Chapter 3: Mate Establishment

Delia's POV.

I had expected this kind of situation to happen at the party.

Dohrn had warned me about it before coming to The Tomb Soil Center.

However, I decided to come anyway, and for various reasons, I had to do so.

I also had to attend the meeting the next day.

After the meeting started, they discussed some issues that were not important at all.

Alpha had a strong possessive desire for their territory, and I was only there to attend the meeting, and had no interest in what they discussed.

It was also at this time that I felt a very hot sight fall on my body.

This was the first time I met Allen, one of the most powerful alphas in the legendary The Tomb Soil Center area!

After the eyes met, I didn't take my gaze away.

Allen seemed to show some curiosity about me, but his attention wasn't always on me.

For they soon discussed the next question.

I withdrew my own gaze and put my attention on the content of the council again.

"Alpha Eliot proposed to abolish the female Alpha's rule over the pack, and he suggested that when the female Alpha's right to rule was removed, her pack could be incorporated into the surrounding packs, and the female Alpha could retain the proper right to live, but, not to continue to rule the pack. For this proposal, forty-five Alphas expressed support, twenty-six Alphas expressed neutrality, and eight Alphas expressed opposition. Now, then, the only female Alpha present has the opportunity to argue her case."

The only female Alpha?

I suddenly felt ridiculous that this question was thrown directly at my head, and I didn't even have a chance to prepare for it.

If I had the chance, I would have dug out all these people's brains to see what was contained inside.

I slowly stood up, and at that moment, I noticed that Allen had his eyes on me.

Allen's POV.

I didn't care if my name would be on the roster for this party or not.

I was compelled to attend this dinner because of my status. I had gotten used to the sight of a false mask glued to everyone's face.

Even if the mask before all the ugly face stained with blood.

The only thing that made me a little bit of interest was the Beta who looked very solid.

He was very powerful, but I knew he was just a beta.

Alphas generally had the ability to judge rank unless the object of judgment was too inscrutable, but I was different from them.

I could tell at a glance that this beta was more powerful than the average alpha, but alas, he was just a beta.

I didn't care about winning or losing this commotion.

To be honest, if an Alpha could be defeated by a Beta, there would be no need for him to exist at all.

But it was the female Alpha that really irked me a bit.

She wasn't weak, but, she was a little too arrogant.

Of course, I had thought that after they left, I would not bother with what happened here.

After all, now they were kind of the center of attention.

That Alpha who was taught a lesson was not strong enough in himself, but, the Alpha's dignity could not be provoked.

In werewolf's rules, the Alpha had supreme power, but that had to be based on strength.

I looked at his struggling and writhing body and my disgust reached its peak.

The scum that struggled like a maggot.

I walked over to him and before anyone could react, I kicked him over and then stomped on him with my foot outstretched as he tried to get up. I was not very strong, at least I thought so, but he was pinned down that easily, without the slightest possibility of resistance.

There were screams from all around, the women's screams were very clear. But such a cacophony of sounds soon disappeared.

The moment he looked at me angrily, our eyes locked, and then, I narrowed my eyes.

I saw the fear in his eyes: "A. . .Allen, how could it be you, uncle! Uncle Lemon!"

I turned my head and looked aside at Gladstone, who was already on his feet, and he nodded to me and, without saying anything, turned and left straight away.

I withdrew my gaze.

At least the family wasn't all such idiots.

"Wipe those tears off your face, stupid, I don't think that beta broke your leg, you better get up on your own, if not, I guarantee you'll never get up again from now on, don't keep disgracing yourself, you represent more than just yourself." My voice was soft, but loud enough for him to hear clearly.

He gulped as if he had seen something unusually scary, then he nodded at me in awe, and only then did I let go of him.

I watched him reluctantly get up, and in the process, he didn't even dare to give me a glance, and after he struggled to get up, he stopped caring about his image and fled from the place in a great panic.

When I looked at the crowd of onlookers, they very tacitly withdrew my gaze and went about their business - I knew they were just scared of me, it didn't matter.

It was like a little interlude, nothing more than an impromptu show to enjoy. Still, I was impressed enough after seeing how well that female Alpha could do.

The female Alpha named Delia's looked like even I had to praise her green eyes were indeed very beautiful, I had never seen such eyes, those people praised her beauty all for a reason. But female Alpha could not save her life in a moment of danger because of her looks.

I drained the red wine I was holding in my hand, and Julia came up to me and helped me remove the empty glass.

"It looks like you're interested in that woman?" There was something playful in her words.

I just laughed softly at that and I turned my head to Julia, "She's pretty, isn't she?"

Julia gave me a soft smile, "Yes, and I'm sure Edwina will love her when she sees her."

I nodded, finally looking forward to tomorrow's parliament a little more.

On the day of the council, Delia showed up. There was no reason for her not to come.

The only thing that surprised me a little was the content of the issues.

I thought this proposal would come later, but I didn't expect it to be brought up so early.

I didn't know a lot about Eliot, but he didn't seem particularly smart, and when I thought about the actions of certain people among the nobles, it was very likely that Eliot was being used.

However, what I was most concerned about now was Delia.

She seemed to have not thought that someone would make such a request.

However, Delia did not show any panic as she stood up from her seat and scanned the people around her with her eyes.

