just fulfilling his duty, are you the alpha beta? I don't mind cleaning up another piece of crap myself if you want to stand up for him."

I never take the initiative to start a fight, but if someone else made the first move, it's not my fault.

I knew that he couldn't stand my provocation.

With killing intent in my eyes, my arm swung before my opponent grabbed me, he didn't seem to expect me to move so fast, he was still in surprise, and I had already used my inertia to directly drop him to the ground.

"What?!"

I narrowed my eyes, and before he could break free of my grip, I pushed straight up and ripped his arm off.

In that moment, I briefly unleashed my power, and I could see the veins protruding from my arm, even as my palm vaguely took on the shape of a wolf's claw.

But after the others were disturbed by the commotion, I regained my composure once again.

The man gritted his teeth and let out a muffled grunt, and I saw the sweat that sprouted from him for a moment.

"This is just a lesson, I don't mind having a real duel between werewolf with you, as long as you're not afraid you'll be torn to pieces."

I looked at the man who had fallen to the ground and spoke in a very calm tone.

The commotion seemed to have scared the others.

When I looked up at the other women gathered around, they were desperately trying to hide in the arms of their male partners. And the strong male alphas, when they looked at me, their eyes became no longer the same as before.

"Does anyone else want to try it?"

My voice was soft, but the party scene also became very quiet.

"Alpha Delia, the leader of the ED pack, I know you and your pack," the werewolf I had just knocked down stood up again, his cheeks all twisted with anger, and even his gaze became fierce, as if he didn't care about the arm that I had just injured.

"I gave you a chance."

I waited no longer, and the moment I rushed towards my opponent, I heard the screams ringing out around me.

"Delia!" I heard Colin shout, but there was nothing to stop me now.

His arms were so thick that mine were pitifully slim compared to his, but I could still leave marks on his arms.

I dodged his attack the moment his fist came at me.

He looked like he wanted to crack my head open, and I could even feel the wind carrying his fist.

But he was too sluggish. I only had to move my body a little to avoid his attack.

He shouted in anger and charged straight at me.

The crowd screamed and dodged, and I took the opportunity to raise my leg to block his fist.

I felt the pain in my leg, but, my face remained silent, I couldn't stop at this point.

I didn't give him a chance to react, and the next second, in the moment of his surprise, I grabbed him by the throat.

Yes, I grabbed a beast by the throat.

My palm was warm, I could even feel the beating of his pulse, this life in my hand was now full of rage.

"I will kill you!"

Just as his words fell, my arm pressed up against his back, and under the weight of my elbow, he could not stop himself from being thrown to the ground, in a humiliating and wretched display for all to see.

But that was not the end of it.

I did not fear the power itself, because I did not lack it.

My eyes were full of anger, an emotion that was suppressed in the bottom of my eyes so that only he could see it, and then my swinging fist slammed heavily into his chest.

When my fist fell, I heard the sound of broken ribs, he spat out a mouthful of blood, he could not say a word, and could only look at me with such a resigned look.

Silence, in spreading.

When I turned around, Colin, I didn't know when, had stood behind me.

He looked around at the people with a wary gaze, and only then did I have time to properly observe their reactions.

Awe, suspicion, disgust ...... These emotions were all too familiar, and I had long since grown tired of them.

"Come on, Colin, we're tired enough for today."

No one else stopped us, and this time it seemed to go unusually well; the men even took it upon themselves to make a path for us.

We left the party directly and went back to our temporary residence. Only here could I completely relax.

I suddenly remembered something, and then stopped in my tracks as I turned to Colin, "Hold out your hand."

"Hmm?"

I reached out and pulled my hand straight through, and then, lifted his sleeve.

More than this situation, I wished I was dealing with something like what I just did.

"You shouldn't have been impulsive."

"He's not allowed to say things like that to you."

"Shut up."

"Okay."

On our way to the banquet, we had an unfortunate encounter with a pride of lions while passing through the Tal forest, where Colin was wounded. Their wounds were already very serious, plus they were not treated in time afterwards, and the wounds had already been infected once.

This time to do, the injury seemed to be more serious.

Colin stopped talking and watched me treat his wounds.

The moonlight spilled over Colin's body, and when I suddenly looked up and our eyes met, he turned his head away in panic.

My brow furrowed.

"Mona has arrived."

"How's she doing?"

"Don't worry, no injuries, she's safe now, you don't have to worry."

After hearing Colin's answer, I was slightly relieved.

I was silent for a moment, "I don't think Mona knows about this, right?"

"She's very busy right now and doesn't have time to pay attention to us."

I looked at Colin and found that he didn't seem very sure either.

"However, Mona told me to tell you not to be too flashy here."

I thought about it carefully and eventually came to the conclusion that today's events weren't exactly flashy.

Female alphas had been treated unequally for a long time, and I had just done what I could have done.

"Where is Mona now? Did she find anything new?"

Colin looked at me and he shook his head gently, "The trail is broken, Delia, someone is investigating the Eye of Moon Goddess just like we are, and, they are moving faster than we are."

I wasn't surprised by this result.

"Do you remember the group of lions that we met on the way to here?"

When we were passing through the Tal forest, we encountered a pride of lions. However, the incident itself was very strange. That road was recognized as the safest road, and the presence of a pride of lions was something unreasonable. Moreover, werewolf's body had a kind of breath, this breath was easily detected by the animals, and those animals easily knew not to easily anger us.

But, we were still attacked.

Those lions were like a frenzy, even if Colin attacked them with maximum force, as long as the lion did not die, then it would not let go of the mouth.

Because we rarely left the pack, we were still a bit unfamiliar with the outside world.

I had expected the wildlife in The Tomb Soil Center to be more brutal and have a strong desire to defend their territory.

But now, I didn't think it would be that simple.

Colin was smart enough to realize immediately, without me saying much, that it wasn't that simple.

"Could it be the same people who did this?"

Colin and I were worried about the same thing.

"I'm not sure, but if it's not the same people, things will become more troublesome." I closed my eyes and stifled a sigh.

Several days of fatiguing road trips, plus all these things, I had never been as tired as I was now.

I closed my eyes and sat down in the chair to rest, and Colin didn't say anything else.

Just when I thought he had left, I opened my eyes, only to see Colin looking at me.

His gaze looked very calm, but, the moment our eyes met, he averted his gaze.

"Do you need me to call Mona over for you?" Colin asked me once he withdrew his gaze.

"Not for now, she'll come to me if she needs to."

"Then I won't bother you."

Colin said and was about to leave.

I was still thinking about the way Colin looked at me just now, and I was a little confused about what his eyes really meant.

He left quickly, as if something was chasing him. He had become a bit strange lately.