I narrowed my eyes, eager to know exactly how she would settle the matter.

"The werewolf has existed for thousands of years, and at the beginning of the werewolf's existence, Moon Goddess had set the only rule that the strongest among a pack would be the leader." Delia's gaze shifted away from the Judge's body and surprisingly ended up resting on mine.

I raised one eyebrow and met her gaze.

Delia continued, "Moon Goddess gives equal rights to the men and women in werewolf, and they all have the opportunity to be a good Alpha, so no one can deny the female Alpha the right to rule the pack."

I thought that according to Delia's character, she would not explain and then just do it and beat up the Alpha named Eliot badly.

However, it was surprising that she would treat this one thing so sensibly.

"It's not that the alphas can't fight with each other, but, the alphas represent the whole pack, that is to say, once you want to deprive the female alphas of their rights, you are touching the interests of the whole pack, and then the real war will happen between the two packs, I want to ask Alpha Eliot, are you ready to accept your pack's demise?"

"Ridiculous!" A sarcastic laugh suddenly came from the crowd, I followed the sound and looked over, a young man stood up from his seat.

He should be Eliot.

"You're right, the noble Moon Goddess has told us the rules, that is, power determines everything, and if you don't have enough power, your pack should be devoured."

If I was not mistaken, I should have seen contempt in Delia's eyes.

"Very well," she trailed off, contempt had even dawned in her eyes, and I knew she must have some other way to counter Eliot's words, "According to your words, after the female alphas, the other weaker alphas will be the next target, and you plan to take over all the packs? No, maybe you'll end up being-"

"Delia," I interrupted her.

I couldn't believe I would think she would be a very stable person, and sure enough, my thoughts were still a bit sketchy.

She hadn't even considered what kind of place this really was.

"Alpha Polikor gave an order a long time ago forbidding pointless fights between packs, so the situation you're talking about won't even occur." I looked at Delia's face, and my gaze was already filled with a warning inside.

However, Delia didn't intend to stop.

"Then, I would like to ask, since you all disagree with the banning of weak packs, what right does that have to deprive the female Alpha of her pack? Also, I think you have seen it, Alpha Allen, I am not weak."

The scene became silent, and I could feel the sight of the crowd.

There was only one way in front of me, and that was to agree with what Delia said, because as long as she got the approval of the strong, she would not be in a more dangerous situation.

So, Delia intended to use me directly.

She was smart enough to know how to use all the resources available to her.

The corners of my mouth hooked up gently, and I finally laughed lightly in disdain.

"You're right, Alpha Delia, but before that you ignore one question."

I saw some slight hesitation in Delia's gaze, but, still, she didn't withdraw her gaze.

"What?"

"The purpose of the council."

"What exactly are you trying to say?"

The pack of werewolf became scattered, and in order to better maintain the stability within the werewolf and avoid direct head-on conflicts between the werewolf and humans, the alphas were required to conduct regular councils together.

There were also other werewolves outside The Tomb Soil Center, and within The Tomb Soil Center, the most vocal Alpha was Polikor, whose power was recognized by all, and most of Polikor's bloodline were Alphas, so The Tomb Soil Center's The real center of the werewolf was the Polikor family. This was also the aristocracy among the werewolf.

Rather coincidentally, Polikor and I had a complicated relationship, so the only one I had to deal with was Alpha Polikor, and I was the aristocrat outside of the aristocracy, and it was me who had the most to say about this council.

"Delia, I understand your feelings, but the council is to identify special problems and then solve them, and it is clear that the female Alpha's problem is a special problem. Alpha Eliot could see the tragedy that appeared in the female Alpha before he raised the issue, you are suspicious, paranoid, emotionally and competently unstable, there will be someone better suited to rule your pack than you, won't there?"

It was only now that Delia showed a truly nervous look.

She looked at me and didn't rush to speak.

I waited patiently for her answer.

In the end, she chose the roughest and most dangerous path.

"If you want to pass this proposal, then you must have enough evidence to prove that I am not capable of ruling my pack, until then, once you try to attack me and my people, I will start a war without any hesitation, and in the end one of the two Alphas will always stop breathing first, until I become that person, otherwise, I will not compromise. "

Delia's intimidation was built up in a flash.

As she said this, as she lectured that stupid Alpha earlier. Everyone could feel her toughness, including me.

The atmosphere became a little tense, and as long as I didn't speak, no one dared to break the silence.

However, the moment I wanted to speak, I suddenly felt a strange change in my body.

Delia and I were gazing at each other from a distance, when a strong feeling drove me closer to her.

When I saw her sudden change of expression, I knew that the same thing had happened to her.

Delia's face became so ugly that my heart felt like it was being opened, there was no real pain, but it was a really bad feeling.

Everything around me started to change and become a bit unreal, and I gradually cut off from the outside world.

However, I knew that the time between losing my sense of the outside world and regaining it was only a few seconds, and no one would notice this.

At this time, I found Delia unexpectedly left directly from the position and rushed out.

"With her gone, what does the council do? Directly agree?"

I felt unusually annoyed, then, I coldly spoke: "All shut up, all forget about this stupid proposal, any more stupid people mention this matter, I will directly crush his head."
